  Data governance,veri ile ilgili islemler için bir sorumluluklar sistemidir. Bu sistemin temelini ise politikalar, standartlar ve prosedürler olusturur. Sistem politikalar, standartlar ve prosedürler sayesinde verinin ne zaman, hangi sartlar altinda, hangi eylemlerde, hangi yöntemler ile kimler tarafindan kullanilacagina karar verir. Sistemin kurumda basarili bir sekilde islemesi için öncelikle kurumda farkindalik saglanmasi gereklidir. Farkindalik saglandiktan sonra ise kurum governance ve mimari kültürünü benimsemelidir. Ancak bu sartlar altinda sistem basarili bir sekilde isleyebilecektir. Bu sebeplerden dolayidir ki data governance kisa bir süreç degil, aksine kurum varligini sürdürdügü sürece isleyecek olan bir süreçtir. Bu durum bize data governance in bir proje degil bir program oldugunu açiklamaktadir. Programin baslangicinda kurumun ihtiyaçlarinin netlesmesi ve farkindaligin saglanmasi temeldir. Hedef kitle ise, veri ile dogrudan ve ya dolayli olarak iliski içerisinde olan herkesdir. Bu sebeple programin baslangicinda hedef kitleyi içeren ekipler ile toplantilar düzenlenecektir. Bu toplantilar sayesinde hem farkindalik saglanacak hemde ekiplerin ihtiyaçlari birebir ekipler tarafindan aktarilarak netlesecektir. Hedef kitlenin ihtiyaçlari netlestirildikten sonra ise devamli isleyecek olan bu sürecin planlamasi yapilacaktir. Bu sürecin planlanmasinda ihtiyaçlarin önceliklendirilmesi gerekmektedir. Sebebi ise her ekibin ihtiyaçlarinin farkli olabilecegi ve bütün ihtiyaçlara ayni anda karsilik verilemeyebileceginin öngörülmesidir. Bu öngörünün temeli ise ekiplerin ihtiyaçlarinin birbirleriyle olan baglantisidir. Süreç planlamasinda ihtiyaçlarin önceliklendirilmesinin ardindan kurumun büyüklügünün gözönünde bulundurulmasi gerekmedir. Kurumun büyüklügünün önemi ise eger kurum bir bütün olarak ayni anda govern edilemeyecek kadar büyük ise ihtiyaçlari öncelikli olarak bulunan ekipler ile govern edilmesine baslanarak sürecin belirli bir hiz ile bütün kurumda isler hale getirilmesini saglamaktir. Ihtiyaçlar belirlendikten ve ilgili ekipler seçildikten sonra artik programin planlanmasina geçilebilecek. Programin planlama asamasinda öncelikli olarak sürecin asamalarini kontrol edecek ve süreç kurum içerisinde isleyise geçtiginde kontrolü saglayacak olan Data Governance Office in planlanmasidir. Office in planlanmasiyla birlikte süreçteki roller ve bu rollerin sorumluluklari belirlenecektir. Planlama asamasinda Data governance office, roller ve sorumluluklar, güvenlik ve veri saklanan sistemler ele alinacak konulardir. Planlama asamasi tamamlandiginda ise belirlenen ekipler ve ihtiyaçlar dogrultusunda programin isleyis asamasina geçilebilecektir. Isleyis kisminda ekibin ihtiyaçlari dogrultusunda güvenlik konusunda ve veri saklanan sistemler üzerinde çalismalar yapilacaktir. Bu yapilan çalismalar bir süreç olarak dökümante edilecek ve süreç sona erdiginde baska bir ekiple baska bir ihtiyaç dogrultusunda çalisma yapilarak ayni süreç isletilecek ve böylece kurum içesinde ilgili süreçte standartlasma saglanacaktir. Güvenlik konusunda verinin erisim güvenligi ve kullanim güvenligi ele alinacaktir. Veri saklanan sistemler üzerindeki çalismalar ise saklanan sistemlerin program dahilinde belirlenen standartlar ile olusturulmasi ve yönetilmesi saglanacaktir. Isleyis kisminin ardindan ise programin izleme kismina geçilecektir. Bu kisimda artik Data Governance Office olusmus, politikalar, standartlar ve prosedürler belirlenmistir. Ve Data Governance Office çalisanlari rolleri ve sorumluluklari dahilinde programin isleyisini izleyecek ve gerek gördügünde politikalar standartlar ve prosedürler üzerinde degisiklikler yapacaklardir.

  I have a small domain, which I use only for personal purposes. I'm the main user, and have at most 3-4 users at the same time. I use apache2 with passenger to serve redmine.   Hi, This morning I wanted to move my development website online (in a protected folder), but I figured out that our host (on a shared server) does not use apache mod_rewrite but Zeus rules. I've never heard about that before but it seems that apache rules could be automatically converted via a command line, but as you can guess I have no such access on the server. So, do you know any online coverter from Apache rules to Zeus ones? (I tried google but found nothing). They always ask my boss whether they can stop users from copying their media, and he asks me, and I always tell him the same thing: no. If the users can view the media, then a sufficiently determined user will always be able to make a copy. But am I right? I've been asked again today, and I promised my boss I'd ask about it online. So - is there a DRM scheme that will work? One that will stop users making copies without stopping legitimate viewing of the media? And if there isn't, how do I convince my boss?

  I've messed with Access a little bit in the past, had one class on OO theory, and one class on console c++ apps. Now, as a hobby project, I'm undertaking to write an actual app, which will be a database app using System.Data.SQLite and C#. I have the db's table structure planned. I have System.Data.SQLite installed and connected to VS Pro. I entered my tables and columns in VS, but that's where I'm stuck. I really don't know how to finish the db set up so I can start creating queries and testing the db structure. Can someone give me guidance to online resources that will help me learn how to get the db properly set up so I can proceed with testing it? I'm hoping for online resources specific to beginners using C# and System.Data.SQLite, but I'll use the closest I can get. Thanks.

Currently I have a variable which I switch before I compile and upload: bool silverlightAppIsLive = true; which I use to determine whether or not to get data from the first or second URL above.   Hi guys I'm trying to integrate simple machines forum into my custom made membership website. I'm using the SMF API which is available here at http://download.simplemachines.org/?tools. The thing is that its working on my localhost testing server - however on my online server where the system is hosted - its not working. I have set it up so that when the user log into my own custom CMS membership site, he/she is logged in automatically to his/her corresponding account on the forum. However it works on my localhost but online its not working at all.. I log into my site and then browse to the forum to find out I havent been logged in there :( - I think its not creating the cookies or registering the session.. where should I look here. Please do help.

• Buddypress on local server install has issues

  I have buddypress working nicely on a server, however I can't display the 'members' page or any individual profile page on a local webserver install I have made. If I try and visit /members/ I just get redirected back to the main buddypress page. I also just noticed online members never shows whose online and the link to the default blog on the main page is listed as http://localhost.localdomain/mu/BP_HOME_BLOG_SLUG which seems to indicate to me that BP_HOME_BLOG_SLUG is undefined, I can't find where it gets set or defined, not sure if these two problems are related to the other problems. No idea what's causing it, I've been pouring over the php files but haven't even gotten a clue, any suggestions on what I could do?

• Rewriting subdomain to subfolder with htaccess

  I'm attempting to use .htaccess in the root folder of an Ubuntu/Apache2 server in order to mask a subdomain to subfolder and I keep getting a 500 Internal Error. I know that I'm doing something stupidly wrong and it is some silly error causing the problem. I've checked all of the similar threads on SO and online and whenever I try their advice the 500 continues. Here's my code. RewriteEngine on RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^admin\.mydomain\.com.*$ RewriteRule (.*) intranet/$1 [L] What I want to occur is that if a user visits admin.mydomain.com they will get the contents of the folder admin.mydomain.com/intranet/ but their URL bar will still be admin.mydomain.com. Any idea what I'm doing wrong? In addition, some of the threads online talked about possible problems with this system. Is this the best way of doing this masking, should I be using a vhost setup?

  Do online programming tests have any value (except for providing an evidence to potential employers) in terms of evaluating your knowledge, or a they too broad or too narrow in general? For examples, brainbench.com and similar websites. From my experience I have never found myself scoring particularly high, although I have many years of commercial experience and is doing great at work. These tests mostly refer to things I have never worked with (WebForms or ADO .Net, who works with ADO .Net directly anyway?), yet these tests claim to be C# tests. If you were hiring a programmer, would you consider online tests as an evidence of real skill?

  Hi everybody, I have a little (maybe the answer could require a book) question about web services and server side programming. But first, a little preamble. Recently we have seen new kind of applications & games using some kind of real-time interaction with a database, or more generally, with other users. I'm talking about shared drawing canvas, games like this , or simple chats, or the Android app "a World of Photo", where in real time you see who is online, to share your photos, etc. Now my question: Are all these apps based on classic TCP client/server architectures or is there a way to make them in a simpler way, like a web platform like LAMP? What I'm asking, in other words is: Can PHP+MySQL (or JSP, or RoR, or any other server language) provide a way to make online users communicate in real time and share data? Is there a way to do that without the ugly and heavy mechanism of temporary tables? Thank you! I hope I've been clear.

• Setting up gcov in Xcode 3.1

  I'm trying to setup my Xcode project to be instrumented with gcov so I can determine the code coverage of my unit tests. All of the documentation I find online talks about settings that I don't find in Xcode 3.1, though. An example: To work with Coverstory, first you need to set up your target to work with gcov. This requires turning on "Instrument Program Flow", "Generate Test Coverage Files" and linking with the gcov library. (Using Coverstory) The closest thing I can find to "Instrument Program Flow" and "Generate Test Coverage Files" in my build settings is "Generate Profiling Code", which doesn't appear to do what I want it to do. Am I looking in the wrong place for these settings or are all of the examples I'm finding online stale?

The testid and the set_number would be passed using Session variables. I'm having 3 testIDs and 3 Sets per TestID and, thus, am using 9 tables to store the Questions, the Options and the correct answer. I need help on how to set the FormView so that it extracts the questions from a particular table only. Do I need to use a StoredProcedure ? If yes, how? PS: If I use only one table to store all the questions from each Set and for each TestID, I can do that, but I'd prefer using separate tables.

• Is there a way to pass a custom type from C# to Oracle using System.Data.OracleClient?

  I was searching online for a solution to passing a string array to a stored procedure in Oracle. The "easy" but messy way was using a comma delimited string. I had found a sample based on which I created my own type of TABLE of VARCHAR2(200). I understood that I could use a constructor created "behind-the-scenes" by Oracle to give a list of values that would, in the PL/SQL, be treated as a TABLE I could iterate through. But when I got to the C# I saw that there is no way for me to create an OracleParameter object that would allow me to use this implicit constructor. All the samples I'm finding online for now are dealing with Oracle Data Adapter, none say anything about System.Data.OracleClient. Is there a way to achieve this?

• Sending data remotely from iPhone native apps to Rails apps

  Dear all, I have decided to develop a native iPhone apps as a compliment to our webapps. Now I am wondering what are my options to send data remotely from the iPhone apps - since the database is online - to our online database. What I can think of on top of my head - since I come from web dev background - is JSON. My webapps is built using Rails, so I figure it would not be difficult to accept JSON request from the iPhone apps.
