Is there a standard way to have a cuetext effect on a TMemo, or do I have to fiddle with the OnEnter/OnExit events and roll my own?

• Custom spring interceptor

  Hi, I want to convert some of our internal API into a spring bean spring interceptor that we can use in other projects. This API needs some instantiation and other logic which I want to encapsulate in this bean so that we can just put the bean into our app context with necessary propoerties alone, and this will then apply the logic. I remember having read an article on this somewhere in the past - but cant find it now. Any pointers to something similar will be helpful EDIT: Sorry, I meant a spring interceptor, not a bean - my bad - please see my edit. I want to apply this interceptor to another bean dealing in XML messages.

• How to stop HTML text in textarea to be interpreted as code

  I have a textarea that users can edit. After the edit I save the text in a PHP variable $bio. When I want to display it I do this: <?php $bio = nl2br($bio); echo $bio; ?> But if a user for example types an HTML command like "strong" in their text my site will actually output the text as bold. Which is nothing I want. How can I print/echo the $bio on the screen just as text and not as HTML code? Thanks in advance!

  I'm trying to display a video in my sdcard on the video view. I get an error saying the application has unfortunately stopped. I would appreciate it if someone could help me. Thanks. EDIT : I used the debugger and found out that I get an InvocationTargetException. The detailed message says that : Failure delivering result ResultInfo{who=null, request=1001, result=-1, data=Intent { dat=file:///mnt/sdcard/test.mp4 }} to activity : java.lang.NullPointerException EDIT : I looked at the logcat again and it seems to give the error at videoView.setOnPreparedListener(new MediaPlayer.OnPreparedListener() { I'm guessing either videoView or MediaPlayer is null.

What I wonder is: Do I have any flaws in my rethrow helper methods? Some corner cases I've missed? (I know that the Throwable may have been caused by something so severe that my undoInitialize will fail, but that's OK.) Has someone already invented this? I looked at Commons Lang's ExceptionUtils but that does other things. Edit: finally is not the droid I'm looking for. I'm only interested to do stuff when an exception is thrown. Yes, I know catching Throwable is a big no-no, but I think it's the lesser evil here compared to having three catch clauses (for Error, RuntimeException and SomeException, respectively) with identical code. Note that I'm not trying to suppress any errors - the idea is that any exceptions thrown in the try block will continue to bubble up through the call stack as soon as I've rewinded a few things.

• Eclipse Basic Web Development?

  I want to start doing web development with Eclipse. Not Java, tomcat, axis2, or anything else anymore complicated than basic XHTML / JS / CSS development, at this time. Problem 1: I realize that it can edit those files, but its trying to manage my HTML docs as part of "my workspace", and all I want it to do is manage the files as part of my local www server HTdocs directory. Problem 2: I would like to edit WYSIWYG-style, if possible. I tried installing a plug-in for that, but I wasn't able to get w4 toolkit to function properly. This would really help me to speed up development, I think. Follow-up: I've installed WTP and its dependencies (except for the tests portion, which had install problems due to dependencies that were seemingly irreconcilable).

• Qt - arguments in signal-slots

  I have a QPushButton, QDateEdit and another custom object. I want to connect the button to the date edit object in a way that when I click the button, the date edit object will change its set date to a date defined on the custom object. Kinda like this: connect(pushbutton,SIGNAL(clicked()),dateedit,SLOT(setDate(custom_object.getDate()))); but I can't do that. Apparently, the connect statement doesn't specify what's the information being passed from the signal to the slot, only the type of the information being passed. Is there a way to do this without having to create a new class?

• Print out PDF with javascript [closed]

  I have a need to print out multiple PDFs with the help of javascript. Is this even possible without rendering each PDF in a separate window and calling window.print()? Basically, I would like to be able to do something like print('my_pdf_url'). Edit After some searching, I have come to the conclusion that there are no other methods than the one I've described above. It is a far from perfect solution, but it works in simple cases. Edit I ended up merging the PDFs to a monster PDF on the server side and then send this single PDF to the user, who can then choose to print it out.

• MS Access MSChart.Graph.8 not printing

  Software: Microsoft Access 2007 SP2 Database File Version: Access 2000 I have an access program that I inherited from a previous employee. It uses forms for reports and since I don't have much experience in access I have continued to do this. I have created a copy of the program for another project and modified it to suit. I am having trouble getting more then one chart to print. All the charts display in form view, they all have the same properties (excepting data, position, etc.) For some reason they are not printing. They don't even show up in the print preview. I am thinking it must be something with the graphs themselves as they sometimes lose all information. I have to open the graphs in edit mode and change the data source from column to row and back again so that it gets redrawn. (Refresh doesn't fix it) So right now I don't even have a clue as to where to look so ideas are welcome. Edit #1 It seems to be a problem with linking to an unbound form. Subform Field Linker: Can't build a link between unbound forms. • What Amazon S3 .NET Library is most useful and efficient?

  There are two main open source .net Amazon S3 libraries. Three Sharp LitS3 I am currently using LitS3 in our MVC demo project, but there is some criticism about it. Has anyone here used both libraries so they can give an objective point of view. • Ruby on Rails check box not updating on form submission

  I have an entries controller that allows users to add contact information the website. The user-submitted information isn't visible to users until the administrator checks a check box and submits the form. • iPhone SDK: How to detect a row-hit while in the editing mode?

  I've looked everywhere and I can't find it. I have a UITableView that contain rows of "checkmark" cells. The user clicks on a row to check/uncheck it. (It works!!!!) But I also want to allow the user to EDIT the data on that row. ... so I have an "EDIT" button at the top. The user hits it and is allowed to DELETE any rows. (That works too!!!!) But how do I also detect a "tap" on that row. Where is there some kind of a didSelectRowAtIndexPathWhileInEditMode ???? (Is that really the best way to do this: Allow "selections", and "deletions", and "editing" of each row?)

• Filtering custom fields on wordpress admin page

  I'm currently working on a wordpress 2.9.2 plugin (my first) that creates additional custom fields that will later be read from the template. The plugin adds an additional meta box to the "Edit Post" screen which is responsible for manipulating these values. My problem is that the custom fields generated by the plugin also show up in the "Custom Fields" box. Ideally I would like for the custom fields generated by the plugin to be managed separately from any other custom fields for that same post/page. Is there a way that I can filter fields specific to my plugin to prevent them from being displayed in the "Custom Fields" box? I have yet to locate any action or filter that will let me capture and manipulate those values before they are rendered on "Edit Post".

• Using jQuery in a GridView?

  I have a traditional ASP.NET GridView. Inside of it I have a Template Field with edit capabilities. I need to use a jQuery autocomplete plugin on the edit piece. It works anywhere but inside of this GridView. In other words, I know the plugin works. Here is the ASP.NET stuff (yes, I'm using a SqlDataSource): <%# Eval("INGREDIENT_CODE") % And here is the jQuery in the document.ready(): $('[id$=txtEditIngredients]').autocomplete("LookupCodes.aspx?type=IC", { mustMatch: true }); What might I be doing wrong here?

  I wish to block ALL my content from any users using an ad-blocking browser extension (ie. Adblock Plus for Firefox, Adthwart for Chrome). How can I acheive this? Is there a server-side solution? Client-side?
