  I am a newbie programmer, so I will need your help! Locally the webapp works ok with the db on it! When I uploaded the application on the cloudcontrol, it comes up with the following error: CDbConnection failed to open the DB connection: SQLSTATE[HY000] [2002] Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock' (2)! I suppose I have not uploaded the db. This is the very first time I upload a webapp on a server so I do not know the exact steps that I have to follow in order to upload the db on a server. Cloudcontrol has documentation about mysql! I did follow the steps but the webapp comes with the same error! Could you please tell me what steps I have to follow in order to make it working? I am sure that this error is due to lack of knowledge!

• iPhone - cannot run code on device

  Hi I have some source code which I had developed and later gave to another team. They signed it with their certificate and provisioning profile. Now I have the code back and have set the appropriate values in the project properties for code signing identity (with my cert and profile). But when I run the application on a device, I get an error showing the other team's certificate and prompting that the provisioning profile does not exist. I don't know where it is being referenced. Can someone please help. Thanks.

On the production enviroment this context is mapped to a directory outside tomcat dir using a context configuration <Context path="/userimages" docBase="C:/test/userimages"> </Context> And by this way is available in http://wwww.myhost.com/userimages/test.jpg How I achive the same on the development enviroment of the webapp (eclipse, tomcat7 maven plugin)? In other words I want the contents of that folder to be accessible through http://localhost:8080/userimages or http://localhost:8080/myapp/userimages

  I am trying to create a Validation in a reusable fashion. Purpose: Make the validation control reusable. Error Provider should associate with control passed dynamically and can be set or cleared at run time.   Hi, I am using ASP.NET MVC2 with NHibernate, but am facing an issue. All calls to the database via NHibernate should be inside a transaction, however code inside the view kicks off database calls in some instances. Thus there is a need to be able to commit the transaction after the view has rendered. For example displaying a list of users and their user roles you might show the user role using this code: <%: Model.UserRole.Name % This will cause a hit on the database as the UserRole is loaded using a NHibernate proxy. You can fetch the UserRole eagerly which circumvents the issue in this case, but there are cases where it is much faster to use lazy loading. Anyway, is there a way to run code after a view has rendered?

• TeamCity run Nunit tests in Parallel

  So I was thinking that there must be a better way to run NUnit tests for a .net project via teamcity. Currently the build of the project takes about 10 minutes , and the testing step takes 30ish minutes. I was thinking about splitting up the Nunit tests into 3 groups, assigning them each to a different agent. And then make sure they have a build dependency on the initial build before they start. This was the best way i thought of doing it, Is there a different way I should also consider? On a side note Is it possible to combine all the Nunit tests at the end to get one report from the tests being build on 3 different machines? I dont think this is possible unless someone thought of a clever hack.

Or do I have to write a shell script with a loop?

  I am working in C# and implementing Plugin Management feature to our application. I look through dll and exe to load up plugins that are in a specific folder say Plugins. These plugin applications have their own folder when they are installed and I will copy over the plugin application exe/dll to the Plugins folder. However, there are some plugin applications that requires other dlls to run, but I want to minimize the duplication. Is there a way that I can just copy over the .exe to the Plugins folder and have the other dependent dll files locate in other folder? How would I load the the plugin in c# if the .exe and .dll is not in the same location? Thanks.

  I have used the 2to3 utility to convert code from the command line. What I would like to do is run it basically as a unittest. Even if it tests the file rather than parts(funtions, methods...) as would be normal for a unittest. It does not need to be a unittest and I don't what to automatically convert the files I just want to monitor the py3 compliance of files in a unittest like manor. I can't seem to find any documentation or examples for this. An example and/or documentation would be great. Thanks

So far, i found DBI can only execute one statement at a time, and without the ";" at the end.

This all works fine but I would like to extend the script to update a reporting db (db1) from the backup of the prod db (db2). I have written the following test script but it does not work.   Is it possible to loop through a query so that if (for example) 500,000 rows are found, it'll return results for the first 10,000 and then rerun the query again? So, what I want to do is run a query and build an array, like this: $result = pg_query("SELECT * FROM myTable"); $i = 0; while($row = pg_fetch_array($result) ) { $myArray[$i]['id'] = $row['id']; $myArray[$i]['name'] = $row['name']; $i++; } But, I know that there will be several hundred thousand rows, so I wanted to do it in batches of like 10,000... 1- 9,999 and then 10,000 - 10,999 etc... The reason why is because I keep getting this error: Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 536870912 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 3 bytes) Which, incidentally, I don't understand how 3 bytes could exhaust 512M... So, if that's something that I can just change, that'd be great, although, still might be better to do this in batches?

AND you can use sp_start_job to execute the job immediately, effectively running SSIS packages on demand. Question: does anyone know of any msdb.dbo.[...] stored procedures that simply allow you to run SSIS packages on the fly without using sp_cmdshell directly, or some easier approach?

  I am trying to load oracle webservice client jars to my schema. I did set the PATH to inlcude: /u01/app/oracle/product/10.2.0/db_1/bin When I try to run loadjava as "loadjava -u myschema/myscehmapwd -r -v -f -genmissing dbwsclientws.jar dbwsclientdb102.jar" I am getting error: Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: oracle/aurora/server/tools/loadjava/LoadJavaMain. Does it mean that jvm is not setup on the box? How can I check if the jvm is enabled or not? I am running it on Oracle 10g in UNIX environment. Any help with the issue is greatly appreciated.

  I have a simple python script for fetching tweets and caching them to disk that is configured to run every two minutes via cron. */2 * * * * (date ; /usr/bin/python /path/get_tweets.py) >> /path/log/get_tweets.log 2>&1 The script runs successfully most of the time. However, every so often the script doesn't execute. In addition to other logging, I added a simple print statement above the meat of the script and nothing except the output from the initial date command makes it to the log. #!/usr/bin/python # Script for fetching tweets and then storing them as an HTML snippet for inclusion using SSI print "Starting get_tweets.py" Any ideas? • Application demands elevated privs to run on win7 but not vista

  I have a simple app that I just tried the installer (Innosetup) on win7(32-bit). After I install it the program icon on the desktop gets that shield on it that notifies the user that the app demands elevated privileges. I thought it was something wrong with the installer and made on using NSIS instead, same problem. Does anyone know why it does that on this computer but not on xp-32, win7-64 bit or Vista 64-bit? If I allow the app to run (Answers yes to the system prompt) it crashes with only the error " has encountered an error. Windows is looking for a solution" and then closes.
