• Django blog reply system

  hello, i'm trying to build a mini reply system, based on the user's posts on a mini blog. Every post has a link named reply. if one presses reply, the reply form appears, and one edits the reply, and submits the form.The problem is that i don't know how to take the id of the post i want to reply to. In the view, if i use as a parameter one number (as an id of the blog post),it inserts the reply to the database. But how can i do it by not hardcoding? • IDs necessary in update script not being stored (or even seen!?) (PHP MySQL)

  Hi guys, I really need help with this one...have spent 3 hours trying to figure it out... Basically, I have 3 tables necessary for this function to work (the query and PHP)... Authors, Books and Users. An author can have many books, and a user can have many books - that's it. When the admin user selects to update a book, they are presented with a form, displaying the current data within the fields, very straight forward... However there is one tricky part, the admin user can change the author for a book (incase they make a mistake) and also change the user for which the book is associated with. When I select to update the single book information I am not getting any values what so ever for author_id or user_id. Meaning that when the user updates the book info, the associations with the user and author is being scrapped altogether (when before there was an association)... I cannot see why this is happening because I can clearly see the IDs for the users and authors for my option values (this is because they are in select dropdowns). Here is what my sql to retrieve the user ID is: SELECT user_id, name FROM users and then i have my select options which brings up all the users in the system: <label>This book belongs to:</label> <select name="name" id="name"> <option value="<?php echo $row['user_id']?>" SELECTED><?php echo $row['name']?> - Current</option> <?php while($row = mysql_fetch_array($result)) { ?> <option value="<?php echo $row['user_id']; if (isset($_POST['user_id']));?>"><?php echo $row['name']?></option> <?php } ?> In the presented HTML form, I can select the users (by name) and within the source code I can see the IDs (for the value) matching against the names of the users. Finally, in my script that performs the update, I have this: $book_id = $_POST['book_id']; $bookname = $_POST['bookname']; $booklevel = $_POST['booklevel']; $author_id = $_POST['author_id']; $user_id = $_POST['user_id']; $sql = "UPDATE books SET bookname= '".$bookname."', booklevel= '".$booklevel."', author_id='".$author_id."', user_id= '".$user_id."' WHERE book_id = ".$book_id; The result of this query returns no value for either author_id or user_id... Obviously in this question I have given the information for the user stuff (with the HTML being displayed) but im guessing that I have the same problem with authors aswell... How can I get these ID's passed to the script so that the change can be acknowledge!! :(

• HWID locking a PHP page?

  Currently I sell a program, that accesses my webpage. The program is HWID (Hard Ware ID) locked, and the only reason I use the program to access the webpage instead of direct access via a webbrowser, is so that I can use HWID authentication. However, I've just been told I can code a script to get computer information, such as hardware ID etc. Is this actually possible completely server-side? If so, can I do it with PHP? If not, what language would this be, and what functions would I have to look into for this?

• Hiding elements based on last closed element jquery script

  Hi my question is, how can I make this jquery script close all previously opened children when entering a new parent? At the moment it traverses thru all the tree structure fine, but switching from one parent to another does not close the previous children, but rather only the each individual parents elements as a user browses. If I send Mails over an Java-Application I get the following message-id: message-id=<143303043.111334605578921.JavaMail.applicationanme@hostname> So I want that the message-id looks like this: message-id=<[email protected]> What I can understand, if I send mails with the Linux program mail it works: message-id=<[email protected]> I have already set my hostname in the postfix-conf, but when I send a mail with the java-application it doen't work. We use a relay host to send email and any messages which are sent without @domain.tld in the mail-id will detected as a spam mail. Do you have any idea how I can fix this?

• Juju Zookeeper & Provisioning Agent Not Deployed

  I am using juju with the openstack provider, i expected that when i bootstrap that zookeeper and provisioning agent would get deployed on the bootstrap vm in openstack. This dose not seem to be the case. the bootstrap vm gets deployed but it seems that nothing gets deployed to the VM.   Hi, banging my head here and thought that some one out there might be able to help. Have Tables below. Bucket( bucketId smallint (PK) name varchar(50) ) BucketUser( UserId varchar(10) (PK) bucketId smallint (PK) ) The composite key is not the problem thats ok I know how to get around this but I want my bucket class to contanin a IList of BucketUser. I read the online reference and thought that I had cracked it but havent. • Is there only one distribution certificate per team leader or one per application?

  I'm confused by the dev and dist cert. I got one app in the store, but I named my certs after my first app. Was this a mistake? I'm ready to go on my second app. But XCode is selected the dist cert with the old app name on it. It built without error. Though I named it wrong, will it still work? XCode is automatically picking this cert for me. Is this right? You need a new app ID for each app so you can 1) put in plist, 2) put in code signing section on Build tab of Target info, but you don't need a new dev and dist cert for each new app. Therefore is this right too? For each app you develop, you only need your original dev and dist cert, but a new app ID for each app. This is so obscure! I wish apple had done a better job!

  I am trying to have a tablelayout contains several tablerows. One of the rows contains 4 buttons, while the second row contains a very long text. However, the width of the button stretches with the text in the second row.   Hi, I am using iReport 2.0.2. I have a report with 4 subreports in a detail band. I need a page break after the 1st and 2nd subreport. I inserted a page break property in Master Report. When the 1st subreports goes beyond one page, it is not breaking a page in second page. If it is within the single page it breaks. I need to know, is the way of working is correct.   Hi *, When writing in a UITextView more text than can fit entirely inside it, the text will scroll up and the cursor will often place itself one or two lines above the view's bottom line. This is a bit frustrating as I want my application to make good use of the entire height of the text view. Basically what I want is to configure the UITextView to write up to it's lowest part and not use it just for scrolling. I've seen some similar questions here, here and here. However I've not seen a proper solution yet. Thanks

  Hi there, I'm looking for an easy and reversible method of obfuscating integer IDs. Ideally, I'd want the resulting obfuscation to be at most eight characters in length and non-sequential, meaning that the obfuscation of "1" should look nothing like the obfuscation for "2" and so on. This isn't meant to be secure by any means, so this isn't a huge concern. Additionally, the integers I'll be obfuscating aren't large - between one and 10,000 - but I don't want any collisions, either. Does anybody have any ideas for something that would fit this criteria? The user can soft and filter the ListView, done by using the CollectionViewSource.GetDefaultView and altering the ICollectionView Filter and SortDescriptions. When the user right-clicks a row, they can add an item to the collection. I want this new row to appear below the row right clicked. So far all the methods I've found for something like this are done with ListView.Items which I can't use because I'm setting the ItemsSource property.
