  • Globally overrride MonthNames for all instances of a specific culture

    So, i have this problem where Microsoft actually got the month names wrong for the Greenlandic culture (kl-GL). I also know that i can pass my own array of string to the DateTimeFormatInfo.MonthNames Property, but it seems like the values i specify is only used in the scope of that one CultureInfo instance. Is there a way to tell .Net that every time i have an instance of the kl-GL culture these specific monthnames should be used? I know that you can create user specific cultures, but i don't have access to some legacy code to actually change the code to use a my own userspecified culture.

  • Casting to specific asp.net page type

    I have an asp.net page with a code-behind class definition as follows: public partial class examplepage : System.Web.UI.Page I'd like to set a public property within the page that I can reference from other classes. My understanding is that if I cast to examplepage then I should be able to get at the public property that is specific to example page, as in: string test=((examplepage)HttpContext.Current.Handler).propertyX; However, when I try casting as above the compiler does not recognise examplepage. Can anyone tell me how I can cast? I have no specific namespaces defined. Thanks

  • Trying to use the "Use Specific Printer" option in Access 2007

    I am trying to set a report to use a specific printer. I go into design mode, click on the page setup ribbon, click the page setup bottun, go into the page tabt, click the option to choose a specific printer, and then click the printer button to choose the printer I want to use. I save the steps and exit out of the report, but it still goes back and prints from the default printer. Why? I had no problems with this feature in 2003, why am I having problems in 2007. Any suggestions on how to fix this problem would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

    Hi, I have some problems retrieving specific tuples. I am actually a student trying to build a Room management system. I have two tables: Room(roomID,hotelname,rate) and Reservation(resID,arriveDate,departDate,roomID). I am not sure how to retrieve the rooms that are available between 2 specific dates. This was the query that i used. SELECT Room.roomID,hotelname,rate FROM Room LEFT JOIN Reservation on ( Room.roomID=Reservation.resID and arriveDate >='2010-02-16' and departDate <='2010-02-20' ) GROUP BY roomID,hotelname,rate HAVING count(*)=0;' but it returns an empty set. Can any1 be kind enough to tell me what mistake i am doing??

How is the accomplished in the new VS2010 help? The VS2010 help at the moment, is very hazy. When I search for Task, or task, or c# task. re the new Task library in .net, it returns a whole bundle of irrelevancy... Any ideas.

  • Do the changes to cpumask using sched_setaffinity() take place immediately

    I am writing a linux kernel module that needs to pin two threads on two different cpus. I am planning to use sched_setaffinity() after exporting it in the kernel. Is there any other exported function for the same ? Also, if I set only 1 CPU in the cpumask, will the thread be moved to that cpu with immediate effect ? If not, how do I enforce the same ? Will it help to call schedule() just after sched_setaffinity() ?

    Task at hand After a virtual disk has been added to a Linux VM on vSphere 5, we need to identify the disks in order to automate the LVM storage provision. The virtual disks may reside on different datastores (e.g. sas or flash) and although they may be of the same size, their speed may vary. So I need a method to map the vSphere disks to Linux devices. Only the first hex digit is different (5 vs. 6) and it is only present to the third hyphen. So this looks promising... Alternative idea Select disks by controller. But is it reliable that the ascending SCSI Id also matches the next vSphere virtual disk? What happens if I add another DVD-ROM drive / USB Thumb drive? This will probably introduce new SCSI devices in between. Thats the cause why I think I will discard this idea. Questions Does someone know an easier method to map vSphere disks and Linux devices? Can someone explain the differences in the uuid strings? (I think this has something to do with SAS adressing initiator and target... WWN like...) May I reliably map devices by using those uuid strings? How about SCSI virtual disks? There is no uuid visible then... This task seems to be so obvious. Why doesn't Vmware think about this and simply add a way to query the disk mapping via Vmware Tools?

  • Errors when switching to specific static IP

    I had a Fedora box running using my static IP 69.169.136.6, etc, all configured according to what the ISP required. Just recently the hard drive failed (and I should have been keeping better backups) - while it is being recovered I would like to put up a webpage on my Archlinux PC explaining the problem - I presently do not have sufficient access to change the DNS record assigned to the domain. When I change my ip address while my system is running to 69.169.136.6, ifconfig reports the new ip address, but http://whatismyip.com/ does not. When I change it and reboot, I can't ping - the message I recieve is "connect: Network is unreachable" (when given one of google.com 's IP addresses - hostnames give me ping: unknown host xxx). Until I have access to the DNS system, what can I do to make this work? Edit: With new IP address, same problem, IP is now 69.169.136.29.     I have Kerberos-based authentication and I want to disable it on only root url: mysite.com/. And I want it to works fine on any other page like mysite.com/page1. I have such things in my .htaccess: AuthType Kerberos AuthName "Domain login" KrbAuthRealms DOMAIN.COM KrbMethodK5Passwd on Krb5KeyTab /etc/httpd/httpd.keytab require valid-user I want to turn it off only for root URL. As workaround it is possible to turn off using .htaccess in virtual host config. Unfortunately I don't know how to do it.   • Using %v in Apache LogFormat definition matches ServerName instead of specific vhost requested

    We have an application which uses a DNS wildcard, i.e. *.app.example.com. We're using Apache 2.2 on Ubuntu Hardy. The relevant parts of the Apache config are as follows. In /etc/apache2/httpd.conf: LogFormat "%v %h %l %u %t \"%r\" %>s %b \"%{Referer}i\" \"%{User-Agent}i\"" vlog In /etc/apache2/sites-enabled/app.example.com: ServerName app.example.com ServerAlias *.app.example.com ... CustomLog "|/usr/sbin/vlogger -s access.log /var/log/apache2/vlogger" vlog Clients access this application using their own URL, e.g. company1.app.example.com, company2.app.example.com, etc. Previously, the %v in the LogFormat directive would match the hostname of the client request, and we'd get several subdirectories under /var/log/apache2/vlogger corresponding to the various client URLs in use. Now, %v appears to be matching the ServerName value, so we only get one log under /var/log/apache2/vlogger/app.example.com. This breaks our logfile analysis because the log file has no indication of which client the log relates to. I can fix this easily by changing the LogFormat to this: LogFormat "%{Host}i %h %l %u %t \"%r\" %>s %b \"%{Referer}i\" \"%{User-Agent}i\"" vlog This will use the HTTP Host: header to tell vlogger which subdirectory to create the logs in and everything will be fine. The only concern I have is that this has worked in the past and I can't find any indication that this has changed recently. Is anyone else using a similar config, i.e. wildcard + vlogger and using %v? Is it working fine?

I want to be able to setup apache so that: http://mywebsite/some/path1?param1=value1&param2=value2 will run the fastcgi app foo AND mywebsite/another/path1?param1=value1&param2=value2 will run the fastcgi app foobar Note: The url above is intentionally invalid (missing the protocol type), since I cant post more than 1 link in this question. How do I setup apache to achieve this?

  • pfSense with two WANs, routing skype traffic over a specific WAN

    I have a pfSense setup with two WANs (WAN1 and WAN2) and one LAN network. The two WANs are setup for failover. However, QoS has recently been an issue for skype calls in our office place (about 30 people) so we want to dedicate WAN2 for skype traffic (we use skype for all voip calls, etc.) As Skype is notoriously difficult to deal with, does anyone have any suggestions on how I should deal with this?   • Route specific HTTP requests through pfSense OpenVPN

    Hi, to start, I have very little knowledge on routes, iptables, etc. That said, here's what I'm trying to accomplish and where I think I'm stumped: Problem: We have an external website which we recently firewalled so it only accepts traffic from our office IP addresses. This works well at the office, but doesn't work for remote access through VPN as we don't route all traffic through OpenVPN. I would rather avoid forcing everyone to route all traffic through just to accommodate this one site. Environment: Main router box is running pfSense. Em0 is internal IP, Em1 is external. Internal net is 10.23.x and VPN is 10.0.8.0/24 I believe what I need to do is add a route to the VPN server config to send all traffic to that IP over the VPN tunnel. I think that part's working, but I don't get a response back, so I'm assuming that I need some NAT config on the VPN server to route the response back over the tunnel? What I've found so far is to try the following, but since this is a pfSense box on FreeBSD, I can't run iptables, etc. Make sure ip forwarding is enabled: echo 1 /proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_forward Setup NAT back out: iptables -t nat -A POSTROUTING -s 10.0.8.0/24 -o em0 -j MASQUERADE Am I on the right path, and if so how do I accomplish this through pfSense UI or FreeBSD CLI?
