  • SVN - Get all commit messages for a file?

    - by davidosomething
Is there a way to get a nice list of all commit messages sorted by file? Something like this (as you can see, I don't want the messages specific to a certain file, just show messages for the entire commit if the file was part of the commit, repeats ok): -- index.php 2010-01-02 03:04:05 * added new paragraph 2010-01-01 03:04:05 * moved header out of index.php into header.php * header.php initial check-in 2009-12-31 03:04:05 * index.php initial check-in -- header.php 2010-01-03 03:04:05 * added new meta tags 2010-01-01 03:04:05 * moved header out of index.php into header.php * header.php initial check-in Additional information: svn log filename does something similar, but I want it to do this: get a list of files that have changed between yyyy-mm-dd (r2) and yyyy-mm-dd (r4) (i.e. svn log -q -v -r 2:4 changedfiles.txt strip extraneous crap from changedfiles.txt svn log each file in that list, as in: svn log < changedfiles.txt combinedlog.txt (just pseudocode, i know svn log takes arguments not input, but can't be bothered to write it out)

  • CodedUI null reference exception even when object exists

    - by Roee
Hi, I have created a coded ui test that checks something in my software. It worked fine, but now I keep getting null reference exception when I try to interact with the UITestControl. The starnge thing is, that the UITestControl's 'Exist' property returns true, which means that the control had been found. I've searched and found this topic: http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en/vsautotest/thread/c2e6e5c3-2503-4506-9963-733fd84fbd25, But I have checked in my project, and the 'Copy Local' propert of these assemblies is set to false. I think that this execption first occurred after I have added an app.config file to my project. Maybe this might be the problem? If so, how can I fix this without deleting my app.config file? Thanks!

  • Hibernate Lazy init exception in spring scheduled job

    - by Noam Nevo
I have a spring scheduled job (@Scheduled) that sends emails from my system according to a list of recipients in the DB. This method is annotated with the @Scheduled annotation and it invokes a method from another interface, the method in the interface is annotated with the @Transactional annotation. Now, when i invoke the scheduled method manually, it works perfectly. But when the method is invoked by spring scheduler i get the LazyInitFailed exception in the method implementing the said interface. What am I doing wrong? code: The scheduled method: @Component public class ScheduledReportsSender { public static final int MAX_RETIRES = 3; public static final long HALF_HOUR = 1000 * 60 * 30; @Autowired IScheduledReportDAO scheduledReportDAO; @Autowired IDataService dataService; @Autowired IErrorService errorService; @Scheduled(cron = "0 0 3 ? * *") // every day at 2:10AM public void runDailyReports() { // get all daily reports List<ScheduledReport> scheduledReports = scheduledReportDAO.getDaily(); sendScheduledReports(scheduledReports); } private void sendScheduledReports(List<ScheduledReport> scheduledReports) { if(scheduledReports.size()<1) { return; } //check if data flow ended its process by checking the report_last_updated table in dwh int reportTimeId = scheduledReportDAO.getReportTimeId(); String todayTimeId = DateUtils.getTimeid(DateUtils.getTodayDate()); int yesterdayTimeId = Integer.parseInt(DateUtils.addDaysSafe(todayTimeId, -1)); int counter = 0; //wait for time id to update from the daily flow while (reportTimeId != yesterdayTimeId && counter < MAX_RETIRES) { errorService.logException("Daily report sender, data not ready. Will try again in one hour.", null, null, null); try { Thread.sleep(HALF_HOUR); } catch (InterruptedException ignore) {} reportTimeId = scheduledReportDAO.getReportTimeId(); counter++; } if (counter == MAX_RETIRES) { MarketplaceServiceException mse = new MarketplaceServiceException(); mse.setMessage("Data flow not done for today, reports are not sent."); throw mse; } // get updated timeid updateTimeId(); for (ScheduledReport scheduledReport : scheduledReports) { dataService.generateScheduledReport(scheduledReport); } } } The Invoked interface: public interface IDataService { @Transactional public void generateScheduledReport(ScheduledReport scheduledReport); } The implementation (up to the line of the exception): @Service public class DataService implements IDataService { public void generateScheduledReport(ScheduledReport scheduledReport) { // if no recipients or no export type - return if(scheduledReport.getRecipients()==null || scheduledReport.getRecipients().size()==0 || scheduledReport.getExportType() == null) { return; } } } Stack trace: ERROR: 2012-09-01 03:30:00,365 [Scheduler-15] LazyInitializationException.<init>(42) • Can't resolve CalledFromWrongThreadException with Handler

    - by michel
    I will try to keep it simple: In my main activity I make a handler: public class ARViewer extends ARDisplayActivity { public final MHandler mHandler = new MHandler(this); public void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) { ... The class MHandler: public final class MHandler extends Handler{ //main activity private ARViewer arnv; public MHandler(ARViewer arnv){ this.arnv = arnv; } @Override public void handleMessage(Message msg) { ... case H_RR : arnv.setContentView(R.layout.routeplanner); break; ... super.handleMessage(msg); } } But if I call the handleMessage method from a callback function in a other Class, definitely from a other thread, I still get the exception message: CalledFromWrongThreadException (Only the original thread that created a view hierarchy can touch its views) : public void rFound(Route route) { Message msg = new Message(); msg.what = MHandler.H_RR; ARViewer.arnv.mHandler.handleMessage(msg); }

  • Pyparsing CSV string with random quotes

    - by gtfx
Hey, I have a string like the following: <118date=2010-05-09,time=16:41:27,device_id=FE-2KA3F09000049,log_id=0400147717,log_part=00,type=statistics,subtype=n/a,pri=information,session_id=o49CedRc021772,from="[email protected]",mailer="mta",client_name="example.org,[194.177.17.24]",resolved=OK,to="[email protected]",direction="in",message_length=6832079,virus="",disposition="Accept",classifier="Not,Spam",subject="=?windows-1255?B?Rlc6IEZ3OiDg5fDp5fog+fno5fog7Pf46eHp7S3u4+Tp7SE=?=" I tried using CSV module and it didn't fit, cause i haven't found a way to ignore what's quoted. Pyparsing looked like a better answer but i haven't found a way to declare all the grammars. Currently, i am using my old Perl script to parse it, but i want this written in Python. if you need my Perl snippet i will be glad to provide it. Any help is appreciated.

  • Why is Log4j rootLogger not filtering log events according to event level?

    - by Derek Mahar
Why is the Log4j rootLogger in my application not filtering log events according to level? In my log4j.properties, I have several loggers: log4j.rootLogger=info,stdout log4j.logger.com.name.myapp=debug,myapp log4j.logger.org.castor=debug,castor log4j.logger.org.exolab.castor=debug,castor log4j.logger.org.hibernate=debug,hibernate log4j.logger.org.springframework=debug,spring Each of the loggers receive and record numerous log events at levels DEBUG and above, which is what I expect. The rootLogger, however, despite being set to level INFO, is displaying all of these events, too, including the DEBUG events, which is not what I expect. Instead, I would expect it to filter the DEBUG events, but display only the events at level INFO and higher (WARN, ERROR, and FATAL). Why is rootLogger displaying all of the events?

  • How can avoid at this line an OverflowException?

    - by SoMoS
LastInput.time is an Integer and m_idleTime is an Integer too. This line sometimes generates an Overflow exception, I think that this happens when both values are big negative values. (Environment.TickCount - lastInput.time) > m_idleTime How can I avoid that? With casting? (CType(Environment.TickCount,Long) - CType(lastInput.time,Long)) > m_idleTime Or maybe with this cast? CType((Environment.TickCount - lastInput.time),Long) > m_idleTime Thanks in advance.

  • SharePoint and Log4Net

    - by Nico
I'm looking for best practices to integrate log4net to SharePoint for web request, feature activation and all timer stuff. I have several subprojects in my farm, and I would like to have only one Log4Net.config file. [Edit] Not only I need to configure log4net for the web application, which is easy to do (I use global.asax, and a log4net.config file, so I can modify log settings withtout reloading the webapp), but I also need to log asynchronous events: Event Handler (like ItemAdded) Timer Jobs ...

  • What is the best method to write user "log files" of an android application to a file in a remote server or a table in a remote database?

    - by Samitha Chathuranga
I am creating a multi user android application and it is connected to a php web service in a remote server and to a remote database via that web service. I want to keep a track of all the important activities done by the users. For an example if a user logged in to the app and changed his profile details and then logged out, a brief description of what he has done should be recorded(with time) somewhere. So then the admin of the system can see what the users are doing. So I think it is better to use log cat files and then flush all those data to a unique file in the server or a table in the database, when the user logs out or exists from his account. If it is appropriate How to do it?

  • How to build a C++ Dll wrapper that catches all exceptions?

    - by bart de vries
Like the title says, we’re looking for a way to catch all exceptions from a piece of C++ code, and wrap this in a dll. This way we can shield of the application that uses this dll, from any errors occurring in this dll. However, this does not seem possible with C++ under Windows. Example: void function() { try { std::list<int>::iterator fd_it; fd_it++; } catch(...) {} } The exception that occurs is not caught by the standard C++ try/catch block, nor by any SEH translator function set by _set_se_translator(). Instead, the DLL crashes, and the program that uses the DLL is aborted. We compiled with Visual C++ 2005, with the option /SHa. Does anyone know if it’s possible in C++/Win32 to catch these kind of problems and make a rocksolid DLL wrapper?

I'm working on a data distribution application which receives data from a source and distributes that data to multiple target application. After successfully distributing several messages each second for 8 days, it missed a single message and did not deliver it properly to the clients. As I was looking at the logs I tried to find something there that was special for the time the miss happend - either in the data, its rate or some other condition but couldn't find anything. Is there any data mining technique I can use to identify how that specific event differs from other events?

  • What CPAN module can summarize Perl error logs?

    - by mithaldu
I'm maintaining some website code that will soon dump all its errors and warnings into a log file. In order to make this a bit more pro-active I plan to parse this log file daily, summarize the warnings and errors (i.e. count the occurrence of each specific one and group by either warning/error) and then email this to the devs on the project. This would likely admittedly be rather trivial with a hash and some further fiddling, I wondered if there is a suitable module on CPAN that I could use to do this task. It would either be one that summarizes specifically Perl error/warnings logs or one that summarizes arbitrary text files. Any suggestions?

  • Is it okay to use try catch inside finally?

    - by Hiral Lakdavala
Hi, I am using a buffered writer and my code, closes the writer in the finally block. My code is like this. ........... BufferedWriter theBufferedWriter = null; try{ theBufferedWriter =..... .... ...... ..... } catch (IOException anException) { .... } finally { try { theBufferedWriter.close(); } catch (IOException anException) { anException.printStackTrace(); } } I have to use the try catch inside the clean up code in finally as theBufferedWriter might also throw an IOException. I do not want to throw this exception to the calling methos. Is it a good practice to use a try catch in finally? If not what is the alternative? Please suggest. Regards, Hiral

  • Getting the instance when Constructor#newInstance throws?

    - by Shtééf
I'm working on a simple plugin system, where third party plugins implement a Plugin interface. A directory of JARs is scanned, and the implementing classes are instantiated with Constructor#newInstance. The thing is, these plugins call back into register* methods of the plugin host. These registrations use the Plugin instance as a handle. My problem is how to clean up these registrations if the constructor decides to fail and throw halfway through. InvocationTargetException doesn't seem to have anything on it to get the instance. Is there a way to get at the instance of an exception throwing constructor? P.S.: It's typically strongly advised to users that the constructor not do anything, but in practice people are doing it any ways.

I thought these two tests should behave identically, in fact I have written the test in my project using MS Test only to find out now that it does not respect the expected message in the same way that nunit does. nunit (fails): [Test, ExpectedException(typeof(System.FormatException), ExpectedMessage = "blah")] public void Validate() { int.Parse("dfd"); } ms test (passes): [TestMethod, ExpectedException(typeof(System.FormatException), "blah")] public void Validate() { int.Parse("dfd"); } No matter what message I give the ms test, it will pass. Is there any way to get the ms test to fail if the message is not right? Can I even create my own exception attribute? I would rather not have to write a try catch block for every test where this occurs.

  • Exception in NHunspell

    - by Nikhil K
    I have used the following code for spelling checking.While i am running that i am getting an exception--" The code is: using (Hunspell hunspell = new Hunspell("en_us.aff", "en_us.dic")) { bool correct = hunspell.Spell("Recommendation"); var suggestions = hunspell.Suggest("Recommendatio"); foreach (string suggestion in suggestions) { Console.WriteLine("Suggestion is: " + suggestion); } } // Hyphen using (Hyphen hyphen = new Hyphen("hyph_en_us.dic")) { var hyphenated = hyphen.Hyphenate("Recommendation"); } using (MyThes thes = new MyThes("th_en_us_new.idx", "th_en_us_new.dat")) { using (Hunspell hunspell = new Hunspell("en_us.aff", "en_us.dic")) { ThesResult tr = thes.Lookup("cars", hunspell); foreach (ThesMeaning meaning in tr.Meanings) { Console.WriteLine(" Meaning: " + meaning.Description); foreach (string synonym in meaning.Synonyms) { Console.WriteLine(" Synonym: " + synonym); } } }

  • Why no ArgumentEmptyException in .NET ?

    - by Andrei Rinea
I am beginning to think I am doing something wrong. I mean they did place System.String.IsNullOrWhitespace finally but no ArgumentEmptyException class. public FilterItem(string name, IEnumerable<string> extensions) { if (string.IsNullOrWhiteSpace(name)) { throw new ArgumentNullException("name"); } if (extensions == null) { throw new ArgumentNullException("extensions"); } if (extensions.Count() == 0) { throw new ArgumentOutOfRangeException("extensions"); } this.Name = name; this.Extensions = extensions; } throwing an ArgumentOutOfRangeException feels unnatural. Also an instance of ArgumentException is too general in my opinion. It's easy to me to create a new exception class call it this way and have it over with. What bugs me is that it's not in the BCL/FCL and I am beginning to think there's a good reason not to have it. Should there be one?
