  • running python script with cron

    hey guys, im trying to run a python script after every 5 minutes using cron, inside the script is a django import import django when running the crontab i get mailed the following error ImportError: No module named django this is what the crontab file looks like: [email protected] */5 * * * * /usr/bin/python /Users/paulo/Desktop/ashtanga/ping/sender.py do anyone of you know whats causing this ? btw i do have django insalled version 1.2, python 2.6, and MacOX 10.6

    Any ideas on how to create a cover that has alpha 100 but is able to let a button behind it be touched, and an action to be called. i dont want to apply the action to the cover, nor change the buttons image - as a convaluted set up is required for each one. any ideas? what im after is effective not a see-through button, but a touch through button...     Hello, I have declared my own type: data Book = Bookinfo { bookId :: Int, title :: String } deriving(Show) and now: x = Bookinfo it is all ok, valid statement but making bookId x throws an error. If I would be able to handle errors in Haskell that would be ok but right now I cant do this So Im curious how to make not specified values of fields take default value, and what exactly value is there when I'm not giving vcalues of fields in construcotr ? thanks for help

  • facebook XFBML is not rendering in IE8

    I put up this test page to illustrate this issue: http://pix-all.com/fb-test.htm Every Browser i've tested on has worked but in IE8. The odd part is that IE8 doesn't even report an error, WOW, and that is something. So right now im stuck with to nothing to work on or debug.   • iPad OpenGL ES FPS too slow!

    I'm currently working on an OpenGL ES 1.1 app for the iPad its running at full 768x1024 iPad resolution, with textures, polygons, and the works but only at about 30 fps! (not fast enough for my purposes) im pretty sure its not my code, because when i lowered the resolution, the FPS increased, eventually the normal 60 at iPod touch resoultion Is anyone else encountering this FPS slowdown? should I reduce the size then scale up? any guidance is much appreciated!

    Hi there, I was wondering if anyone could offer some advice on 'best practices' for using global state in a web application - specifically PHP, although im looking for generic best practices i.e. design patterns etc. At the moment I just use a static class, calling it Configs. I suppose this is similar to using the registry pattern but surely there is a more elegant way of handling global data within an application - i just cant think of a better way though.
