  • XML String into a DataGridView (C#)

    I am currently working with a webservice to pull a report about users in a remote support system. After pulling my report and receiving the result, I am given the following string back by the method: <report><header><field id="0">Source</field><field id="1">Session ID</field><field id="2">Date</field><field id="3">Name</field><field id="24">Technician Name</field><field id="25">Technician ID</field></header><data><row><field id="0">Email</field><field id="1">55037806</field><field id="2">4/13/2010 2:28:06 AM</field><field id="3">Bill Gates</field><field id="24">John</field><field id="25">1821852</field></row><row><field id="0">Telephone</field><field id="1">55034548</field><field id="2">4/13/2010 12:59:44 AM</field><field id="3">Steve Jobs</field><field id="24">John</field><field id="25">1821852</field></row></data></report> After receiving this string, I need to take it and display the actual data in a datagridview. I've tried putting it into an XMLDocument then reading that, but it seems to keep failing. Just interested in another set of eyes :) Application is written in C# in VS2010.

    I have a XHTML string I want to replace tags in for example <span tag="x">FOO</span> <span tag="y"> <b>bar</b> some random text <span>another span</span> </span> I want to be able to find tag="x" and replace FOO with my own content and find tag=y and replace all the inner content with by own content. What is the best way to do this? I am thinking regex is definitely out of the question. Can XPATH do this or is that just for searching can it do manipulation?

  • How do you set a "Document class" from an SWC in Flash CS4?

    I have an SWC with a class called Content. I want to set it as the "Document Class" in Flash. However, after setting up the SWC in the .fla, I am receiving an error message saying that "A definition for the document class could not be found in the classpath,..." Setting up the direct class folder works fine, but I need to distribute this SWC and do not want to include the sources. Is it possible to use a class as the Document Class if it resides in an SWC?     I'm currently setting up an application config for a WPF application written in .Net 4.0. The connection string in the app.config is encrypted like so: <connectionStrings configProtectionProvider="DataProtectionConfigurationProvider"> <EncryptedData> <CipherData> <CipherValue>CypherValue</CipherValue> </CipherData> </EncryptedData> </connectionStrings> To use the EncryptedData element I need to include the XMLNS "http://schemas.microsoft.com/.NetConfiguration/v2.0". Attempting to include it produces an error as the schema cannot be found. Is there a way to include the schema or perhaps a different element I could use instead of EncryptedData?

In a test, I discovered that simply having the child class's ReadXml method call base.ReadXml resulted in an InvalidCastException later on.     I am looking that chapter 8 of the RedHat, JBoss documentation. I am trying to setup Certificate Authentication as described on this page . On the page it says that the login-config file should have this in it: <application-policy name="jmx-console"> <authentication> <login-module code="org.jboss.security.auth.spi.BaseCertLoginModule" flag="required"> <module-option name="password-stacking">useFirstPass</module-option> <module-option name="securityDomain">java:/jaas/jmx-console</module-option> </login-module> <login-module code="org.jboss.security.auth.spi.UsersRolesLoginModule" flag="required"> <module-option name="password-stacking">useFirstPass</module-option> <module-option name="usersProperties">jmx-console-users.properties</module-option> <module-option name="rolesProperties">jmx-console-roles.properties</module-option> </login-module> </authentication> </application-policy> I think that the BaseCertLoginModule chekcs the clients server and the UsersRolesloginModule assigns the client to role (using the file jmx-console-roles.properties). However I am completely bewildered as to what should be in this file: jmx-console-users.properties. Normally that file stores user/password pairs (source) but when using client-cert I don't think that there should be passwords in there. Right now I am leaving that file empty but I am getting this exception: [org.jboss.security.auth.spi.UsersRolesLoginModule.initialize:135] Failed to load users/passwords/role files java.io.IOException: No properties file: users.properties or defaults: defaultUsers.properties found ... What should be in that file? Thanks.
