  • Sparxsystems Enterprise Architect and issuses/tasks tracking system?

    - by peperg
We (developement team 4 upto 7 people) use Sparxsystems EA for requirement analysis, modeling etc. Do you know any well-working methods to use EA and some task/issue tracking system like Redmine/Mantis/Trac ? The problem is not to duplicate functionality (there are issues/tasks/changes in Redmine and EA) but to have some user friendly interface (preffered web) to manage tasks and issues. By user-friendly I mean "my tasks" page add effort / time tracking easy "add issue" by everyone (simple bug tracking system) mail notifications

  • How to implement HMVC using Kohana's cascading file system

    - by Yarin
Kohana 3.2 was designed to support the HMVC design pattern. The HMVC pattern consists of nested MVC-triads. Yet as far as I can tell, Kohana's cascading file system requires all Models and Controllers to be placed within a top 'classes' directory, and Views into a top 'views' directory. If Model/Controllers are thus separated from Views at the top level of the file system, then how are we supposed to implement nested MVC-triads?

  • Blog: How does Lifehacker implement their comment system?

    - by NickT
I really like how Lifehacker.com (and Gawker.com) implements their comment system. I believe, but am not certain, they use Movable Type as the platform for their blog. What I like about their comment system is that it's a simple open text field and once you click "Share" it then asks you to register. Question: Anyone know how to accomplish this same functionality with either Wordpress or Movable Type?

Hi, I have some dependencies which I am providing myself. The jars are in the resources directory. In my pom they are scoped as system and I include the path to them. However, when I jar things up using the assembly plugin and use <addClasspath>true</addClasspath> It doesn't add the path of the system jars. How can I get them to be included automatically? Thanks

  • Quickly create large file on a windows system?

    - by Leigh Riffel
In the same vein as http://stackoverflow.com/questions/257844/quickly-create-a-large-file-on-a-linux-system I'd like to quickly create a large file on a windows system. By large I'm thinking 5GB. The content doesn't matter. A built in command or short batch file would be preferable, but I'll accept an application if there are no other easy ways.

  • No value given for one or more required parameters in connection initialisation

    - by DarkJaff
Hi everyone, I have an C# form application that use an access database. This application works perfectly in debug and release. It works on all version of Windows. But it crash on one computer with Windows 7. The message I got is: System.Data.OleDb.OleDbException: No value given for one or more required parameters. The function that is supposely not working is this: public void InitConnection(string strFile) { string strConnection = String.Format("Provider=Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0;Data Source={0};User Id=admin;Password=;", strFile); m_conn = new OleDbConnection(strConnection); try { //On vérifie si la connexion n'est pas ouverte if (m_conn.State != ConnectionState.Open) { m_conn.Open(); m_VCoeffModele = GetModeleCoeff(); } } catch (Exception err) { throw err; } } I think it's something related to the connection string but why only on that computer. Thanks for your help!
