How to check if new version of Chrome is available?

I am trying to build an extension that would notify a user when new version of Chrome is available. I tried to inspect network traffic when Chrome is checking for an update and it is sending a request to http://74.125.95.113/service/update2?w=3:{long_encoded_string} page that returns XML with information I need: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <gupdate xmlns="http://www.google.com/update2/response" protocol="2.0" server="prod"> <daystart elapsed_seconds="31272"/> <app appid="{8A69D345-D564-463C-AFF1-A69D9E530F96}" status="ok"> <updatecheck status="noupdate"/> <ping status="ok"/> </app> </gupdate> Besides sending {long_encoded_string} as URL parameter it is also sending some encoded cookie. Maybe someone familiar with Chrome build process can shed some light on those encoded strings and how to build them? Maybe there is another easier way (I have a feeling that string encoding is a dead end for me)?

Invoke Command When "ENTER" Key Is Pressed In XAML

I want to invoke a command when ENTER is pressed in a TextBox. Consider the following XAML: <UserControl ... xmlns:i="clr-namespace:System.Windows.Interactivity;assembly=System.Windows.Interactivity" ...> ... <TextBox> <i:Interaction.Triggers> <i:EventTrigger EventName="KeyUp"> <i:InvokeCommandAction Command="{Binding MyCommand}" CommandParameter="{Binding Text}" /> </i:EventTrigger> </i:Interaction.Triggers> </TextBox> ... </UserControl> and that MyCommand is as follows: public ICommand MyCommand { get { return new DelegateCommand<string>(MyCommandExecute); } } private void MyCommandExecute(string s) { ... } With the above, my command is invoked for every key press. How can I restrict the command to only invoke when the ENTER key is pressed? I understand that with Expression Blend I can use Conditions but those seem to be restricted to elements and can't consider event arguments. I have also come across SLEX which offers its own InvokeCommandAction implementation that is built on top of the Systems.Windows.Interactivity implementation and can do what I need. Another consideration is to write my own trigger, but I'm hoping there's a way to do it without using external toolkits.

ajax call success function never called

nextSibling difference between IE and FF?

Hi fellows, I just wrote a javascript code for layering in raphaeljs it works perfectly on FF. But it doesn't on IE. The problem is IE returns null for nextSibling for any object. How does one use it correctly, or is there a nextElementSibling call in IE? TableLayout formatting loss after device rotation

I'm seeing a strange issue with a TableLayout after the device is rotated from either orientation. If you load the view in either portrait or landscape mode, the table loads fine. But once you rotate the device, the columns collapse to just fit their width. I would expect that after rotation, the columns would still stretch to fit the width of the screen. Any ideas on what can be done to resolve this? Screenies and layout code below. OnClickListener onClick=true and selector

I have not found any answer for my problem, so I need your help ... I have an LinearLayout which I want to be clickable in order to lunch another activity. So I implement an onClickListener to it. I created an selector for this LinearLayout in order that what someone click on it, the background change. I just don't understand that : If my LinearLayout doesn't have android:clickable="true" in the xml, I'm able to click on it and get what I want but the selector doesn't work. If I remove this line, it is the opposite .. the selector work but not the onClick event. So, can anyone can explain me why ? Java SOAP - Need help on Body and ChildElement manipulation

Hi guys I'm trying to write some code in java to learn more about coding with WSDL and SOAP. I've been able to build up a BodyElement for a given namespace. But when i come to adding the childElements I'm runnig intp problems. For example given :'<'to:checkAccount xmlns:to="http://foo" '<'to:id test' <'/to:id '<'to:password test '<'/to:password '<'to:checkAccount " I'm able to set the bodyElement(to:checkAccount), but when i try to add the childElements (to:id, to:password) , the childElement needs to have the "to" prefix otherwise it won't work. ie. sf = SOAPFactory.newInstance(); Name childName = sf.createName("id"); SOAPElement symbol = bodyElement.addChildElement(childName); this doesn't work since it doesn't have the "to" prefix to id and password. I cannot do Name childName = sf.createName("id","to",null); as it gives me an error saying wrong namespace... can someone tell me how i can add to:id and to:password to to:checkAccount ?

In other words, my page is setup in ~/subdir, I don't have access to ~/, and I am not an IIS admin. Can I reference a private assembly? How would I do this? I've tried <%@ Assembly Src="/subdir/bin/Assembly.dll % and <%@ Assembly Src="/subdir/bin/Assembly.dll % , but I get the messages "There is no build provider to match the extension .dll" or "Failed to map to path" respectively. Here is my folder structure: / | -subdir | | - Bin | | | *Assembly.dll | | *Default.aspx I've heard that in web.config might do the trick, but when I've tried it, it doesn't seem to work. Furthermore, I've read that only works in the application .config file. (i.e., the one in ~/). CSS3 Border Radius property doesn't work in localhost?

My following CSS and html works fine with IE9 if i double click the file and open with the IE9 , however if the border property does not work in IE if i open the file through LOCALHOST (xampp insatlled on windows 7). The same file works fine on localhost with other browsers. I like to display textView when there are no items in the listView whereas the textView will not display when there are items in the listView. My problem is even there are items in the listView, the textView still will be displayed in a short time and then load the items into listView. I have a list view and want to put stuff both above(on the y axis) and below(y axis) it including images, text views, and a row of buttons. Below is a simplified version of what I am creating. SimpleTest assertTags - loose matching? (for CakePHP)

I'd like to use SimpleTest to set up some functionality tests for our project - in particular, we have a very busy page which has some random components and some static components, and I'd like to be able to write a simple test which only confirms the static bits (preferably only the one or two most important ones). In other words, I want to be able to leave out any tags on the page I don't care about, and write something like: $result = "<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" xml:lang="en" lang="en"><head><title>...</title><meta .../></head><body><script type="text/javascript">...</script><div class="center-splash"><span>Welcome JohnDoe</span><p>Your progress:</p>...</div><div class="left-column">...</div><div class="right-column">...</div>...</body></html>"; $expects = array('html'=>true,'body'=>true,'div'=>array('class'=>'center_splash'),'span'=>true,'Welcome JohnDoe','/span','/div','/body','/html'); $this->assertTagsButIgnoreExtras($result, $expects); When I try this with assertTags it fails. Is there a version of assertTags which allows this - something either officially part of the SimpleTest or CakePHP project or unofficially put out under the MIT license or similar?
