  • MySQL on two ports using IPTables - self-access

    I trying to make MySQL available by 2 ports: 3306 and 3339 I added rule to iptables: iptables -t nat -A PREROUTING -i bond0 -p tcp --dport 3339 -j REDIRECT --to-port 3306 and everythin is great for remote connections. But if I'm trying to connect it locally, I'm getting an error: mysql -u username -ppassword --port=3339 -h Host.Name ERROR 2003 (HY000): Can't connect to MySQL server on 'Host.Name' (111) Any ideas how can I edit iptables to get local access via 3339 port?

  • Why won't these two mod_rewrite rules work together?

    Here is what I have: <IfModule mod_rewrite.c> RewriteEngine on RewriteRule ^users/(\d+)/post$ post.php [L] RewriteRule ^users/(\d+)$ user.php?id=$1 [L] The first rule doesn't work. The second one does. All I get when I enter .../users/1/post is a 404 error. What am I doing wrong? Edit: The error log doesn't have anything in it relating to this.

    In a portion of a program I'm working on, I need to count all the times each person has worked on projects with each other person. Let's say we have "Employee" entities and "Session" entities. In each session, there are four project types, "A", "B", "C", & "D", each a many-to-many relationship to Employees. I'm making a loop to systematically review every person a selected person has worked with. First, I put all their project types in a single array, so it's easier to loop through, but by the time I ask the last nested Project for its Employee members, I get an "unrecognized selector" error. I've created a new column for the urls, so I'm looking for a way to extract them and update the linkurl column with them. Is there any clever way to construct a query that does this?

    When trying to add words to a database via php, only the first word of both strings gets added.   • Why can I not have two SocketServers bound to two different ports in the same application?

    I am using .Net 3.5 and Windows XP not sure if any more information is needed. I have an application that creates a socket, binds to a port and starts listening. A client comes and connects and then disconnects no problem. It can then reconnect no problem. If I have to sockets each listening on a different (e.g. 50 000 and 55 000) then it will accept the connection but it will not allow a reconnect. I will post source code if needed but I am assuming that it is just something simple that I am not catching.

  • Event-based interaction between two custom classes

    Hello everybody. I have such problem: I have 2 custom components, which have their own nesting hierarchy ... One is container for another. I have to "familiarize them" with each other. The way I'm trying to achieve that is using global events (one side is firing and the other one is catching): Application.application.addEventListener("Hello", function (data:Event):void{ // .. some actions }); //and Application.application.dispatchEvent(new Event(Hello)); Everything is pretty good, but there's one thingy .. when I'm trying to catch the event, I can't access the class, who is catching it. E.g.: Container fires the event. Child caughts it. Then should be created the connection between container and it's child. BUT, the only thing I could acheive is passing a reference to the Container in the DynamicEvent. Is there any chance that I could access the child at the event-handler function. Or maybe there's more elegant way to solve this problem ... Any help would be greately appreciated :)

    I'm doing some indexing and memory is sufficient but CPU isn't. So I have one huge dictionary and then a smaller dictionary I'm merging into the bigger one: big_dict = {"the" : {"1" : 1, "2" : 1, "3" : 1, "4" : 1, "5" : 1}} smaller_dict = {"the" : {"6" : 1, "7" : 1}} #after merging resulting_dict = {"the" : {"1" : 1, "2" : 1, "3" : 1, "4" : 1, "5" : 1, "6" : 1, "7" : 1}} My question is for the values in both dicts, should I use a dict (as displayed above) or list (as displayed below) when my priority is to use as much memory as possible to gain the most out of my CPU? For clarification, using a list would look like: big_dict = {"the" : [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]} smaller_dict = {"the" : [6,7]} #after merging resulting_dict = {"the" : [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7]} Side note: The reason I'm using a dict nested into a dict rather than a set nested in a dict is because JSON won't let me do json.dumps because a set isn't key/value pairs, it's (as far as the JSON library is concerned) {"a", "series", "of", "keys"} Also, after choosing between using dict to a list, how would I go about implementing the most efficient, in terms of CPU, method of merging them? So, if I pass in 2 as my LocationID, I should get: Date | NumProductsDelivered | NumPermanentEmployees | NumSupportEmployees 10/10 | | 1 | 11/10 | 1 | 2 | 1 12/10 | 1 | 2 | 1 It seems like this should be a pretty simple query. I really don't even need the first table except as a way to fill in the combo box on the form from which the user chooses which location they want a report for. Unfortunately, everything I've done has resulted in me getting a lot more data than I should be getting. My confusion is in how to set up the join (presumably that's what I'm looking for here) given that I want both the date and locationID to be the same for each row in the result set.     I'd like to do the following with Python: Computer 1 starts SSH server (probably using twisted or paramiko) Computer 1 connects to Server 1 (idle connection) Computer 2 connects to Server 1 Server 1 forwards Computer 2's connection to Computer 1 (connection no longer idle) Computer 1 forwards Server 1's connection to listening SSH port (on computer 1) Result being Computer 2 now has a SSH session with Computer 1, almost as if Computer 2 had started a normal SSH session (but with Server 1's IP instead of Computer 1's) I need this because I can't port forward on Computer 1's network (the router doesn't support it).

    We have created a Driver programe which connect to a remote host using FTP and mount the remote host as a network drive. So when I try to copy some data it copies using FTP retrieve request and then paste it to the destination. The copy paste works fine as we can see the source file size and destination size are same. But while we try to open the .jpg file that is being copied , says no preview. I suspect there must be some bytes that is being corrupted while we try to copy and paste. Is there any tools so that I can compare both source and destination to get the differences.

    I wrote a function to check whether a word is palindrome or not but "unexpectedly", that function failed quite badly, here it is: bool isPalindrome (const string& s){ string reverse = ""; string original = s; for (string_sz i = 0; i != original.size(); ++i){ reverse += original.back(); original.pop_back(); } if (reverse == original) return true; else return false; } It gives me "string iterator offset out of range error" when you pass in a string with only one character and returns true even if we pass in an empty string (although I know its because of the intialisation of the reverse variable) and also when you pass in an unassigned string for example: string input; isPalindrome(input); Later, I found a better function which works as you would expect: bool found(const string& s) { bool found = true; for (string::const_iterator i = s.begin(), j = s.end() - 1; i < j; ++i, --j) { if (*i != *j) found = false; } return found; } Unlike the first function, this function correctly fails when you give it an unassigned string variable or an empty string and works for single characters and such... So, good people of stackoverflow please point out to me why the first function is so bad... Thank You.
