    I am writing a java servlet (struts/JSP etc). I am trying to style a progress bar using CSS in a JSP page but get this error when using chrome's developer tools: Resource interpreted as image but transferred with MIME type text/plain. <%@ include file="../include/css/default.css" % And in the CSS file: background:url(../images/bg_bar.gif) no-repeat 0 0; Could anyone explain why this is and show how I can use this CSS in my page?

  • ios App Disclaimer

    - by Max
    I am writing an application for iPhone and had some questions regarding eula :- If I do not include any disclaimer/ eula in my app, then would Apple's standard EULA http://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/appstore/dev/stdeula/ automatically apply to my app ? If I include a small disclaimer inside my application (as a popup on initial screen), then would Apple's EULA still cover my app ? I tried downloading few apps on my ipad and did not see Apple's standard EULA. So, where can I actually see the EULA before downloading something ?

  • How to build a test suite in watir?

    - by karlthorwald
    I have some single watir.rb scripts that use IE and are written in a standard watir way. How do I create a test suite that combines them? Is it possible to enumerate the files that should be included in the test suite? Is it possible to auto include single test files into a test suite by subidr? Can I cascade (include other watir suites in watir suites)?

  • what is the wrong with this code"length indicator implementation" ?

    - by cj
    Hello, this is an implementation of length indicator field but it hang and i think stuck at a loop and don't show any thing. // readx22.cpp : Defines the entry point for the console application. // #include "stdafx.h" #include "iostream" #include "fstream" #include "stdio.h" using namespace std; class Student { public: string id; size_t id_len; string first_name; size_t first_len; string last_name; size_t last_len; string phone; size_t phone_len; string grade; size_t grade_len; void read(fstream &ven); void print(); }; void Student::read(fstream &ven) { size_t cnt; ven >> cnt; id_len=cnt; id.reserve( cnt ); while ( -- cnt ) { id.push_back( ven.get() ); } ven >> cnt; first_len=cnt; first_name.reserve( cnt ); while ( -- cnt ) { first_name.push_back( ven.get() ); } ven >> cnt; last_len=cnt; last_name.reserve( cnt ); while ( -- cnt ) { last_name.push_back( ven.get() ); } ven >> cnt; phone_len=cnt; phone.reserve( cnt ); while ( -- cnt ) { phone.push_back( ven.get() ); } ven >> cnt; grade_len=cnt; grade.reserve( cnt ); while ( -- cnt ) { grade.push_back( ven.get() ); } } void Student::print() { // string::iterator it; for ( int i=0 ; i<id_len; i++) cout << id[i]; } int main() { fstream in; in.open ("fee.txt", fstream::in); Student x; x.read(in); x.print(); return 0; } thanks

  • How can I tell if a <script> tag with a given src attribute is present on the page in ASP.net?

    - by Chris McCall
    Like the title says, I'm trying to find out if I need to include a script library that my ASP.net UserControl needs to work. I don't want to include it multiple times per page, but I want my control to be able to be used multiple times on the same page. How can I, in the codebehind of my control, check to see if a given <script/> tag is present? This is .Net 2.0, no LINQ.

  • boost::regex_replace() replaces only first occurrence, why?

    - by Vincenzo
    My code: #include <string> #include <boost/algorithm/string/regex.hpp> std::cout << boost::algorithm::replace_regex_copy( "{x}{y}", // source string boost::regex("\\{.*?\\}"), // what to find std::string("{...}") // what to replace to ); This is what I see: {…}{y} Thus, only the first occurrence replaced. Why? How to solve it?

  • What can you do in C without "std" includes? Are they part of "C," or just libraries?

    - by Chris Cooper
    I apologize if this is a subjective or repeated question. It's sort of awkward to search for, so I wasn't sure what terms to include. What I'd like to know is what the basic foundation tools/functions are in C when you don't include standard libraries like stdio and stdlib. What could I do if there's no printf(), fopen(), etc? Also, are those libraries technically part of the "C" language, or are they just very useful and effectively essential libraries?

  • Return statements for all functions

    - by emddudley
    How common is it for coding style guidelines to include a requirement that all functions include a return statement (including functions which return void)? To avoid being subjective or argumentative, I'd like answers which can name specific companies or open-source projects which have this requirement. If you haven't ever come across this coding style guideline, or you have a resource (book, online article) which discusses it, that would be useful as well. Thanks!

  • getopt implicit declaration in Solaris?

    - by Steven
    In Solaris, gcc gives me implicit declaration of function `getopt' when compiling #include <unistd.h> #include <stdlib.h> int main(int argc, char *argv[]) { getopt(1,argv,""); return 0; } The man page for getopt says something about including unistd.h or stdio.h, however even though I'm inluding both I still get this warning. Is this normal? Is using functions that aren't explicitly declared common in Unix development?

    Hi My zend framework render function returns: Warning: include(C:\wamp\www\cms\application\modules\default\views\scripts) [function.include]: failed to open stream: Permission denied... It's being called in a postDispatch function on the controller, but that doesn't matter as no matter where i put it, it fails. Any ideas? My view and layout are started in the bootstrap. Thanks

  • C++ vector of strings, pointers to functions, and the resulting frustration.

    - by Kyle
    So I am a first year computer science student, for on of my final projects, I need to write a program that takes a vector of strings, and applies various functions to these. Unfortunately, I am really confused on how to use pointer to pass the vector from function to function. Below is some sample code to give an idea of what I am talking about. I also get an error message when I try to deference any pointer. thanks. #include <iostream> #include <cstdlib> #include <vector> #include <string> using namespace std; vector<string>::pointer function_1(vector<string>::pointer ptr); void function_2(vector<string>::pointer ptr); int main() { vector<string>::pointer ptr; vector<string> svector; ptr = &svector[0]; function_1(ptr); function_2(ptr); } vector<string>::pointer function_1(vector<string>::pointer ptr) { string line; for(int i = 0; i < 10; i++) { cout << "enter some input ! \n"; // i need to be able to pass a reference of the vector getline(cin, line); // through various functions, and have the results *ptr.pushback(line); // reflectedin main(). But I cannot use member functions } // of vector with a deferenced pointer. return(ptr); } void function_2(vector<string>::pointer ptr) { for(int i = 0; i < 10; i++) { cout << *ptr[i] << endl; } }

  • General question about Ruby Eigenclass/Singleton

    - by Dex
    module MyModule def my_method; 'hello'; end end class MyClass class << self include MyModule end end MyClass.my_method # => "hello I'm unsure why "include MyModule" needs to be in the eigenclass in order to be called using just MyClass. Why can't I go: X = MyClass.new X.my_method How is this type of pattern useful if I can't call it from an instance?

  • Tokenizing a string with variable whitespace

    - by Ron Holcomb
    I've read through a few threads detailing how to tokenize strings, but I'm apparently too thick to adapt their suggestions and solutions into my program. What I'm attempting to do is tokenize each line from a large (5k+) line file into two strings. Here's a sample of the lines: 0 -0.11639404 9.0702948e-05 0.00012207031 0.0001814059 0.051849365 0.00027210884 0.062103271 0.00036281179 0.034423828 0.00045351474 0.035125732 The difference I'm finding between my lines and the other sample input from other threads is that I have a variable amount of whitespace between the parts that I want to tokenize. Anyways, here's my attempt at tokenizing: #include <iostream> #include <iomanip> #include <fstream> #include <string> using namespace std; int main(int argc, char *argv[]) { ifstream input; ofstream output; string temp2; string temp3; input.open(argv[1]); output.open(argv[2]); if (input.is_open()) { while (!input.eof()) { getline(input, temp2, ' '); while (!isspace(temp2[0])) getline(input, temp2, ' '); getline (input, temp3, '\n'); } input.close(); cout << temp2 << endl; cout << temp3 << endl; return 0; } I've clipped it some, since the troublesome bits are here. The issue that I'm having is that temp2 never seems to catch a value. Ideally, it should get populated with the first column of numbers, but it doesn't. Instead, it is blank, and temp3 is populated with the entire line. Unfortunately, in my course we haven't learned about vectors, so I'm not quite sure how to implement them in the other solutions for this I've seen, and I'd like to not just copy-paste code for assignments to get things work without actually understanding it. So, what's the extremely obvious/already been answered/simple solution I'm missing? I'd like to stick to standard libraries that g++ uses if at all possible.

  • Working with wchar in C

    - by Richard Mar.
    I have this code: #include <stdio.h> #include <wchar.h> int main() { wchar_t *foo = L"ðh"; wprintf(L"[%ls]\n", foo); return 0; } And when I compile it, it gives me the implicit declaration of function ‘wprintf’ warning. I know that I should link the wchar library during compilation, but how do I do that?
