  • Emacs persistent folding mode

    There are plenty of ways to fold code in Emacs and I've settled in on using the outline minor mode... it works great! However, I really want my folding to be persisted when I close and re-open files. It is quite frustrating to have folding set up in a file the way I like it, only to have that lost when I restart Emacs. Has anyone found a way to keep the folding state of a file persistent?

  • CSS Inclusion Problem

    I have a jsp page with a couple of CSS files included. In this, each CSS has separately defined styles for table. The problem is that I need those different styles for different tables and I'm unable to differentiate them and the menu's css styles get overlapped with the new css style. How can I avoid this problem; the menu.jsp has been included into another page. Is there a way to avoid overriding of the styles?

Qt Creator treats them as keywords, but are they simply a set of macros, or is a special pre-processor required before these source files can be compiled? In other words, if I use Qt's signal/slot features in my code, can I easily compile it on any C++ compiler?

    Hi Iam developing an image viewer application just like irfan-view or acdsee which should be capable to view lots of different image file formats (not just the standard ones which can be done with System.Drawing.Image). Iam currently using ImageMagick but it isn't very fast and seems to be unstable with some image files. Can anyone suggest a good imaging library, ideally with a .NET wrapper already present?

  • Amazon EC2 php/fedora htaccess mod_rewrite not working

    Amazon EC2 with Fedora, there are 2 instances of the httpd conf, the doc root is automatically set as /home/webuser/helloworld/conf/httpd.conf and the default (which is also there) is /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf . Mod rewrite is enabled with both, we are in drupal, the .htaccess is in the folder it needs to be (on Drupal) and it loads the homepage and other static files fine, but it WILL not use htaccess. Any thoughts?

The problem is that it creates them under owner 99 99 (nobody) and after I can't delete or modify them by FTP without the help of the server admin. I think that is move_uploaded_file function of php. Is there any solution of this problem by the WHM or by the server admin? Can I modify the default owner in ftp?

  • HttpClient response handler always returns closed stream

    I'm new to Java development so please bear with me. Also, I hope I'm not the champion of tl;dr :). I'm using HttpClient to make requests over Http (duh!) and I'd gotten it to work for a simple servlet that receives an URL as a query string parameter. I realized that my code could use some refactoring, so I decided to make my own HttpResponseHandler, to clean up the code, make it reusable and improve exception handling. I currently have something like this: public class HttpResponseHandler implements ResponseHandler<InputStream>{ public InputStream handleResponse(HttpResponse response) throws ClientProtocolException, IOException { int statusCode = response.getStatusLine().getStatusCode(); InputStream in = null; if (statusCode != HttpStatus.SC_OK) { throw new HttpResponseException(statusCode, null); } else { HttpEntity entity = response.getEntity(); if (entity != null) { in = entity.getContent(); // This works // for (int i;(i = in.read()) >= 0;) System.out.print((char)i); } } return in; } } And in the method where I make the actual request: HttpClient httpclient = new DefaultHttpClient(); HttpGet httpget = new HttpGet(target); ResponseHandler<InputStream> httpResponseHandler = new HttpResponseHandler(); try { InputStream in = httpclient.execute(httpget, httpResponseHandler); // This doesn't work // for (int i;(i = in.read()) >= 0;) System.out.print((char)i); return in; } catch (HttpResponseException e) { throw new HttpResponseException(e.getStatusCode(), null); } The problem is that the input stream returned from the handler is closed. I don't have any idea why, but I've checked it with the prints in my code (and no, I haven't used them both at the same time :). While the first print works, the other one gives a closed stream error. I need InputStreams, because all my other methods expect an InputStream and not a String. Also, I want to be able to retrieve images (or maybe other types of files), not just text files. I can work around this pretty easily by giving up on the response handler (I have a working implementation that doesn't use it), but I'm pretty curious about the following: Why does it do what it does? How do I open the stream, if something closes it? What's the right way to do this, anyway :)? I've checked the docs and I couldn't find anything useful regarding this issue.     So a lot of web apps have the customer choose their own subdomain, ie mycompany.webapp.com Presumably, every subdomain works off the same set of files and the unique subdomain is perhaps stored as a session object. So how does the URL rewriting work? If someone goes to mycompany.webapp.com, you have to rewrite their unique address to a dynamic page to set the session variable, ie webapp.com/mypage.php?cusomer=mycompany But then when you redirected, you'd be at webapp.com/theappdirectory/ and not mycompany.webapp.com/ So how do they do it?
