  • unrecognized selector sent to instance on deviceOrientationDidChange

    Right now my app should only supports Portrait. On Summary/Supported Device Orientations I have only selected Portrait so I'm hoping that my app will not rotate. I was testing the app on a device and suddenly I'm getting the following error randomly: [UIButtonContent deviceOrientationDidChange:]: unrecognized selector sent to instance It happens when I rotate the device SOMETIMES, is not consistent, and is not always over UIBUttonContent. I supposed that if I only select Portrait, deviceOrientationDidChange should not be called or should be ignored. Other times my app crashes with an EXC_BAD_ACCESS (code=1, address=something) but it happens when I rotate the device so I'm guessing that both errors are related. I don't know what to do with this, it's hard to debug because I don't have feedback, the All Exceptions Breakpoint is not being called, so I don't know where and exactly why this is happening. Any idea on how to debug this is welcome.

    I'm trying to compile freetds according to these instructions: http://www.mavrick.id.au/2012/php-5-3-6-mssql-freetds/ However configure is failing. My command is: ./configure --enable-msdblib -–prefix=/usr/local/freetds I'm getting configure: error: unrecognized option: `-–prefix=/usr/local/freetds' Try `./configure --help' for more information. for all command line options, even --help I have build-essentials, gcc and make installed. I also tried sudo, even though I am logged in as root. It seems to me something is still missing?

  • Bluetooth adapter turned from working fine to unrecognized

    i had been using bluetooth fine, with devices working, but today when i turned on my computer again bluetooth strangely failed. there is a bluetooth icon on the top bar, showing "bluetooth on", but if i click on the "bluetooth settings" item, a system settings window shows up and shows me a bluetooth on-off switch which is disabled (i.e. fixed to off). more information about my case: i am a new linux used, coming from windows, and do not know supposedly-obvious commands. i am using a laptop. it initially doesn't have bluetooth. i bought a built-in type (instead of USB type) bluetooth module, and added it inside the laptop. hence, i do not have a specific FN+* key for bluetooth. in windows, i needed to install an additional driver that was intended for other machines in my laptop's seires which have built-in (i.e. factoryly built-in)j bluetooth modules. the Fn+* key seemed to only affect wifi under ubuntu. i have been successfully using magicmouse with my later-added built-in bluetooth module/adapter on both windows and ubuntu i have been trying to tweak the magicmouse scrolling speed with commands rmmod something, modprobe hid_magicmouse --scroll_speed=45 --scroll_acceleration=30 or something, then added a file `/etc/modprobe.d/magicmouse.conf". the mouse seemed to be working fine with these changes. now if i run commands like hcitool dev, the shell tells me that i do not have any "Devices" or "adapters". i seem to have bluez installed, because when i type "blue" then tab-autocomplete, a bunch of commands like bluez-test-device pops up. -- update -- some commands and their results: easoncxz@eason-Aspire-4741-ubuntu:/etc$ hcitool dev Devices: easoncxz@eason-Aspire-4741-ubuntu:/etc$ hcitool scan Device is not available: No such device easoncxz@eason-Aspire-4741-ubuntu:/etc$ rfkill list 0: phy0: Wireless LAN Soft blocked: no Hard blocked: no 1: acer-wireless: Wireless LAN Soft blocked: no Hard blocked: no 2: acer-bluetooth: Bluetooth Soft blocked: no Hard blocked: no easoncxz@eason-Aspire-4741-ubuntu:/etc$ rfkill list 0: phy0: Wireless LAN Soft blocked: yes Hard blocked: no 1: acer-wireless: Wireless LAN Soft blocked: yes Hard blocked: no 2: acer-bluetooth: Bluetooth Soft blocked: yes Hard blocked: no

    I just installed a fresh copy of Ubuntu 12.04, and before I installed drivers, I was able to get my two monitor setup working just fine. However, after updating all my drivers and installing all the recommended software, my second display is no longer detected. My main display is called "Laptop" (which it was detected as the monitor name previously), but it is the only display listed. I tried to detect displays, nothing happened. The monitor is plugged in, and should be working fine - after all, it just was. How can I fix the problem of Ubuntu not listing my second monitor in the display settings?

  • USB Device Not Recognized (Mac)

    Fortunately, my Mac-pro also made one of my USB storage devices inoperable. My data loss in that USB device but such as another USB device and USB keyboard are unaffected. I have heard that my friend usually trigger this problem by having at least two devices plugged in - typically thumb drives/USB flash drives, and then once a second flash drive is plugged in that become unrecognized. I have only two USB ports and first I think port loose when I connect two USB devices. But later I found these hidden files (“.Spotlight-V100”, “.TemporaryItems”, “.Trashes”, and “._.Trashes”) are created by Mac OS. And before unrecognized that USB device I have deleted these files and my friend had also done the same action. Now I don’t want to test for next USB device to become unrecognized and I won’t deleted any hidden system file inside the flash drives. But I really want to know why these problems happened. Can I delete these hidden files when I only connect to virtual machine (Vista), because I used to delete all useless hidden files from USB flash drives? Any suggestions or thoughts to prevent this or alternative suggestions to fix the problem that take lossless would be much appreciated.

  • Unrecognized file format .mdb in Microsoft Access -- repair doesn't fix it

    So what I have is a file from a staff computer that I believe is an access file b/c its called .mdb, however it does not open! I even tried to follow the repair steps (create a new file and use the "compact and repair" tool. and all I keep getting is "unrecognized file format *.mdb" (replace the * with the filename). I am not even sure it is an access file. I have tried using Office 2007 and office 2010 but neither work. Is there a way to fix this that is not on the Microsoft website? Or to determine whether this is actually an access file and not some other file with the extension renamed? Any help would be appricated, thanks.

  • Saving gzipped string into Sqlite3 via Rails throws unrecognized token error

    Hi, I'm using rails 2.3 and I'm trying to compress (gzip) text that I'd like to save using ActiveRecord into a sqlite database. However, the compressed text isn't being saved b/c I get this type of error: SQLite3::SQLException: unrecognized token: "'x##U?#7 Any thoughts on what I can do to avoid this error? should I compress the text in some other fashion? should I save the data using some other method(s)?   • iPhone: understanding field crash reports: unrecognized selector?

    Hi all, A user of my app out in the field seems to having bad crash-at-app-start issues. I got him to send me the .crash files from his PC. After "symbolicating" them according to this article, I get what looks from the stack like a unrecognized selector fail. But the top line of code corresponding to my process is an unambiguous message send that gets executed hundreds of times without issue in my app normally. Needless to say, I never repro this issue myself. Can the crash report lie? Could this stack indicate anything besides unrecognized selector? Thanks for any insight.     Ok, I've spend like half day on this and it's killing me. So I've got 3 view controllers transitioning from one another, something like this: I call the UploadDecisionViewController after destroying the previous View Controller: [self dismissModalViewControllerAnimated:YES]; [self performSelector:@selector(showUDModalView) withObject:nil afterDelay:0.5]; In my showUDModalView method: - (void)showUDModalView { UploadDecisionViewController *udcontroller = [[UploadDecisionViewController alloc] initWithNibName:@"UploadDecisionViewController" bundle:nil]; udcontroller.delegate = self; [self presentModalViewController:udcontroller animated:YES]; [udcontroller release]; } The UploadDecisionViewController shows up no problem. The UploadDecisionViewController has a button, which when clicked I want it to transition to the FileUploadViewController.     Hi all, I am in need of some help with an error message I get with Microsoft Visual Web Developer 2010 Express. I would like to create a gallery for my site so I downloaded the NotesForGallery from codeplex. I have added the reference into the project like it told me to in the installation instructions.     Upon compiling, I am getting the following error: C:\UDK\UDK-2010-03\Development\Src\FixIt\Classes\ZInteraction.uc(41) : Error, Unrecognized member 'OpenMenu' in class 'GameUISceneClient' Line 41 is the following: GetSceneClient().OpenMenu("ZInterface.ZNLGWindow"); But when I search for OpenMenu, I find that it is indeed defined in GameUISceneClient.uc of the UDK: Line 1507: exec function OpenMenu( string MenuPath, optional int PlayerIndex=INDEX_NONE ) It looks like I have everything correct. So what's wrong? Why can't it find the OpenMenu function?

    I installed VS2010 and NET 4.0 framework and created a simple project. When I uploaded to my server (where I also installed the 4.0 framework), I get this error: Unrecognized attribute 'targetFramework' It's coming from this section in the web.config which was auto-generated by VS2010 when I created the project: I've checked and ensure that the application pool for my website on the server is set to "4.0 Integrated". Any feedback on how to get past this error would be appreciated. Thank you!

    When getopt or getopt_long encounters an illegal option, it stores the offending option character in optopt. When the illegal option is a long option, where can I find out what the option was? And does anything meaningful get stored in optopt then? I've set opterr = 0 to suppress the automatically printed error message. I want to create my own message that I can print or log where I'd like, but I want to include the name of the unrecognized option.

  • WinDbg fails to find symbol file reporting 'unrecognized OMF sig'

    I have received a 64bit dump of a 32bit app that was running on Win7 x64. I am able to load it in WinDbg (hint: !wow64exts.sw) running on a 64bit OS. The symbols for most of my dlls are loaded properly. The pdb for one though does not load. The same pdb does load properly for the same dll when reading a 32bit dump on a different system. I've also confirmed that the dll and pdb match each other via the chkmatch utility. I tried .symopt +40 but the pdb still didn't load. I did !sym noisy then .reload - WinDbg reported: DBGHELP: unrecognized OMF sig: 811f1121 *** ERROR: Symbol file could not be found. Defaulted to export symbols Any ideas on what to try to get WinDbg to load my pdb when reading a 64bit dump?

  • iPhone app running in Instruments fails with unrecognized selector

    I have an app that appears to run without problems in normal use. The Clang Static Analyzer reports no problems either. When I try to run it in Instruments, it fails with an unrecognized selector exception. The offending line is a simple property setter of the form: self.bar = baz; To figure out what's going on, I added an NSLog() call immediately above it: NSLog(@"class = %@ responds = %d", [self class], [self respondsToSelector:@selector(setBar:)]); self.bar = baz; On the emulator (without Instruments) and on a device, this shows exactly what I'd expect: class = Foo responds = 1 When running under Instruments, I get: class = Foo responds = 0 I'm stumped as to what could cause this. Perhaps a different memory location is getting tromped on when it's in the Instruments environment? Can anyone suggest how I might debug this?
