  • Timestamp in Tomcat logs is wrong

    For some reason, the timestamp in my Tomcat logs is off. The system clock is correct, and set to PST, but the Tomcat logs appear to be using GMT. I haven't been able to find this setting anywhere...hoping someone can shed some light. Thanks

  • Remote access to Microsoft Dynamics NAV (C/Side) with native non-SQL database

    I am facing a company that have a fairly recent Microsoft Dynamics NAV (C/Side) setup that comes with a non-SQL storage system called the native database server. I would need to be remotely connect to this database, and perform what would equate to SQL queries with very modest needs (no join, no complex filtering). I am rather ignorant of this technology, does someone knows to how make remote queries to this ERP?

  • Many TCP connexions localajaxchat <=> 1e100

    Hi all! I don't get that: as soon as I open a Webpage, whether it's with Firefox or Chrome (I hate so much IE that I didn't test with it), there are tons of TCP connexions between "localajaxchat" and a supposed google ("1e100") domain. I've already read this topic, but my problem seems strange because there are so many TCP connexions for only one page... I don't get it. If someone could explain this problem to me... Thanks a lot!

  • .bat script doesn't work by using window scheduler

    i created a .bat script to perform daily folder compression. it is working fine when i double click the .bat file. However, it doesnt work when i include it in window scheduler. Below is the script: rem **************************** rem ** To create back up file ** rem **************************** "C:\Program Files\WinZip\WINZIP32.EXE" -a -r -p "E:\Backup\Daily\sst.zip" "P:\SST\*.*" When i run it via window scheduler, the status is always "running" but nothing is generated. How the actual domain ownership is transfered to me? What information should I asked for before giving any money to the registrant? Note: the registrar is a well known domain name registrar, accredited by the ICANN and everything.

  • Xcopy batch file behavior

    I have the following backup batch file: xcopy C:\test.txt \server\Data\user\"data test" /e /y /i The issue is why does it not only copy the file listed but proceeds to copy the whole root directory? When i remove the switches it only copies the file. There is nothing in the description of those switches that seems to cause the behavior... They are there because I'm picking up where someone else left and all the batch files use these 3 switches. Thanks

The following ACL entry is active as the first rule that applies: {0}to dn.subtree="ou=some,ou=where,ou=beneath,dc=the,dc=rain,dc=bow" attrs=entry,children by users write Now the strange thing that happens is that given that rule I can add an entry to the respective DN but if I want to modify it with the very same user, then I get 0x32 (LDAP_INSUFFICIENT_ACCESS) Can someone give me a hint what the problem could be?

  • Buffer requests in nginx while a symlink switches on backend

    In a release deployment I would like to buffer client requests that come to nginx(in reverse proxy) mode to be buffered for possibily 1-2 seconds while a pdsh request is sent to switch symlinks on the back end server to /var/www/html/current . After the switch is complete, I would want to release the buffering while avoiding a herd clash. Is this possible in nginx? Can someone help? Edit: The idea is not to loose requests and from nginx forums I've come to know that retries can sometimes results in CPU spins

    I just recently installed eaccelerator and switched php to dso everything was fine on server Server load was about 1-2 (4 cpus) and after some time server got overloaded (Server load increased to 250) and server stopped. In suphp mode server was overloading by traffic so i decided to switch it to eaccelerator and now i am lost... Can someone explain that?

    i have a text file where each line looks like this: <img border=0 width=555 height=555 src=http://websitelinkimagelinkhere> each line is like that for like 1500 lines, i want to sort of 'grep' (i dont think that will work because it returns the whole line) each line for 'http://websiteimagelinkhere' output file should have newlines or tabs after each image link, like the original file. or if someone only knows a way to do this with each element being in a cell of the same column that would be okay too.

  • Opening Python in CMD (Unfixable Error)

    I recently tried opening one of my Python projects with CMD to see what would happen. The result did nothing amazing, but Windows 7 thought I wanted to open .py files in CMD all the time. I have tried everything, setting it back to python.exe does not work, I even went to Control Panel to see if it could help, but Control Panel couldn't help either.     If I make a VPN connection to a server (say myvpn.com; assume this server is not behind any router/firewall) via a TUN device and open a port (say 5555), will someone else be able to connect to me via myvpn.com:5555? If not, is there a tunneling software that does exactly this in a transparent manner? i.e. run any TCP/UDP-based server instance behind a router without NAT using another remote server.

  • Alienware m15x (older model) BSOD investigation

    A frined of mine asked me to help him with an Alienware m15x laptop that had a little service history. It was bought in june 2008, serviced in january 2009 for a random fps drop problem, Alienware returned it saying nothing was wrong. The laptop still had hiccups, but after juggling a few drivers and settings, the fps drops weren't as noticeable. Eventually it died in Sept. 2009. It would not boot up locking itself on a white/gray screen. (i think it was overheating .. clocking in 100 degrees Celsius). So back to Alienware it went. They replaced the GPU and all was fine. Up until these blue screens started showing up. One other thing that was updated was the HDD and a Windows 7 reinstall, in August. From then on it seems to have started its BSOD. Could this be the culprit? Why? 0_o The original Windows was Vista but it was upgraded with a digital download/purchase of Windows 7 Home Premium and activated after installing windows. No errors on the old HDD, just on the latest installation. LE:Due note that now the old HDD is used to see if issues re-occur. So please, I am in need of someone who can interpret these windows dump files: Minidump I may have come to some conflicting conclusions. So if someone can clarify each dump/date and the probable cause/error it had; and a final conclusion or solution, we would be very grateful.
