  I am working on a website, in which I am retrieving XML data from an external URL, using the following code WebRequest req = WebRequest.Create("External server url"); req.Proxy = new System.Net.WebProxy("proxyUrl:8080", true); req.Proxy.Credentials = CredentialCache.DefaultCredentials; WebResponse resp = req.GetResponse(); StreamReader textReader = new StreamReader(resp.GetResponseStream()); XmlTextReader xmlReader = new XmlTextReader(textReader); XmlDocument xmlDoc = new XmlDocument(); xmlDoc.Load(xmlReader); This code is working fine on my development PC (Windows XP with .Net 3.5) But when I deploy this code to IIS (Both at Windows XP and at Windows Server 2003) it's giving me following error "The remote server returned an error: (407) Proxy Authentication Required." Sometimes it gives me "The remote server returned an error: (502) Bad Gateway." • Android "single top" launch mode and onNewIntent method

  I read in the Android documentation that by setting my Activity's launchMode property to singleTop OR by adding the FLAG_ACTIVITY_SINGLE_TOP flag to my Intent, that calling startActivity(intent) would reuse a single Activity instance and give me the Intent in the onNewIntent callback. I did both of these things, and onNewIntent never fires and onCreate fires every time. The docs also say that this.getIntent() returns the intent that was first passed to the Activity when it was first created. In onCreate I'm calling getIntent and I'm getting a new one every time (I'm creating the intent object in another activity and adding an extra to it...this extra should be the same every time if it was returning me the same intent object). All this leads me to believe that my activity is not acting like a "single top", and I don't understand why. To add some background in case I'm simply missing a required step, here's my Activity declaration in the manifest and the code I'm using to launch the activity. • Ado.net dataservices BeginExecuteBatch call works on development fails on production server with Obj

  We have an ado.net dataservices 1.0 call that is being passed to a [WebGet] service operation as a batch through BeginExecuteBatch. Everything works perfectly on our development server - we have the project configured to use IIS instead of the cassini web server to make it as close to our production server as we can. When we publish to the production server, all the service operations work perfectly except the batch call, which fails with Object does not match target type. . I have not been able to find any cause for this. I can even run a single non-batch style GET operation against the [WebGet] service by copying the URL used in the batch and pasting it in a browser. I have not been able to find any information to help me solve this - any guidance would be most appreciated. Thanks, Mike M.   I'm using RabbitMQ on RHEL 5.3 using the Java client. I have 2 nodes (machines). Node1 is consuming messages from a queue on Node2 using the Java helper class QueueingConsumer. QueueingConsumer consumer = new QueueingConsumer(channel); channel.basicConsume("MyQueueOnNode2", noAck, consumer); while (true) { QueueingConsumer.Delivery delivery = consumer.nextDelivery(); ... Process message - delivery.getBody() } If the interface is brought down on Node1 or Node2 (e.g. ifconfig eth1 down), the client (above) never knows the network isn't there anymore. Does RabbitMQ provide some type of configuration on the Java client that can be used to determine if the connection has gone away. Shutting down the RabbitMQ server on Node2 will trigger a ShutdownSignalException, which can be caught and the app can go into a reconnect loop. But bringing down the interface doesn't cause any type of exception to happen, so the code will be waiting forever on consumer.nextDelivery(). I've also tried using the timeout version of this call. e.g. QueueingConsumer consumer = new QueueingConsumer(channel); channel.basicConsume("MyQueueOnNode2", noAck, consumer); int timeout_ms = 30000; while (true) { QueueingConsumer.Delivery delivery = consumer.nextDelivery(timeout_ms); if (delivery == null) { if (channel.isOpen() == false) // Seems to always return true { throw new ShutdownSignalException(); } } else { ... Process message - delivery.getBody() } } but appears that this always returns true (even though the interface is down). I assume registering for the ShutdownListener on the connection will yield the same results, but haven't tried that yet. Is there a way to configure some sort of heartbeat, or do you just have to write custom lease logic (e.g. "I'm here now") in order to get this to work?

  Hi all: I've been trying to programmatically copy custom content type and its custom columns from one web to another for some time now, and every time I get some sort of error or exception. After yet more tries, I received another strange and cryptic exception from Sharepoint after clicking onto a newly copied custom column in a custom content type. I checked the logs, and this is what I got: Failed to find the content type schema for ct-1033-0x1000blahblahblahcontenttypeId while caching feature data. Unknown SPRequest error occurred. More informationL 0x8000ffff Unable to locate the xml-definition for CType with SPContentTypeId '0x0100MorecontenttypeId', exception: Microsoft.SharePoint.SPException: Catastrophic failure(Exception from HRESULT: 0x8000FFFF (E_UNEXPECTED)) ---> System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException (0x8000FFFF): Catastrophic failure... ... at Microsoft.SharePoint.Library.SPRequestInternalClass.GetGlobalContentTypeXml(String bstrUrl, Int32 type, UInt 32 lcid, Object varIdBytes... It failed to find quite a few content type schema. I'm confused with what Sharepoint is trying to do here, and why a simple process of copying a custom content type from one web to another just wouldn't work in contrast to the information found on the web e.g. this.   Hello, probably I don't understand the layout properties of TableLayout yet. It doesn't seem to be possible to achieve such a flexible table like in HTML, because there are no cells. My target is it to achieve such a layout: Link to draft How can I do that? I thought about using a GridView but this doesn't seem to be useful in XML. • AndroMDA maven code generation and JPA Annotations

  I am using the AndroMDA plugin for maven to generate code from an uml diagram made in MagicDraw. When the code is generated, AndroMDA desings the JPA annotation for the persitence layer. I think that at the compilation process AndroMDA uses Naming Strategies to determine the Table and Column names for the DataBase. I want to determine how AndroMDA desings this JPA annotations, because I need to display this DataBase names based on the UML entity and atributtes names. I was regarding if there is an API of AndroMDA that I could use to do this by giving it the uml diagram. Or at least, to know the Naming Strategies used by AndroMDA to achive that. AndroMDA at the compilation process design the JPA annotations for the Entities, Attributes, etc that are written in my java classes under a series of rules that exist within the EJB3 cartridge of AndroMDA. (The further Database is created using those JPA annotations). I want to create a program that returns me the same Table and Attributes names wrote on the JPA annotations, by giving it the .xml file of the uml diagram of a project. I was hoping that I could take advantage of the EJB3 cartridge to generate those Tables and Attribute names with my program. One way could be using an API of AndroMDA that do this(if it exits), or at least, by implementing the same rules used by the EJB3 cartridge for that matter. To be more illustrative, For example: If in my uml model I have an Entity called “CompanyGroup”, AndroMDA would generate the following code for the class definition: @javax.persistence.Entity @javax.persistence.Table(name = "COMPANY_GR") Public class CompanyGroup implements java.io.Serializable, Comparable< CompanyGroup This is just an example (not a real case), but nevertheless, the way how AndroMDA do the translation from “CompanyGroup” to “COMPANY_GR” has to be specified somewhere. • Resource not found using library project in Android

  I'm converting an existing project into a library project. I configured the original project as a library project and added an application project which references the original project as a library. The library project has an activity (MainActivity) and its layout (main.xml). The application project declares this activity as the main activity in the manifest like this: <activity android:name="com.example.MainActivity" android:label="@string/app_name"> <intent-filter> <action android:name="android.intent.action.MAIN" /> <category android:name="android.intent.category.LAUNCHER" /> </intent-filter> </activity> When I run the application project I get the following error... android.content.res.Resources$NotFoundException: Resource ID #0x7f030002 ...on the following line of the onCreate method of the main activity: setContentView(R.layout.main); 0x7f030002 is the ID of R.layout.main in the library project. The application project has no main resource. If I run the original project I don't get this error. Both projects neither have compilation errors nor warnings and are built with Android 2.2 with min SDK version 3. What might be the problem?

  We have been handed a set of test sertificates on smart cards for developing a solution that requires XML messages to be signed using PKI. Each (physical) smart card seems to have two certificates stored on it. I import them into the Windows certificate store using software supplied by the smart card provider, and then use code resembling the following to iterate over the installed certificates: foreach (X509Certificate2 x509 in CertStore.Certificates) { foreach (X509Extension extension in x509.Extensions) { if (extension.Oid.Value == "one we are interested in") { X509KeyUsageExtension ext = (X509KeyUsageExtension)extension; if ((ext.KeyUsages & X509KeyUsageFlags.DigitalSignature) != X509KeyUsageFlags.None) { // process certs here We have been told to use the certificates that have the NonRepudiation key usage flag set to sign the XMLs. However, the certificate that has the NonRepudiation flag has this flag only, and not for instance the DigitalSignature flag which I check for above. Does this strike anyone but me as slightly odd? I am in other words told to sign with a certificate that does not (appear to) have the DigitalSignature usage flag set. Is this normal procedure? Any comments? Thanks.

  Hello Community, I successfully send Mails via SMTP using my Rails App and my Postfix Server. Now I need to move to an Exchange: Microsoft ESMTP MAIL Service, Version: 6.0.3790.3959 that has POP3 and SMTP support enabled. I use actionmailer 1.2.5 and am not able to successfully login to the server while trying to send a mail. In case I use Mail.app sending and recieving works fine as long as I change the authentication schema to "Password". • In Asp.Net MVC 2 is there a better way to return 401 status codes without getting an auth redirect

  I have a portion of my site that has a lightweight xml/json REST API. Most of my site is behind forms auth but only some of my API actions require authentication. I have a custom AuthorizeAttribute for my API that I use to check for certain permissions and when it fails it results in a 401. All is good, except since I'm using forms auth, Asp.net conveniently converts that into a 302 redirect to my login page. I've seen some previous questions that seem a bit hackish to either return a 403 instead or to put some logic in the global.asax protected void Application_EndRequest() that will essentially convert 302 to 401 where it meets whatever criteria. Previous Question Previous Question 2 What I'm doing now is sort of like one of the questions, but instead of checking the Application_EndRequest() for a 302 I make my authorize attribute return 666 which indicates to me that I need to set this to a 401.   Hi, I have a unexpected problem. I had create a war with grails war. Then I had deployed in Tomcat. For my surprise the crud works fine but I don't know what persistence is using. So I did this test: Compare grails prod run-app with grails prod run-war. The first works fine, and does conect with the mysql database. The other don't. • Write-only collections in MongoDB

  I'm currently using MongoDB to record application logs, and while I'm quite happy with both the performance and with being able to dump arbitrary structured data into log records, I'm troubled by the mutability of log records once stored. In a traditional database, I would structure the grants for my log tables such that the application user had INSERT and SELECT privileges, but not UPDATE or DELETE. Similarly, in CouchDB, I could write a update validator function that rejected all attempts to modify an existing document. However, I've been unable to find a way to restrict operations on a MongoDB database or collection beyond the three access levels (no access, read-only, "god mode") documented in the security topic on the MongoDB wiki. Has anyone else deployed MongoDB as a document store in a setting where immutability (or at least change tracking) for documents was a requirement? What tricks or techniques did you use to ensure that poorly-written or malicious application code could not modify or destroy existing log records? Do I need to wrap my MongoDB logging in a service layer that enforces the write-only policy, or can I use some combination of configuration, query hacking, and replication to ensure a consistent, audit-able record is maintained?

• Android: Map Overlay Labels

  I am building a MapView and I want my custom overlay items to display the name of the location they are marking when the user taps them, like the Android Maps app. I setup the onTap listener and the floating TextView to hold the location name. I still need to set it up so that it redraws the label when the user moves the map, etc. Anyway, I am wondering if I am reinventing the wheel here. Is there a built-in method I am unaware of? I would think that most implementations of MapView have labels. • ExtJs - Set a fixed width in a center layout in a Panel

  Hi all, Using ExtJs. I'm trying to design a main which is divided into three sub panels (a tree list, a grid and a panel). The way it works is that you have a tree list (west) with elements, you click on an element which populates the grid (center), then you click on an element in the grid and that generates the panel (west). My main panel containing the three other ones has been defined with a layout 'border'. Now the problem I face is that the center layout (the grid) has been defined in the code with a fixed width and the west panel as an auto width. But when the interface gets generated, the grid width is suddenly taking all the space in the interface instead of the west panel. The 'exploits_tree' is the tree list containing some elements. When you click on one of the elements the grid 'exploit_commands' gets populated and when you click in one of the populated elements, the 'exploits_details_panel' panel gets generated.
