  • Change the height of a list item when it's in edit mode

    I have custom list item renderers and editors for a List control. I need for the editor to have a greater height then the renderer, i.e., the row should expand(in height) when it goes into edit mode. However, even when the list's variableRowHeight is set to true, it doesn't do what I want: the height seems to be based on the height of the renderer only, not the editor. Is there any way to do what I want?

    I am trying to cancel a tooltip event (I only want it to display when the mouse is hovered over a certain area), and can't seem to figure it out. I tried stopPropagation, preventDefault, and stopImmediatePropagation, but none of them seem to work.   • How to loop video using NetStream in Data Generation Mode

    I'm using a NetStream in Data Generation Mode to play an embeded FLV using appendBytes. When the stream is finished playing, I'd like to loop the FLV file. I'm not sure how to achieve this. I've tried using NetStream.seek(0) and NetStream.appendBytesAction( NetStreamAppendBytesAction.RESET_SEEK ), but then I'm not sure what to do next. If you just try to call appendBytes again after that, it doesn't work, presumably because I'm appending the full byte array which has the FLV header and stuff? I'm not very familiar with how that all works. Any help is greatly appreciated.

    My game has delta time for frame independent movement, at 250 fps run perfectly smooth, but if i limit the fps to 60, the game slow down for a 2-4 seg every 20 seg aprox, even in small programs i have this same problem. no memory is created or released i comment everything i can and the problem persist thanks and sorry for my english

  • flash's "useHandCursor = true" not working for Chrome on Mac

    I'm developing a flash game using the default SimpleButton object for my buttons and the hand cursor is working just fine on PC Chrome and Firefox and Safari for Mac, but Chrome on Mac is not letting me swap the default cursor for the hand cursor. I've even set useHandCursor to true for every button I add a click event to and am still getting nothing. We've got no other rollover events, so it's important that the cursor switch. Anyone else run into this and have a lil-fixy / workaround?

    How can I validate the cells in a DataGridColumn individually? The validation is configured per-row. For example FIELD VALUE TYPE age 13 Integer height 13x3 Integer registered true Boolean temperature 98.G6 Float In this case, of course 13x3 and 98.G6 would be invalid. Writing a Validator is no problem, and I can grab the TYPE from the data provider object, but now do I get individual access to the GUI cells so I can give the Validator a source which is an individual cell, set the errorString on an individual cell.

I have following columns grop. <mx:AdvancedDataGridColumn id="wipId" dataField="wip.aggregatedValue" headerText="WIP"/> <mx:AdvancedDataGridColumn id="closedId" dataField="closed.aggregatedValue"/> <mx:AdvancedDataGridColumn dataField="newevents"/> </mx:AdvancedDataGridColumnGroup> <mx:SummaryRow summaryPlacement="group"> <mx:fields> <mx:SummaryField operation="SUM" dataField="wip.aggregatedValue" /> </mx:fields> </mx:SummaryRow> <mx:SummaryRow summaryPlacement="group"> <mx:fields> <mx:SummaryField operation="SUM" dataField="closed.aggregatedValue" /> </mx:fields> </mx:SummaryRow> <mx:SummaryRow summaryPlacement="group"> <mx:fields> <mx:SummaryField operation="SUM" dataField="newevents" /> </mx:fields> </mx:SummaryRow> So for fields WIP and closedEvents summary row appears zero but for newevents it appears correctly.   • Loading external SWF with masked content - need width/height

    I am loading an external swf using the SWFLoader component. The swf that is being loaded is masked so that only a portion is being shown. However, when it's loaded the actual size of the swf (loader.content.width/loader.content.height) is the complete swf including the masked area. Therefore, the loaded swf does not display properly in the itemrenderer Is there a way to to grab the size of the just the masked area as opposed to getting the size of the entire swf's contents? One item to note that is complicating the issue, is that these are swf files that have already been created and there are many of them. In some instances, the size of the stage matches up with the size of the masked area. In other instances, the stage is larger (or possibly smaller) than the masked area movieclip as well as possibly the actual size of the movieclip (w/o the mask). I am currently loading the external swf in using a Loader. Once loaded, I make a copy (screen shot) of the swf by creating a bmp of the loader.content.This is done as I don't want to have any animations being shown on screen at this moment. I am setting the size of the bmp using using loader.content.width & loader.content.height. I then set the SWFLoader.source to the bitmap.

  • How do I generate different yyparse functions from lex/yacc for use in the same program?

    Hi, I want to generate two separate parsing functions from lex/yacc. Normally yacc gives you a function yyparse() that you can call when you need to do some parsing, but I need to have several different yyparses each associated with different lexers and grammars. The man page seems to suggest the -p (prefix) flag, but this didn't work for me. I got errors from gcc that indicated that yylval was not properly being relabeled (i.e. it claims that several different tokens are not defined). Does anyone know the general rpocedure for generating these separate functions? thanks

  • AdvancedDataGrid dynamic text Value Coloring - ItemRenderer problem

    In my AdvancedDataGrid, I am adding dynamic values to cells by dragging a cell value to other cells. While copying, I am setting the value to listData and setting the Red color to the value in ItemRenderer. Everything is working fine, but when I scroll down/up, the values remains in the cells where thay are supposed to be(as I am setting to listData) but the coloring behaves wierd(as I am trying to set the color in ItemRenderer). I don't want to store the color of the value, but I should be able to see the dynamically created values in Red color. Is there a way, I can do this? Do I need to set the color to actual dataprovider object and then check in ItemRenderer? I'm trying to use the Text Layout Framework to improve the speed of the operation but i've founded that TLF is far slower (10X in my tests) than the old setTextFormat().
