  • How can I change a form's input value with javascript

    - by Biroka
How can I change a form's input value with javascript depending on witch combobox item is selected. I have a form with some imported values, and there is a field of witch imported value can be changed via a combobox. In my case: print("<input type='hidden' name='issue_array[{$issue["nr"]}][\"supplier\"]' value='{$issue["supplier"]}' />"); I have a combobox, that if I change it's value, should change the value of the input above. This is what I tried: print("<select name='supplier_combo' onchange='setSupplierInputValue(this.value, ${issue['nr']})'>"); and the script: echo "\r\n" . '<SCRIPT TYPE="text/javascript">' . "\r\n"; echo 'function setSupplierInputValue(value, issue_nr)' . "\r\n"; echo '{' . "\r\n"; echo ' issue_array[issue_nr]["supplier"] = value;'; echo '}' . "\r\n"; echo '</SCRIPT>'. "\r\n"; But it doesn't work, please help.

  • jQuery when div is clicked update input field issue

    - by stogdilla
Hello, I'm rather new to jquery so this may be the issue. I have a script that outputs several divs all with different text data in them. I would like it when I click one of them that an input field's value is updated to that text currently I have: <script type="text/javascript" src="http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.4.1/jquery.min.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript"> $(document).ready(function() { $("a.results]").click(function() { data= this.text(); $("#updateme").val(data); }); }); </script> <p> <label>Field <input type="text" name="updateme" id="updateme"> </label> </p> <a href="#" class="results">Florida</a> <a href="#" class="results">Florida 2</a> <a href="#" class="results">Florida 3</a> How can I make it so that whatever link is clicked that is the data that gets updated into the input's value? I can get it to take one or I can script out different cases of each changing the class name but I think there has to be a way where it references whatever link is being clicked instead of what it's currently doing. Thanks in advance!

  • HTML input not working correctly with AJAX update panels used else where on page

    - by Sean P
I have some update panels on my page that do some asyncpostbacks to keep some dropdownlists correctly populated. My problem is that on my page i have an HTML input that is handling some file uploads. With the AJAX on the page with asyncpostbacks, and while i step through my code behind, the files arent being uploaded. Using a postbacktrigger (non-async) is not possible because of my layout. Here is my code: <div id="divFileInputs" runat="server"> <input id="file1" name="fileInput" type="file" runat="server" size="50" style="width: 50em" onfocus="AddFileInput()" class="textbox" /></div> <select id="selectFileList" name="ListBox1" size="5" style="width: 50em; text-align: left;" class="textbox" /> <input id="RemoveAttachmentButton" type="button" value="Remove" onclick="RemoveFileInput()" class="removebutton " /> </div> Here is my code behind: Protected Sub CopyAttachments(ByVal issueId As String) Dim files As HttpFileCollection = Request.Files Dim myStream As System.IO.Stream Dim service As New SubmitService.Service For i As Integer = 0 To files.Count - 1 Dim postedFile As HttpPostedFile = files(i) Dim fileNameWithoutPath As String = System.IO.Path.GetFileName(postedFile.FileName) If fileNameWithoutPath.Length > 0 And issueId.Length > 0 Then Dim fileLength As Integer = postedFile.ContentLength Dim fileContents(fileLength) As Byte ' Read the file into the byte array. Send it to the web service. myStream = postedFile.InputStream myStream.Read(fileContents, 0, fileLength) service.ClearQuestAttachToIssue(issueId, fileNameWithoutPath, fileContents) End If Next service = Nothing End Sub When I put a breakpoint in at the declaration of service and then check the value of "files", the count is 0. I am expecting it to be 2 when i have one file uploaded. Anyone know how to fix this?

  • [RPM Building] How to take user input during install

    - by Sam
So when I create a debian package, I am able to write a post-installation shell script that runs just fine. Currently mine is configured to do echo "Please enter your MySQL Database user (default root)" read MYSQL_USER echo "Please enter the MySQL Database user password (default root)" read -s MYSQL_PASS DBEXIST=0 CMD="create database lportal;use lportal;" (mysql -u$MYSQL_USER -p$MYSQL_PASS -e "$CMD") || ((DBEXIST++)) if [ $DBEXIST -ne 0 ]; then echo "Setup finished, but MySQL already has an lportal table. This could be from a previous installation of Liferay. If you want a fresh installation of this bundle, please remove the lportal table and reinstall this package." fi This works fine for Ubuntu. However, I can't seem to get user input to work with RPMs for Fedora. Is there a good way to take user input? From what I understand, RPMs were designed not to allow interactive installs. However I can't see a better way to do this.. Is there possibly a way to automatically find local MySQL settings without asking the user? Otherwise, what's the best way to ask for user input?

  • Digital "Post It" notes for organizing content of sites/pages

    - by Alex
We're restructuring our old intranet into a new one and are going through each site to find content and use our new standard structure/look-and-feel. Do you recommend a tool where you can do "digital Post-It" notes? It would provide a way to type some items on a "card" and be able to move it around and organize it quickly. Also, if you know of tools in general for this kind of task, please advise. Thank you.

  • SEO & Digital Marketing - Social Media Intangibles

'Social Media' is certainly one of the most often used, yet least understood terms in the marketing space. In terms of purely defining the term, Social Media can be defined as communications among people in the digital space. These communications typically involve the exchange of ideas, experiences, information and insight, along with various media such as images and videos.

  • Secrets of Creating a Digital Marketing System For a Financial Management Firm

A Financial Management firm can create a strong web presence by designing and developing a business website on the internet. However, this step alone is not a digital marketing plan. Just putting up a Financial Management firm website on the internet is similar to establishing a physical business like a shop or an office, and then just sitting back and waiting for the customers to flow in. More than likely, it will not happen and your website will resemble a billboard in the desert.

  • How to digitally sign a message with M2Crypto using the keys within a DER format certificate

    - by Pablo Santos
Hi everyone. I am working on a project to implement digital signatures of outgoing messages and decided to use M2Crypto for that. I have a certificate (in DER format) from which I extract the keys to sign the message. For some reason I keep getting an ugly segmentation fault error when I call the "sign_update" method. Given the previous examples I have read here, I am clearly missing something. Here is the example I am working on: from M2Crypto.X509 import * cert = load_cert( 'certificate.cer', format=0 ) Pub_key = cert.get_pubkey() Pub_key.reset_context(md='sha1') Pub_key.sign_init() Pub_key.sign_update( "This should be good." ) print Pub_key.sign_final() Thanks in advance for the help, Pablo

  • How do I change which audio jacks are used for input and output?

    - by yamaha1996
I'm using a Realtek HD audio card built-in my motherboard. The Windows driver comes with a control panel that allows me to select which back panel jacks are used for what. So for example I can make both the blue jack and green jack for output and only the red one for mic-in. (Whereas by default, the blue jack is for line in, which I never need.) How can I do the same under Linux? If possible, please don't suggest something that involves PulseAudio or JACK; I'd like to do it the plain way, e.g. by editing ALSA configuration files, if possible. The way I understand it, my problem should have nothing to do with software servers redirecting streams, just instructing the driver to treat this jack as so and so because it's hardware supported. Thank you very much!

  • How to define clock input in Xilinx

    - by seventeen
Hey, I have almost no experience with Xilinx. I have a group project for a Digital Logic course that is due soon, where my partner, who was supposed to take care of the Xilinx simulations decided to bail on me. So here I am trying to figure it out last minute. I have designed a synchronous counter using a few JK Flip Flops and I need to define the CLK input for the FJKCs. I have drawn up the correct schematic, but I cannot figure out how to define a clock input. Any help appreciated, and yes, this is homework. I just can't find any basic xilinx documentation/tutorials online and I honestly don't have time to learn the whole IDE.
