• Problems with FlowLayoutPanel inside Panel with AutoSize

  I have the following controls hierarchy: Form Panel (AutoSize = true, AutoSizeMode = GrowAndShrink, Dock = Top) FlowLayoutPanel (AutoSize = true, AutoSizeMode = GrowAndShrink, Dock = Top) Control1, Control2, Control3, Control4, ... FlowLayoutPanel (AutoSize = true, AutoSizeMode = GrowAndShrink, Dock = Top) Control1, Control2, Control3, Control4, ... Here is how it layouts in various sizes: Fully visible all 8 buttons, but the Panel forgot to shrink The first FlowLayoutPanel are fully visible, but the second is only half visible, button8 is missing The first FlowLayoutPanel are fully visible, but the second is only half visible, button7 and button8 are missing The first FlowLayoutPanel are fully visible, but the second is only quarter visible, button 6, button7 and button8 are missing As you see, i'm not satisfied from this behavior. Is there something i can do to get all this work?

• DataGridView Selected Row Move UP and DOWN

  How can I allow selected rows in a DataGridView (DGV) to be moved up or down. I have done this before with a ListView. Unfortunetly, for me, replacing the DGV is not an option (curses). By the way, the DGV datasource is a Generic Collection. The DGV has two buttons on the side, yes, UP & Down. Can anyone help point me in the right direction. I do have the code that I used for the ListView if it'll help (it did not help me).

• UIButton of type UIButtonTypeCustom will not display Title (iPhone)

  Hi I must have overlooked something completely obvious?? but my button displays its image and size correctly, but I simply can't get the Title to show up. I did a really simple test, the Title does not even show up when I do this: CGRect frameBtn = CGRectMake(160.0f, 150.0f, 144.0f, 42.0f); UIButton *button = [UIButton buttonWithType:UIButtonTypeCustom]; [button setImage:[UIImage imageNamed:@"left_halfscreen_button.png"] forState:UIControlStateNormal]; [button setTitle:@"Hello" forState:UIControlStateNormal]; [button setFrame:frameBtn]; NSLog(@"Title:%@", [button currentTitle]); //prints "Title:Hello [self addSubview:button]; I have a factory class that generates custom buttons for me and I thought I messed some detail up there, so I moved the above code directly into my UIView, the title is still blank. • jquery buttonset()

  Hi - I'm using the jquery buttonset() on a set of radio buttons (to tart them up). I'd like to be able to set the selected radio button on another user event. I've been looking into this and while I can set the selected radio button, but I cannot also (easily) update the UI to indicate what the selected radio button is. From what I can tell, I need to call this to set the radio button at index n to be checked $('input[name="transactionsRadio"]')[n].checked = true; And then do some convoluted jquery selector calls to remove the ui-state-active from one lable and apply it to the new label. Is this really the most optimal way to do this ? I had expected an equivalent method to the 'activate' method that is available for the jquery Accordian control. Any more elegant solution would be appreciated! Thanks, Kevin.

• Urlrewriting.net pages are not causing postbacks

  I'm using webforms with UrlRewriting.Net to rewrite pages, e.g. http://www.example.com/stuff.aspx?c=30 becomes http://www.example.com/stuff/30-this-stuff.aspx. It works in so far as the correct content is loading; however, none of the postbacks are working (mostly buttons on the page). If I set up a breakpoint on Page_Load, I see that IsPostBack is always false. Any ideas on how to fix this? Right now I'm just on Visual Studio 2008. EDIT: I have since switched to UrlRewriter.Net, which worked after a few tweaks (see Scott Gu's article). Besides here, I have posted my original problem to the developer's forum: if I ever get an answer, I'll post it here (unless else posts it here first).

• Best aproach for multi-page WPF application

  How do i create multislide application in WPF? What is beast approach? What i need is something very similar to having tabcontrol with multiple pages and navigation buttons bellow, but i dont think that tab control is best for this task. I would like to have each view to be in seperate .xaml + class file. AND- it would be cool to have some animiation, when navigating to another page (like old page slides away or something like that. What would be best technique to achieve this?

  I try to automatically parse/submit web page using MSHTML (in C#.Net 3.1 WPF WebBrowser control). I can fill the forms, click buttons, naviagate pages without problems. But do not know how to automatically click "ok" button on javascript confirmation dialog which appear when I click "Submit" button. • How to download media content on demand and reuse from browser cache in silverlight

  Hi. I have a problem with simple silverlight app, this app has a couple of buttons, each button sets mediaelement source to a short mp3 file and plays it, my problem is that when i press the same button second time it re-downloads mp3 file again but i think it shouldn't, instead it should use a copy of browser cached mp3 file that was downloaded when a button was pressed for the first time. I'm using sl4 and links in mediaelement are just simple uri's, i need to make it working in this way that when some mp3 was downloaded it will be cached on the client browser and further click on button will use a cached version of file instead of downloading it again and wasting my bandwidth. Any ideas ?

• Multiple calls with Simple Modal OSX Style Dialog

  I am using Simple Modal, the OSX style version. I have two calls to the modal and therefore two versions of content. When either of the buttons is clicked it selects only the first lot of content. There is nowhere to put a hook on the content like most modal windows as there is no javascript on the page to add parameters... only an external .js file which I don't want to touch for obvious reasons.   Hi, I am envisioning a site layout like this- top navigation menu linking to maybe 4 or 5 indexes of different controllers. each of these sections will be working with different model objects. Left navigation menu is specific to a controller. so, for each of the top menu buttons (corresponding to different controllers) I would like the left navigation menu to offer options only specific to the currently used controler.   Iam using the radgrid, in my web application. Iwant to avoid the refetch of records when paging button is clicked on the radgrid. I have a method SetTodaysAlerts which gets near about 100 records and binds to my radgrid. The page size of the radgrid is 10, hence First, Next, Previous and Last buttons are available. When I click the next button how can I avoid the re fetching of the records again. FYI: Iam using the radgrid_NeedDataSource event which does the datafetch again when any navigatin button is clicked on the radgrid.

  Hi, I am writing a Autohotkey script that need to 'check' and 'uncheck' checkboxes defined inside a listViewControl. I think the way to do it is using a SendMessage to the listview (or maybe to the listview item itself?) using the LVM_SETITEMSTATE parameter but i don't know the exact format...anyone have any idea? SendMessage, LVM_SETITEMSTATE, 1000, SysListView321 i think that 1000 means that the checkbox will be checked and 2000 means that he will be unchecked. do i need to do a loop for each ListViewItem? I had also tried to use the LV_Modify(0, "+Checked") But it doesnt seems to work also. To emphasize the problem, I am not creating my own List View, i'm trying to manipulate the state of an exisiting application ListView.... (i'm running an installer and using the AutoHotKey script i press the next buttons on each of the screens, but in this screen i need to first select all the components and only then move to the next screen) Any AutoHotKey Experts in here?

  Hello Currently I have an entity named "Events" in a CoreData app. "Events" has one string property named "eventName". In the -(void)viewDidLoad I am trying to Fetch all the "Events" objects and load their "eventName" by alphabetical order into a UIPickerView. The ultimate end goal is through the use of a textField, buttons and the pickerView being add new objects in and remove unwanted objects out. Basically turning the UIPickerView into a UITableView. Currently I am able to save objects to the CoreData store, but am not able to pull them/their properties out into the UIPickerView. I am willing and able to share the project source code to anyone who wants it, or is willing to look at it to help out. thanks Chris

I am controller this view with a viewController subclass but I don't know how to manage my tableView. • SimpleModal breaks ASP.Net Postbacks

  I'm using jQuery and SimpleModal in an ASP.Net project to make some nice dialogs for a web app. Unfortunately, any buttons in a modal dialog can no longer execute their postbacks, which is not really acceptable. There is one source I've found with a workaround, but for the life of me I can't get it to work, mostly because I am not fully understanding all of the necessary steps. I also have a workaround, which is to replace the postbacks, but it's ugly and probably not the most reliable. I would really like to make the postbacks work again. Any ideas? UPDATE: I should clarify, the postbacks are not working because the Javascript used to execute the post backs has broken in some way, so nothing happens at all when the button is clicked.

• Modal MessageBox for ASP.NET without jQuery

  I have an assembly with custom ASP.NET server controls that is used in several, mostly in-house, ASP.NET 2.0 applications. The server controls use simple modal popup messageboxes, which are currently implemented using the javascript alert and confirm functions. I want to release a new version of this assembly that uses a better solution for messageboxes, including support for Yes/No buttons. The appearance would be something like a simplified version of the Ajax Control Toolkit ModalPopup extender (sample here). My constraints are that this should be as easy as possible to integrate into existing ASP.NET 2.0 applications without introducing new dependencies: ideally just drop in a new version of the assembly, that contains all the javascript it needs as an embedded resource, and possibly a CSS file. Because of this constraint, I am not considering solutions I've seen that use jquery, or the ASP.NET Ajax Control Toolkit, which appears to require adding elements to pages that use the extenders (ScriptManagers and the like). Any recommendations?

• Base URL in ASP.net Master Pages with virtual Directories

  Hi All, I have an ASP.net master page. In this master, I have all my css and javascript files defined. I also have a few images and a few buttons and hyperlinks. All the urls are all declared as relative ie "/scripts/ian.js" Everything works fine if this site is the root website, but I need it to work in a virtual directory. My problem is when I place this website in a virtual directory under a root site, all my links are pointing to the root site. so my links point to www.root.com/scripts/ian.js but it should be pointing to www.root.com/virtualDir/scripts/ian.js I thought the Base Href tag in the header would help, but so far it does not seem to be helping in anyway. All the links are still pointing to the root website when i hover over them. Any suggestions or ideas are welcome. Thanks

  Hi, I try to create an UITableView similar to the Standard Contact App, when selecting a contact (i.e. grouped style). But how do I get some controls at the top or at the bottom of the cells, which scroll with the rest? In the Contact App you have at the top the picture together with the name and at the bottom three buttons. Are these just special customized Cells? Or can you have controls directly there? • Ext GWT (GXT) tooltip over a grid row

  I'm developing a custom tooltip using Ext GWT (GXT) for a project of mine, and this tooltip has to appear over Grid rows when they're selected. I can't use the default GXT tooltip or quicktip because I need be able to add Components (like buttons) to this tooltip. The problem is that the GXT Grid component doesn't expose a event related to mousing over a row (although there's RowClick and RowMouseDown). I tried adding a listener to the Grid with the OnMouseOver and OnMouseOut events anyway, but it doesn't work as expected. It fires these events up whenever you mouse over any of the divs and spans that composes a row. The only way I see to solve this is to subclass the GridView component and make each row become a Component itself, but that would be a lot of work and would probably impact performance as well. I can't help but think there's a better way to do this. Could someone more experienced with GXT give me a light?

• Runtime-error in wpf with Window.AllowsTransparent set to true.

  I get an exception thrown at runtime when I set AllowsTransparent="True" I get an exception saying the WindowStyle can not be set to None if AllowsTransparent is set to true. Even if I explicitly say that WindowStyle is set to SingleBorder I get this error. However, if I set WindowStyle to SingleBorder and remove the AllowsTransparent-tag, I get no error, and the top of the window (the icon, name and close, minimize and maximize-buttons) disappears. Anyone knows what can cause this? Or is it just a bug in .Net 4.0 rc?
