I'm looking for a simple telephony API for use with Rails application. The application must be able to make a notification call through the API and receive confirmation code from the dialpad.
So I want to write a servlet which uploads a video to a youtube channel using the Java API, but I can't seem to find a way of specifying that I want to go through a proxy server. I've seen an example on this site where someone managed to do this using C#, but the Classes they used don't seem to exist in the Java API. Has anybody managed to successfully do this?
YouTubeService service = new YouTubeService(clientID, developerKey);
hi,
can I use google maps feeds to get all information about local business, restaurants, etc ?
I need to build my application, not necessarily map based, about local business in my city.
I was wondering if I can use google maps as dataset.
thanks

I registered a domain with Dreamhost.
I want to setup Google Apps with the domain I registered.
I tried googling instructions and looking at the Dreamhost wiki and Google support, but the instructions are confusing. Can some one create an easy step-by-step guide for me?
I have connected to a google calendar in iCal (4.0.1). All was well until recently. For about a week, the google calendar shows the little rotating throbber constantly. Nothing stops it. No errors, no log that I can find out how to read. Any diagnostic suggestions?
Hi everybody,
I have just installed the Mantis bug tracker to use together with Eclipse IDE and have started too found out the advantages of it. Really great.
Since Eclipse communicates with Mantis through an PHP soap API, I wonder if there's some documentation available on how I can myself make calls to the API to add new bugs and get statuses of existing ones.
Thanks a lot!
Hi!
I'm looking for a map API where I can get detailed elevation for points. I'm not looking elevation differences for certain paths along roads on the map but actual building heights. Getting the the 3d meshes for buildings would also be fine since I can compute the height myself using that information.
Does any of the map API's out there support giving out this kind of information?
Does anyone know of any (preferrably free) supported api's for accessing movie showtimes by zip code?
I don't believe any existing api's, such as netflix or imdb, provide this information.
Thanks!
Is there a task list app for the iPhone that syncs to Google Tasks?
(I'm speaking of the task list attached to Google Calendar.)
Preferably free, but I'm not against paying a few $.
I am looking for a .Net CMS that allows me to expose pages/articles that are created in the CMS to other applications without querying the CMS database. Preferably this would be done through an API and by exposing them through a custom secured webservice.
I know Sitefinity can do this.
Do you know if
Umbraco
DotNetNuke
can do this?
If yes, a link to some documentation of the API is appreciated!
The bit.ly info API returns URLs for thumbnail images. When I attempt to access these images, I receive an access denied error. How do you access the thumbnail images generated by bit.ly?
EDIT:
I am testing the image URL by taking the URL provided by the info API and using the browser to access. Bit.ly returns an Access Denied error code. Do I need to somehow provide the login and apikey?
I am about to start a portal project, and was considering Liferay as the base platform. However, I just learned about Google Sites and I am impressed on its capabilities. Anyone has an experience on substituting his intranet with Google Sites?
Thanks.
Just wondering, has anyone installed Google Chrome on Mac OSX and can no longer connect to localhost websites?
I've just installed Google Chrome, only change I've made and all my browsers can no longer find any of my sites on my Mac.
After recently reinstalling windows I now find that iegallery does not offer the create your own search provider any more - get a 404 if you use the old link.
So how can I add google.ie to IE9, only options searching iegallery are .com, .co.uk but no .ie
TIA

Is it possible to copy all my delicious bookmarks to google bookmarks, while preserving the delicious tags as google labels? It is easy enough to export as html and import again, but the tags get lost in the process.
I came across this when I did a search on SO:
http://stackoverflow.com/questions/518026/zip-code-to-city-state-and-vice-versa-in-a-database
But I'm wondering, why can't we just use the Maps APIs for this? Has anyone tried doing this?
i make a demo using v2 , and now i want to using v3..
but i found v3 has not many method that v2 has,
ex:
1.map.enableGoogleBar();
2.map.enableScrollWheelZoom();
3.polyline.enableDrawing()

I want Firefox to redirect bad and broken links to Google search instead of the "Can't find the server" page. If it takes an add-on, that's okay.
When you enter a bad or broken link in Google Chrome, the browser takes you to a search results page with all possibly relevant links to the request attempted.
Please don't suggest the search-tool-bar, I am aware of it. And it's not really significant in this scenario.
Hi everyone,
I need to access Facebook from a J2EE-App (serverside).
I first had a look at this project: http://code.google.com/p/facebook-java-api/
, but as I need to create Facebook-Events and invite people this does not help.
So I guess I need to use the Graph API, but Igot no clue on how to perform those HTTP POST requests needed - especially how to append the nedded attributes.
I'm evaluating a piece of software (uPortal), and it lists one of its features as "Pluggable APIs."
I know what an API is, but have not heard the pluggable term before. What does it mean for an API to be "pluggable"?
I like Google Chrome because it is fast but I don't like using the arrow keys in the location bar to complete URLs. Is there any extension, or setting I'm missing, that allows me to use the Tab key (or other customizable key) for completion like in Firefox?
I am an Emacs user and am aware of Conkeror. I just wanted to give Google Chrome a fair chance.
Edit: I'm using version 4.0.266.0 on Linux.
I am using google maps api v3 and have an array of arrays object:
MVCArray.<MVCArray.<LatLng>>
I want to iterate over this. I see that MVCArray has a method forEach which uses a call back, but I have no idea how to use this (I haven't done much js). The api defines this method as follows:
forEach(callback:function(*, number)))
Could somebody please show me an example of how to use this given an MVCArray of MVCArrays?
"Google Gears" could not be installed because it is not compatible with your Firefox build type (Linux_x86-gcc3). Please contact the author of this item about the problem.
This is the error i am getting while installing google gears in my firefox in ubuntu. Can anybody help me.
I tried default user agent addon still its not working.
I know that BlackBerry and Nokia provide their own API's that go above and beyond what is specified in MIDP, CLDC, or any of the JSRs for Java ME.
I am looking at a few other platforms for Java ME development and needed to know:
Do Windows Mobile, LG, Samsung, ZTE, or Huawei provide their own API's for Java ME development?
