    I have this application, that have a listView, and when I click in a item on listView, it opens a new activity. That works fine!     I would like to load all objects that have a textual tag set to any of a small but arbitrary number of values from our database. The logical way to go about this in SQL would be to build an "IN" clause. JPQL allows for IN, but it seems to require me to specify every single parameter to IN directly (as in, "in (:in1, :in2, :in3)"). Is there some way to specify an array, or a list (or some other container) that should be unrolled to the values of an IN clause?

    Hi Guys, I'm constructing a geolocation based application and I'm trying to figure out a way to make my application realise when a user is facing the direction of the given location (a particular long / lat co-ord). I've got the math figured, I just have the triangle to construct. //UPDATE So I've figured out a good bit of this... Below is a method which takes in a long / lat value and attempts to compute a triangle finding a point 700 meters away and one to its left + right. It'd then use these to construct the triangle. It computes the correct longitude but the latitude ends up somewhere off the coast of east Africa.     I'm having issues to extract inline images that are pasted in the email body if the emails are sent from external email(like gmail for example) into the Lotus notes. The emails which are sent from Lotus Notes itself has no issues and I'm able to retrieve the inline images by using the document.generateXML() method and parsing through ['picture' xml element tag] the stream. I have tried using: JSONArray jArray = new JSONArray(); while(itr.hasNext()){ int objId = itr.next(); jArray.put(objId, odao.getObjectName(objId)); } results = jArray.toString(); Note: odao.getObjectName(objId) retrieves a name based on the "object Id" which is called objId However I get a very funny looking array like [null,null,null,"SomeValue",null,null,null,null,null,null,null,null,null,null,null,null,null,null,null,"AnotherValue",null,null,null,null,null,null,null,null,null,null,"SomethingElse","AnotherOne","LastOne"] With only "LastOne" being displayed when I retrieve it using jQuery. The Array SHould look like {["3":"SomeValue"],["40":"AnotherValue"],["23":"SomethingElse"],["9":"AnotherOne"],["1":"LastOne"]} The numbers aren't showing up at all for some reason in the array that I am getting

    I am getting the following error trying to read from a socket. I'm doing a readInt() on that InputStream, and I am getting this error. Perusing the documentation this suggests that the client part of the connection closed the connection. In this scenario, I am the server. I have access to the client log files and it is not closing the connection, and in fact its log files suggest I am closing the connection. So does anybody have an idea why this is happening? What else to check for? Does this arise when there are local resources that are perhaps reaching thresholds? Many thanks, Darryl

    i have this page displaying statement every 2 second (using javascript), at the end of it there is a link which the user can click. with IE it will click the link before javascript generated statement is completed. when i use Link.Click() (with Firefox it will throw exception, which is fine with me) is there a way to wait for javascript execution to complete before link gets clicked (IE)?   • Java NIO (Netty): How does Encryption or GZIPping work in theory (with filters)

    Hello Experts, i would be very thankfull if you can explain to me, how in theory the "Interceptor/Filter" Pattern in ByteStreams (over Sockets/Channels) work (in Asynchronous IO with netty) in regard to encryption or compression of data. Given I have a Filter that does GZIPPING. How is this internally implemented? Does the Filter "collect" so many bytes form the channel, that this is a usefull number of bytes that can then be en/decoded? What is in general the minimal "blocksize(data to encode/decode in a chunk)" of socket based gzipping? Does this "blocksize" have to be negotiated in advance between server and client? What happens if the client does not send enough data to "fill" the blocksize (due to a network conquestion) but does not close the connection. Does this mean the other side will simply wait until it gets enough bytes to decode or until a timeout occoures...How is the Filter pattern the applied? The compression filter will de/compress the blocksize of bytes and then store them again in the same buffer would (in the case of netty) i normally be using the ChannelHanlderContext to pass the de/encoded data to the next filter?... Any explanations/links/tutorials (for beginners;-) will be very much appreciated to help me understand how for example encryption/compressing are implemented in socket based communication with filters/interceptor pattern. thank you very much tom
