  • Using Yii framework, what would be a right way to process an attribute before displaying it using CH

    Say I have this line of code in the view. <?php echo CHtml::activeTextField($model,'start_time'); ?> start_time is a UNIX timestamp. When just displaying it in a view I can apply functions like date() on it. Where should I apply the formatting when I'm displaying it in a form, by using the above line of code? (This case of timestamps/dates might be special, but I'm also interested in how would one go about if it wasn't a date and I just want to work with "value in database" < "different representations of the value in different views. Thanks =)

    I'm newbie and I must save "Ranking" and "Level" of user.     Hi, Say you have a Client Buying Card object and a product object. When the client chooses the buy opition you create the object and then add a product. It should be transactional but it's not on the same entity group as the product and the card already been persisted, isn't it?     I'm looking to setup a custom route which supplies implicit parameter names to a Zend_Application. Essentially, I have an incoming URL which looks like this: /StandardSystems/Dell/LatitudeE6500 I'd like that to be mapped to the StandardsystemsController, and I'd like that controller to be passed parameters "make" => "Dell" and "model" => "LatitudeE6500". How can I setup such a system using Zend_Application and Zend_Controller_Router?

    I am using captcha in Zend. But When I render captcha element in view, it shows image, an field for enter text and also another field with a string in it. I want hide this text field with a string. I used galleria a while back, and I need a similar product now.   • org.hibernate.annotations.Entity not being picked up by Hibernate 3.6

    I am using hibernate 3.6.7 I am using annotated classes. My classes were annotated with org.hibernate.annotations.Entity. Added the classes to configuration using configuration.addAnnotatedClass() method. Hibernate does not seem to pick it up. Stuff works fine if I use the standard jpa Entity annotation. What am I missing? I know that the classes have been deprecated in the Hibernate 4.x releases with the advent of newer annotations to configure stuff like dynamic-insert and dynamic-updates. I am not using any XML configuration file. I am setting up configuration with a properties file and using java apis.

    I guess these are all questions that everyone must just know, because I'm not seeing this in the documentation :-D I understand that the public folder is the folder that the world has access to. I know it is the case with the css folder, but in migrating a traditional php website over, will my /images folder, /js folder /mp3s, etc Will those all just also be public folders that will be accessed via the layout or view.phtml pages? Thanks!

  • PHP / Zend Framework: Force prepend table name to column name in result array?

    I am using Zend_Db_Select currently to retrieve hierarchical data from several joined tables. I need to be able to convert this easily into an array. Short of using a switch statement and listing out all the columns individually in order to sort the data, my thought was that if I could get the table names auto-prepended to the keys in the result array, that would solve my problem. So considering the following (assembled) SQL: SELECT user.*, contact.* FROM user INNER JOIN contact ON contact.user_id = user.user_id I would normally get a result array like this: [username] => 'bob', [contact_id] => 5, [user_id] => 2, [firstname] => 'bob', [lastname] => 'larsen' But instead I want this: [user.user_id] => 2, [user.username] => 'bob', [contact.contact_id] => 5, [contact.firstname] => 'bob', [contact.lastname] => 'larsen' Does anyone have an idea how to achieve this?   • iPhone - finding items in current entity that share related item

    G'day Folks My core data driven app has an Events entity, essentially a list of times & venues, with a related Acts entity, the names & bios of the acts appearing at those events. I have a table view that shows the event time & venue (as a table section with 1 row), the act name & act bio that works nicely. If that act is appearing at more than one event I'd like to include another table section that lists those events. I think could get that with event.act.events except that it would include the event I'm currently displaying. Can anyone suggest how to get the data I want & exclude the current record? Cheers & TIA, Pedro :) PS... I have not quite 18 hours until the promised time for a prototype of my app to be available for some testers to download.

    I'm reading the manual here: http://zendframework.com/manual/en/zend.view.helpers.html but I'm still confused. I have a script in my head that I'm converting to the layout/view for the Zend MVC: <script type="text/javascript"> var embedCode = '<object data="http://example.com" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" height="385" width="475"><param name="src" value="http://example.com" /><param name="allowfullscreen" value="true" /></object>' </script> I first tried to add it is an external file like this (in layout): $this->headScript()->appendFile('js/embeddedVideo.js')->appendScript($onloadScript); <head> <?php echo $this->headScript(); ?> </head> Didn't really work, but anyway, I'm wanting to just add the script and not add it as an external file. I'm looking for Redistributable to our enterprise customers. We control the hardware so it doesn't have to work perfectly on every device. Display strings and numbers in columns with headings. Scrollable, but no paging. Don't row editing. Need to add and delete rows. User re-sizable column widths, and a way to persist that. Work with .NET CF 2.0 or 3.5 on Windows CE 6.0 Any suggestions on grids or toolkits?

    I have created demo app using Ionic with Worklight and it worked on Android but got error on IOS, when i used mobile browser simulator and debugged on IOS environment, i got the folowing error message: Uncaught InvalidCharacterError: Failed to execute 'add' on 'DOMTokenList': The token provided ('platform-ios - iphone') contains HTML space characters, which are not valid in tokens.     It should sound workaround or something like, but I'll tell you what: I chose to have a separated "project" with every library I could use. It's like a global library which I included Zend library, Doctrine ORM, JQuery, Blueprint CSS, etc. Then I set the include path. Nothing wrong. The problem is: I'd like to have also a global bootstrap class inside the library folder and an individual bootstrap class on each project I create for individual use. I don't know how to set more than 1 bootstrap class. Is it possible?

  • Entity data field validation and part data submission

    I have an entity class that has 10 fields. I am using MS Validation Application block to mark all fields as mandatory (IsRequired). I am implementing a securiy feature in which during updation of the data, not all the fields in the entity class will have data. For example a few users can only view 5 fileds while others all 10 fields during updation on GUI I have the following options 1) Bring all the data for all the fields from the DB table and hide the ones not accessible to the users in GUI. I am concerned about the performance because everytime GUI will pull unncessary data. 2) Bring the data (e.g. only 5 fields) that are permissible for access/view by the user on GUI. During submit, validation block will throw exception because all fields are marked as IsRequired and only data for 5 fields are sent back to the server. I want to know if there are any other good approaches to solve problems like this. I am using .NET 3.5 Thanks.
