    I'm trying to merge two docx-documents into one docx-document using OpenXML SDK 2.0. The documents should be merged without loosing their styling and custom headers and footers. I hope I can achieve this using AltChunk and a section break. But I can't get it working. Is it possible what I'm trying to do? Can someone give me a hint how to achieve this?

For example, if "navigation 1" was "this is the first item in the navigation", How do I make the width of the whole dropdown wider automatically, but without affecting the size of the navigation button which causes the dropdown the dropdown when mouseover'ed? Basically, I don't want to text to wrap in the dropdown, but at the same time, I don't want to button for the dropdown to go wider.

    Hello, I have a section of code that uploads an image: [activity startAnimating]; [self uploadImage:img Session_id:appDelegate.sessionID PlaceID:place.placeID Comment:comment.text]; [activity stopAnimating]; I am sure that activity is wired up correctly to a UIActivityViewIndicator, but it never shows. Inside the uploadImage function, I open a connection to the server and start the upload. Does anyone have an example or possible explanation as to why the activity view would not display?

Normally, I would change the type but, the problem is that most of the array is numbers, although the particular section should be printed as ASCII.

    The old, C style cvMat matrices could be passed to the cvSave() function for easy writing to an XML file. The new C++ style cv::Mat and cv::Mat_ matrices are not accepted by this function. The OpenCV reference has a section on XML persistence, but the three classes (FileStorage, FileNode and FileNodeIterator) lack any description or example and I can't figure out how to use them from the interface. I've tried setting the defaultUrl in the forms section of web.config to "~/Common/Home/Index" with no success. I've also tried mapping a new route in global.asax, thus: routes.MapRoute( "Area", "{area}/{controller}/{action}/{id}", new { area = "Common", controller = "Home", action = "Index", id = "" } ); Again, to no avail.

  • Learn C# now or finish up with Java and then learn C#?

    Ok here is my situation. I've studied Java in my college for 2 semesters. But you know they teach you jack in there, just the basics. We skipped half of our textbook and even then our professors don't teach from section to section of each chapter. I don't blame them. It's hard as it is for new students to understand even the basic concepts of programming. Now this is a community college we are talking about and not Stanford, MIT or Berkeley. So like I said I've done 2 semester of Java. I really like our textbook because it has some challenging projects to do at the end of each chapter. This textbook is pretty clear and i have no problem understanding it (although 2-D and 3-D Arrays have given me some trouble). I have tried reading a few C# books such as Pro C# 2008 and .NET 3.5 and C# 4.0 in a Nutshell. I found these books to be dry and overloaded with information that put me to sleep (No offense to the authors of those 2 wonderful, according to amazon ratings, books). Would you suggest I finish my Java textbook, brush up my knowledge of Arrays, Polymorphism, and etc that are universal to most programming languages. And then switch to C#, plus the syntax is very similar so it should be easy to switch. Or should I just start learning C# right now from the very beginning? If it's the latter then could you recommend some free online resources that will keep me engaged and at the same time teach me everything I need to know about C#. Someone has recommended me to learn .NET first, but I found it to be not the brightest idea. .NET is just a big monster full of libraries. How am I going to apply it if I don't even know the C# or VB!? Anyway back to my question: Master Java and switch to C# or just go with C#? DISCLAIMER: I don't want to start .NET vs J2EE or C# vs Java flame war. I am going with C#. I've decided that I want to work in a Microsoft shop in the future. .NET is what I want to learn. Thanks! Will be waiting for the answers.

    Excel sheet is subtitled but need now to do a count of the items in each grouping so need to find subtilted rows by using a macro and count the number of items in each grouped section (column a) placing the count value in the relevant subtitled row in Column A. no idea where to start can anyone help. This allows me to create classes like this: public abstract class A { public void Main() { // it's full of logic! } } This is really a concrete class; it's only abstract in so far as one can't instantiate it. If inheritors don't actually have to provide implementation, then why call it abstract?

    Hi, I'm running through the Ruby on Rails tutorial at http://guides.rubyonrails.org/getting_started.html (adjusting where appropriate for Google's App Engine). All is well up till section 6.3: when I try to click "New Post", I get the following error: Internal Server Error (500) Request Method: GET Request URL: http://localhost:8080/500.html access denied (java.io.FilePermission /dev/urandom read) It works fine when I upload the application to Google's App Engine; it's just on my development machine (OS X 10.6) that it doesn't work.
