  • Connecting client (on VirtualBox) and server (on localhost) using CORBA - org.omg.CORBA.BAD_PARAM:

    Im working now on simple gui appllication in Java/C++ and CORBA. I want my client on VirtualBox connect to server on localhost. When I have a simple app, like a calc I wrote about earlier its just fine. But when it comes to run client which needs some args witch javas -cp option, Im getting errors. (Theres no such problem when I have both client and server in localhost!)     hello i have 2 tables: tblItems ID | orderID | productID 1 1 2 2 1 2 3 2 1 4 3 2 tblProducts productID | productName 1 ABC 2 DEF im attempting to find the most popular Product based on whats in "tblItems", and display the product Name and the number of times it appears in the tblItems table. i can get mysql to count up the total like: $sql="SELECT COUNT(productID) AS CountProductID FROM tblItems"; but i can't figure out how to join the products table on..if i try LEFT JOIN the query goes horribly wrong hopefully thats not too confusing..thankss

    Im trying to write down an UTF8 string (Vietnamese) into C# Console but no success. Im running on windows 7. I tried to use the Encoding class that convert string to char[] to byte[] and then to String, but no help, the string is input directly fron the database.     Im using the Twitter API to read the Favorites RSS, it generates the following output: http://vl3.co.uk/favs/getfavs.php I'm not sure why this file seems to be incorrect, doesnt come up in my RSS reader or render correctly in the browser.     Im trying to "get" when a finger/touch leaves a UIButton in objective C for iphone. I was told in another answer to use UIControlEventTouchDragExit however this event only fires when the touch gets about 100 pixels away from the button, whereas I would like it to be immediate. The apple docs say that goes according to the bounds however my understand is the bounds and the frame are the same unless you rotate the UIbutton (or whatever)
