  Hi, I know that nested functions are not part of the standard C, but since they're present in gcc (and the fact that gcc is the only compiler i care about), i tend to use them quite often. Is this a bad thing ? If so, could you show me some nasty examples ? What's the status of nested functions in gcc ? Are they going to be removed ? thanks

  I've seen quite a few examples of MVVM. I can see that the View should reference the ViewModel. I've seen recently an example of a ViewModel referencing a View, which seems wrong to me, as it would result in tighter coupling. Given that ViewModel is often described as an intermediary between the View and the Model, is there more to the ViewModel than a facade to domain objects? I hope I used the term "facade" correctly here.

  I guess it is not possible to set stroke property such as CSS which is quite easy. With CSS we have dashed, dotted, solid but on canvas when drawing lines/or strokes this doesn't seem to be an option. How have you implemented this? Using the browser's developer tools you can see that both boxes have an inherited z-index: auto; I can't reproduce this effect on my website (without using z-index). So, my question is: Why is the gray block under the white one?

  What I would like to do is pretty simple. Given textboxes for ItemPrice, Tax and Total, I need the text value for Total to be bound to ItemPrice + Tax and the Tax value to display ItemPrice * taxRate. Could someone offer a brief explanation as to how this would be accomplished or point me to an appropriate example? I see property binding examples all over the place, but none that show binding to a calculation of the properties of two controls.
