It is very much in lines of subclipse for svn or any other code comparison tools.   • Disable Flex CSS type selector warning?

    I'm building a somewhat large Flex project that includes several modules (a single Flex project that produces multiple SWFs) Right now, I have a single css file, being loaded in the main SWF tag: <s:Application ... > <fx:Style source="css/main.css" /> ... </s:Application> In the CSS file: /* CSS file */ @namespace s "library://ns.adobe.com/flex/spark"; s|Panel { skinClass: ClassReference("com.skins.DefaultPanelSkin"); } s|Button { skinClass: ClassReference("com.skins.DefaultButtonSkin"); } The CSS file is not referenced anywhere else. I have currently 6 modules (plus the main SWF, a total of 7 SWFs). I've noticed that the number of warnings is correlated to the number of modules...every time I add a module, I get more warnings. Right now, I get 6 warnings for every entry in the CSS file, so: CSS type selectors are not supported in components: 'Panel' CSS type selectors are not supported in components: 'Panel' CSS type selectors are not supported in components: 'Panel' CSS type selectors are not supported in components: 'Panel' CSS type selectors are not supported in components: 'Panel' CSS type selectors are not supported in components: 'Panel' And repeat for Button, TextArea, etc etc. I have so many useless warnings, it is impossible to see if there are any valid ones. Is this warning caused by something I'm doing wrong? The styles are all being applied correctly and appears to work just the way I want at runtime. If I'm doing nothing wrong, can I tell the compiler to ignore this warning? NOTE: I've tried the -show-unused-type-selector-warnings=false compiler flag, and it does not work...that's for a similar but different warning.

    So I know that I can communicate between those two using JSON, but I also know that I would have to manually recreate all Django objects in JS. Do you know of any tool or library that could help me do that? Or maybe even a better way of achieving the same goal?   • Can't change pivot table's Access data source - bug in Excel 2000 SP3?

    I have a set of Excel 2000 SP3 worksheets that have Pivot Tables that get data from an Access 2000 SP3 database created by a contractor who left our company. Unfortunately, he did all his work on his private area on the company (Novell) network and now that he has left us, the drive spec has been deleted and is invalid. We were able to get the database files restored to our network area by our IT Service Desk people, but we now have to re-link everything to point to our group area instead of the now-nonexistent private area. If I follow the advice given elsewhere on this site (open wizard, click 'Back' to get to 'Step 2 of 3', click 'Get Data...' I get a message that the old filespec is an invalid path and I need to check that the path name is invalid and that I am connected to the server on which the file resides. I then click on OK and get a Login dialog with a 'Database...' button on the right. I click this and get a 'Select Database' dialog which allows me to choose the appropriate database in its correct new location. I then click OK, which takes me back to the 'Login' screen. I can confirm that it has accepted my new location by clicking on 'Database...' as before and the NEW location is still shown. So far so good - but if I then click on OK I get two unhelpful messages - first I get one saying that Excel 'Could not use '|'; file already in use.' - although no other files are in use. Clicking on OK takes me back to the 'Login' dialog. Clicking OK again gives me the same message as before telling me that the OLD filespec is invalid (as if I hadn't changed anything) - but clicking on the 'Database...' button shows that the correct (NEW) database location is still selected. Can anyone tell me a way of using VBA to change the link information without having to spend hours fighting the PivotTable Wizard - preferably similar to this way you update an Access Tabledef:- db.TableDefs(strLinkName).Connect = strNewLink db.TableDefs(strLinkName).RefreshLink Thanks!

    Hi I have a horizontal scrolling site that uses jquery to reverse the mouse axis on the scroll wheel on the mouse. This works fine on every browser apart from safari.     Hi, I'm using MS AJAX's accordion control. It works fine normally, but I can't seem to get it to work with an UpdatePanel.   • setAttribute, onClick and cross browser compatability...

    I have read a number of posts about this but none with any solid answer. Here is my code: // button creation onew = document.createElement('input'); onew.setAttribute("type", "button"); onew.setAttribute("value", "hosts"); onew.onclick = function(){fnDisplay_Computers("'" + alines[i] + "'"); }; // ie onew.setAttribute("onclick", "fnDisplay_Computers('" + alines[i] + "')"); // mozilla odiv.appendChild(onew); Now, the setAttribute() method (with the mozilla comment) works fine in mozilla but only if it comes AFTER the line above it. So in other words it seems to just default to whichever gets set last. The .onclick method (with the ie comment) does not work in either case, am I using it incorrectly? Either way I can't find a way to make this work at all in IE, let alone in both. I did change the function call when using the .onclick method and it worked fine using just a simple call to an alert function which is why I believe my syntax is incorrect. Long story short, I can't get the onclick parameter to work consistently between IE/Mozilla. -- Nicholas

I need something like this: alert($("a#link1").offset().left); How can I get the object ID from objCaller?

  • Change UIButton Background Image more than once per second

    I am currently working with the iPhone SDK. I have a NSTimer that changes the background image of a UIButton. Once this is complete, it will trigger the same action again (reset the NSTimer) for a predetermined number of times. My problem is that if my NSTimer is set to execute more than once per second. (0.75, say) The background image wont change. I am using NSLog to check that the event fires. But the button image will just remain in its original state. Is there any way to change the background image more often than once per second? This is my timer : [NSTimer scheduledTimerWithTimeInterval: tmpLvlSpeed target: self selector: @selector(simPressRed:) userInfo: nil repeats: NO]; And the code to change the image: [btnRed setImage:[UIImage imageNamed:@"btn_red.png"] forState:UIControlStateNormal]; if tmpLvlSpeed is less than 1.0, the button image will never change. Even though the simPressRed function will still fire. Any clues? Is there an update cycle I can modify?

"Allow more entries to be displayed in the view: When the user clicks more, additional entries should be displayed in addition to the ones which are already displayed. The code should cause the UI to scroll such that the first entry of the "more" set is on top". I am using com.ibm.rcp.browser.service.WebBrowser which is similar to SWT WebBrowser.

  • A good way in .NET Winforms to have user entered time frame?

    Hi, Does anyone know of a good way to have a user enter an amount of time (hours and minutes) using winforms controls? At the moment I have two numeric up downs, one for time and one for minutes that I then parse to create a timespan. The only other idea I have is a text box that a user can enter a "00:00" time in, and validate the input. Both of these ways seem a bit bad (in UI terms) though. Any ideas? Thanks

    I'm having difficultly adding querystring parameters to link_to UrlHelper. I have an Index view, for example, that has UI elements for sorting, filtering, and pagination (via will_paginate). The will_paginate plugin manages the intra-page persistence of querystring parameters correctly. Is there an automatic mechanism to add the querystring parameters to a give named route, or do I need to do so manually? A great deal of research on this seemingly simple construct has left me clueless.

    I'm trying to find a bug in an old ASP.NET application which causes IE8 to not be able to click on the following "button" area in our application: <td width="150px" class="ctl00_CP1_UiCommandManager1i toolBarItem" valign="middle" onmouseout="onMouseOverCommand(this,1,'ctl00_CP1_UiCommandManager1',0,0);" onmouseover="onMouseOverCommand(this,0,'ctl00_CP1_UiCommandManager1',0,0);" onmousedown="onMouseDownCommand(this, 'ctl00_CP1_UiCommandManager1', 0, 0);" onmouseup="onMouseUpCommand(this, 'ctl00_CP1_UiCommandManager1', 0, 0);" id="ctl00_CP1_UiCommandManager1_0_0"> <span style="width:100%;overflow:hidden;text-overflow:ellipsis;vertical-align:middle;white-space:nowrap;"> NEW </span> </td> When we switch IE8 to IE7 compatibility mode, the problem disappears, IE7 is able to click on it. Since the above HTML is generated by a third party control (Janus, http://www.janusys.com/controls), we don't have the source code. has anyone experienced any similar problems with IE8? I've determined that it actually fires the onMouseDownCommand command also the CSS of the button area is different in IE8, it doesn't have color shading that it does in IE7. I can imagine that somewhere the HTML is not valid and IE8 being stricter is not playing along, but where? any advice on how to narrow in on this bug welcome ANSWER: Turned out to be that the application was not checking the navigator.agent for "MSIE 8.0" and was thus treating IE8 has a non-Internet-Explorer browser. Thanks Lazarus for the tip, the IE8 Javascript debugger is very nice, like a Firebug for IE, will be using it more!

    I am working on outlook add-in project using Visual studio 2008 for MS Outlook 2007 in C#. Here I am explaining my problem... I got multiple accounts (3 Accounts) with my outlook 2007. I need to get accounts form Account box in New Mail Message window. When we click New Mail Message, a new window will appear from which we can send a new mail. Here (On this window) we can see Account Dropdown (Left side) under the Send Button. If we have multiple accounts with outlook, we can see all the accounts in Account Drop Down if we click on Account Box. If we click on the particular email, a right mark will appear to that Email Account and a message can bee seen on the top of the Send button is "This message will be sent via [email protected]". So, I want to get these email accounts into a string and that particular email account (which has right mark) into another string. I got these 3 email accounts into a string. But, I am not getting the particular email account(which has the right mark when we send a new email).     After running chkdsk C: /F /R and finding out that my hard disk has 24 KB in bad sectors (log is posted below), I decided to run Windows 7's System File Checker utility (sfc /scannow). SFC showed the ff. message after I ran it: "Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them. Details are included in the CBS.Log windir\Logs\CBS\CBS.log." Since the CBS.log file is too large, I ran findstr /c:"[SR]" %windir%\Logs\CBS\CBS.log >"%userprofile%\Desktop\sfcdetails.txt" (as per Microsoft's KB 928228 article) to only get the log text pertaining to the corrupt files.
