  I am trying to write an excel if statement. I am new to using all the extra functionality Excel has. I am using a function called importXML(). I am trying to check whether a function I am using generates a "#VALUE!" error as follows: if( importXML(B1,C1)!="#VALUE!" //check if no error generated, importXML(B1,C1)//if no error is generated, use these cells in the function importXML(A1,C1)//else use these cells in the function ) Is this possible? • Trying to get excel 2003 into already made windows form

  good afternoon everyone :) I got sucha dilemma! (hate being new at stuff!) What my problem is is that I have a project that is in full design mode swing right now. I built it using the Windows form.. Anyways, on one of my forms..that I already started building (very painstakingly).. Minds have changed and now what needs to be on that form is either a full excel 2003 workbook..or at the very least..excel worksheet. The problem is that I have not been using studio 2008 for long..and coding experience shows the same. Can someone please tell me how the heck I can put a worksheet or a workbook on that form without starting my whole project over using office forms? Please..go slow with this newbie cuz i really dont know anything and Jargon is confusing me even more :( thanxxXXX :)

  I have created a application in c# , it reads excel file and after checking some conditions, it select a row to be written in another Excel File. Everything is working fine, but i need to end the file with the DateTime.Now.ToString(). string date = DateTime.Now.ToString(); ExcelWorkSheet2.Cells[newFileRow, 1] = date; When I see the file created, it shows "########" symbol instead of actual date. When I select that cell , it changes to correct date format. What may be going wrong?

  Ok i have a Excel import written. It uses excel automation to go through all the records and get the job done. BUt how would you do it if you had to do it? Would you use SSIS? Would You use a Dataconnection? I am really confused as to the best way to get this done properly.   Having started to upgrade our PCs to Windows 7 we have noticed that we are getting group policy warnings in Event Viewer such as: "The user 'Word.qat' preference item in the 'a_Office2007_Users {A084A37B-6D4C-41C0-8AF7-B891B87FC53B}' Group Policy object did not apply because it failed with error code '0x80070533 Logon failure: account currently disabled.' This error was suppressed." 15 of these warnings appear every two hours on every Windows 7 PC, most of which are to do with core office applications and two are for plug-ins to out document management system. These warnings aren't afecting the users, but it would be nice to track down the source of them before we rollout Win7 to the rest of the Organisation. Any ideas as to where the login issue could be comming from (All users are connecting to the domain and proxy, etc fine)?

• Unable to make admin interface connection to server when moving a mailbox.

  I have an existing Exchange 2003 server running on Windows Server 2003. I am in the process of replacing our current server infrastructure and virtualizing it all in Hyper-V. I have Essential Business Server 2008 installed in 3 separate VMs and running. Everything seems to be working fine so far. I am now trying to migrate my exchange mailboxes over to the new exchange server in the messaging server and every time I try I get this error: MapiExceptionNetworkError: Unable to make admin interface connection to server. (hr=0x80040115, ec=-2147221227) I have done some searching and found solutions like adding the computer to the exchange domain servers groups and install group, also making sure the user logged into the new server is in the proper groups. I also saw a solution in making sure that any unused NICs are disabled. I've tried all that to no avail.

• Internet Explorer 8 crashes on Citrix, Windows 2003

  Difficult to decide where this Q fits best. It's server-related and programming-related. But it's a user-problem so I'll put it here, first... I work on a (Delphi) application that uses an Internet Explorer component to show information to the user. It's not a web application, just a desktop application which creates HTML pages to display them within a browser component. Some of the information on these webpages are retrieved from a web server, while other information is provided "live" by the application itself. It works quite well, but it adds an IE-process (child process) next to my application. And this IE process seems to eat a lot of system resources. For normal users, this is not a real problem, so it's not an issue that I want to fix in the code. But one customer of this application uses it with about 100 users on a Citrix/Windows 2003 environment and they complain about problems with the application. IE8 tends to crash, not show, hang or cause other mayhap. Then again, I've warned them that -officially- I won't support any Citrix environment. But I'm willing to help them to find a solution to fix this, and if need be I could make minor changes to my code to help fix this issie. (If possible.) But basically, I need a solution that any user/administrator on this Citrix environment can follow/use. Any ideas on how to resolve this resource problem?

• IIS7 Recover Default Website

  So I deleted my default website by accident on a Windows 2008 server in IIS7. This is bad because I now lost my Exchange OWA virtual directories... users are not happy =(. Also lost my https certificate I'm pretty sure. So I'm hoping there is an easy way to recover all that stuff being that it's Windows 2008 and all... Any help appreciated. I have no idea where to start or how to recover any of this stuff besides creating a new site called default website and then hitting the MS Exchange manual on how to install OWA from scratch.

• Authentication on Exchange using EWS managed API

  I'm having a weird issue with the Exchange Web Services. The operation I'm attempting is pretty simple—pull a user's calendar items for the current week on our internal website. When testing locally, the ews managed API pulls the calendar information just fine. When deployed to the web server (using integrated windows authentication), it chokes. My trace is telling me that access is denied in the Exchange call. Initially, I thought this was a double-hop NTLM permissions issue, but it turns out that the service actually works for some internal users, but not for most. The only thing I can find that the functioning users have in common is that they are blackberry users and I surmise that their exchange permissions are setup differently. Or are their active directory accounts setup differently? I don't know and it's driving me crazy. I surmise that the blackberry app runs some scripts when a user is added to the application, but I'm completely unfamiliar with what may be going on behind the scenes there. So. Is there a way to duplicate the permissions those users enjoy (either AD or Exchange permissions)? And/or how exactly does one fix the double-hop credentials situation?

• Why don't SCOM R2 web console performance views load?

  When I select any performance view via my SCOM R2 web console, I get the following error: Unexpected error There was an error displaying the page you requested. ... and some suggestions about restarting my browser, which doesn't resolve the issue. • ISA forms authentication problems after installing moss sp2

  Guys I have a problem that's flared back up after installing WSS and MOSS service pack 2. The problem centers around the users being prompted to enter credentials when interacting with office documents. This problem came up before and I was able to go into ISA server and configure a persistent cookie on the web listener. As we all know when configuring a cookie you have two options use only on private computers or use on all computers. If I select use on all computers I can't even log in to Sharepoint from the forms page however if I select use only on private computer I'm able to log in and also I don't get prompted when opening office documents. So I would like to ask has something changed with Sharepoint service pack 2 because that’s the only change that’s been made to my environment.

• SMTP Relay through exchange

  Hi guys, We have a bit of a problem in that we want our printers to email our contractor whenever they develop a fault. The problem is on our corporate network we have no access through the firewall to the internet preventing us to use the external SMTP server. So i suppose the question is can we use our exchange server to do this? IE could I run an SMTP service that would forward to the exchange server which would then send the mail to the contractor? • Exchange Transport Service Started but not working

  Good day, Here is the problem : We are hosting a Microsoft Exchange Server. Everything working fine until recently, where the mail transport seems to go wrong. We almost have to restart the service every morning. The thing is that the transport service is started, but the mail are not delivered to the users and senders to our server get a delayed delivery notification. When we restart the service, all the mail is then delivered to the users and we're good to go for a day or two. Things I've noticed : The store service is growing to around 6 Gb of used RAM, and the w3wp.exe service is hanging around 700mb RAM. Is there a way to schedule a restart of the transport role every 4 hours or something while I'm solving the issue so I don't have to worry when I leave for the week-end? And most of all...does anyone have any idea on how to solve this issue? Thanks, Philippe

• Contacts Issue: Google Contacts, Nokia 5800 And Outlook, Sync and Images

  Hello everyone, this is a multi-question, so please, feel free to answer just one or all of them. My actual situation is: Google contacts sync with Nokia 5800 using MFE(google sync), using google's fake "exchange server". Outlook sync with google using GoContact Sync software (http://www.webgear.co.nz/Products/GOContactSync.aspx). What I want, a easy(or not) way to correctly sync the three of them, even if I have to change some of my "escenario". I know outlook<-google contacts sync is not good yet, but if someone can suggest me some better SW than GoContact Sync. It'll be good. What I really want is to sync a least name, phone, email and image. Then, is there a way to get all my google contacts to by default use their own google image? I noted that, usually i have to manually choose it, and sometimes it doesn't work. I'll like to use something or someone's service to do this automatically. I have tried some services like Soocial, but it gives me a lot of trouble after the first sync, because soccial can ONLY get ALL your contacts, not just "My Contacts"; and also it gives me like 100 bad contacts in outlook because of their beta client. The final goal of all of this is to Get only "My Contacts" from google in Outlook and in the 5800 with their images Get ALL my contacts with their default image, meaning, the contact's personal image Get a solution to correctly sync the three of them, using Google's as the base for the rest of them. Thanks in advance. Again, feel free to sugest me solutions to just one or all them.

When I try : telnet office.mydomain.ca 25 -- 220 MYSERVER.mydomain.local Microsoft ESMTP MAIL Service ready at Fri, 7 May 2010 10:34:36 -0400 I can change my SMTP Banner in the Sonicwall, but I don't know what to write, if there is a specific syntax or what can be the consequence if it doesn't work. • Is it possible to change the content database of an existing SharePoint '07 web app?

  Disclaimer: I'm very much an accidental SharePoint admin so I greatly appreciate your patience. My SharePoint farm's database server is EOL and about to die. I have managed to get the config database (SharePoint_Config) moved over to the new database server and even managed to get the Central Administration site to use the new database server. I have even added the new database server to the farm as a content database server. My problem right now is with the web app's content database (WSS_Content). I already have a copy of the content database setup and ready to go on the new database server but, for the life of me, I can't figure out how to change the SharePoint web app's database over to it. Is this even possible? If so, how would I do it? If not, would I have to create a new web app and then restore (and overwrite) its WSS_Content database with my existing one?

  In order to consolidate all my email, I wanted to forward all my Gmail(2 accounts) to a new Live(Hotmail) account. I wanted all email arriving at my Gmail account to be forwarded to my Hotmail(easy enough) BUT I ALSO want all email arriving at Gmail to be replied back to sender with a message like: "Your email has been delivered BUT the user has moved onto [email protected] .   I'm trying to write a DASL filter to combine three queries: Get all mail with no category and no flag. ("urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office#Keywords" IS NULL AND "urn:schemas:httpmail:messageflag" IS NULL) Get all mail that is categorized as "Ryan" and flagged with a red "Today" flag. Don't know how to write this one. Get all mail that is uncategorized and flagged with a red "Today" flag. Don't know how to write this one. Once I have the individual queries, I will combine and OR them. I am stuck on how to filter the flag value.
