  • Flex - Cancel drag operation via keyboard

    Hello I would like to be able to cancel a drag operation with the Escape key. The following did not work so far: calling stopDrag() on the component -- nothing happens calling DragManager.acceptDragDrop(null) -- nothing happens calling mx_internal function DragManager.endDrag() -- drag partly stops, the drag proxy image disappears but now the drop indicator shows at row 0, and also there's a null error when finally releasing the mouse Anybody else had any luck with this? Thanks!

    hi, I would like to detect the direction of the current typing (input) language. I may detect the language by means of "GetKeyboardLayout", but then I'll have to check if it equals to Arabic or Hebrew and so on, is there any way just to detect the direction, i.e. left to right or right to left. thanks! mike.

  • enabling the "return button" in a UITextField keyboard (objective-c/iphone)

    When I start editing a UITextField, I have the "Clear When Editing Begins" option checked so it starts off with no text. However, the "Return" button is grayed out until you type at least one character. I've seen other iphone apps where the "Return" button is not grayed out (and if you press it with no text, then it goes back to what the text used to be). How is this done? Thanks.

    Hello you all! I just made an application which purpose is to find an x result using the rule of three. It runs fine and everything but there is a small problem. I am using WinXP Europpean Spanish version. As we all know, in many europpean countries the decimal dot is changed by a " , " comma. When I use my application, it turns out that when I press the dot key on my keyboard´s number pad, my application doesnt take it as a normal decimal dot and it ignores it... so I need to manually press the comma key so it can give me the right answer. How can I solve this problem?

  • Visual Studio - easy way to bring up type definition as source code

    Oftentimes I want to bring up a system class in a source view, so that I can browse the properties and methods exposed by the class in a source view. Below is the screenshot of what I mean: Usually I do this by selecting the class name and pressing F12 (or right clickGo To Definition). However, if I haven't got it anywhere ready, i have type it up and then do Go To Definition. Most of the time I have to delete what I typed later on. Is there a way to bring up this view without having to type the class name? The VS2010 Navigate To dialog doesn't support this.

I am using the Requestmap concept by storing each role, user and requestmap inside the database only... Now my requirement is to provide the menu items based on the users assigned roles... For e.g.: If my "User" Main Menu have following Items : Dashboard Import User Manage User And if I have assigned a roles of Dashboard and Import User to the user with a username "auditor" then, only following Menu items should be displayed on the screen : User (Main Menu) - Dashboard (sub menu) - Import User (sub menu) I have explored the Spring Security ACL plugin for the same, but it's using the Domain classes to get it working... There is only room for no more than 7-8 links in the nav bar. I don't want the future maintainer of the site to add more than 8 items to the menu. Is there a way I can set a limit on that?     Dear all, I am working on a project in which I have to develop bio-passwords based on user's keystroke style. Suppose a user types a password for 20 times, his keystrokes are recorded, like holdtime : time for which a particular key is pressed. digraph time : time it takes to press a different key. suppose a user types a password " COMPUTER". I need to know the time for which every key is pressed. something like : holdtime for the above password is C-- 200ms O-- 130ms M-- 150ms P-- 175ms U-- 320ms T-- 230ms E-- 120ms R-- 300ms The rational behind this is , every user will have a different holdtime. Say a old person is typing the password, he will take more time then a student. And it will be unique to a particular person. To do this project, I need to record the time for each key pressed. I would greatly appreciate if anyone can guide me in how to get these times. Editing from here.. Language is not important, but I would prefer it in C. I am more interested in getting the dataset.

    Hello. I am writing python chatbot that displays output through console. Every half second it asks server for updates, and responds to message. In the console I can see chat log. This is sufficient in most cases, however, sometimes I want to interrupt normal workflow and write custom chat answer myself. I would love to be able to press a button (or combination) that would switch to "custom reply mode". What is the best way to do that, or achieve similar result? Thanks a lot!

I would to do as much as possible "pre production", with client input, ideas etc. stored in IA diagrams, wireframe mockups etc. in something like a Wiki. Also a like the idea about having different people come up with different design proposals. Wouldlike to have some ideas of costs of different phases and tasks ($, %, hours). With Design I mean roughly the aspects of a site that can be done with client-side tools, especially XHTML and CSS. What other tools should I use than IA diagrams.

    On a single/detail Custom Post Page I would like to display a custom nav of li's or divs in a sidebar that displays both title, excerpt and permalink for the next 3 posts within the custom post series. So if we are on custom post 3 then it would show 4, 5, 6 in the sidebar.     I am writing a bit of code that appends my site nav with and extra ul that gives a description about where that link takes you. I need to use our CMS's built in Nav structure so appending via jQuery was the best solution, and XML makes the data easier to manage. My question is this: is there a more efficient way to write out the js?     I have page1.aspx and page2.aspx in a website I need to navigate as: Page1-- Page 2(on click of go back button, back to page1)-- page 1 I am using jQuery code to navigate: var pagename= "page2.aspx"; jQ(location).attr('href', pagename); I tried using same code in page2 to navigate back to page 1: var path2 = "page1.aspx"; jq(location).attr('href', path2); also tried below code and similar few others as well. document.location.pathname = '../Pages/page1.aspx'; But all it does is, navigate me to show Directory Listing, where it shows all page names under pages folder. Is there anything wrong with the code ? I tried to do it as per levels too, that is ../pages/page1.aspx .
