  I am not developer but I found this board while researching windev. I am the VP of a start up company that is developing a web-based application for a retail point of sale system. If anyone out there is familiar enough with this product and especially it's limitations, I would appreciate any heads up info on any of the final product(s) that have been developed that I might be able to compare/contrast to our enterprise.

  I have a job opportunity. They use WinDev. I did some research about it and, although it seams pretty prometting, the website claims that it's used by only 100,000 developpers. Have you worked with this language? What's your thoughts?

• How can I set Windows Developer Preview resolution to 1920x1080 screen resolution

  I have a new monitor which I'm sharing between two computers: a laptop with Windows 7 (Win7 from now on) and a home assembled desktop with Windows Developer Preview (WinDev from now on). Win7 recognizes the monitor resolution of 1920x1080, and many others. WinDev doesn't; the best resolution I get on that OS is 1600x1200. Win7 has: Mobile Intel 965 Express video Generic PnP Monitor as monitor #2 WinDev has: MSI NVidia 9600GT with 1Gb RAM video Generic Non PnP Monitor I'm using Belkin Flip USB to share the monitor between boxes

• why doesn't everyone use RAD tools?

  RAD tools like Clarion and WinDev claim to be 10x to 20x times faster in development and users of these tools claim the same. If that is thru, why are there so few people using these tools? if an application is made in 40 hours instead of 400 you would make a lot more money, right?

• WINCE problem LoadLibraryEx

  Hello, I am using a WINCE framework for development called WINDEV. This framework has some DLLs that are to be loaded, but on some WINCE platforms, the loading (tested with a c program with the LoadLibraryEx instruction) does not work .... The results vary from one platform to another .... What are the hypothesis to be checked ? Thank for your help.
