  • Convert String value format of YYYYMMDDHHMMSS to C# DateTime

    I have a need to convert a string value in the form "YYYYMMDDHHMMSS" to a DateTime. But not sure on how, may be a DateTime.Tryparse can be used to make this happen. Or is there any other way to do it. I can do this using some string operations to take "YYYYMMDD" alone, convert to a datetime and then add HH, MM, SS separately to that DateTime. But is there any DateTime.TryParse() methods that I can use in one line to convert a "YYYYMMDDHHMMSS" format string value to a DateTime value?

  • Best way for saving infinit playlists (arrays) into db? (php mySql)

    So client gives me a string like "1,23,23,abc,ggg,544,tf4," from user 12 . There can be infinit number of elements with no spaces just value,value,... structure. I have users table (with users uId(key), names etc). I have streams table with ( sId(key), externalID, etc values). User sends me externalId's. And I need to hawe externalId's in play list (not my sId's). I need some way to store such array into my DB and be able to get it from DB. I need to be able to do 2 things return such string back to user be able to get na array from it like {1; 23; 23; abc; ggg; 544; tf4;} So what is best method (best here means shourt(small amount of) code) to store such data into db to retrivew stored tata in bouth ways shown

    I need an easy way to convert a List<int> to a string array. I have: var the_list = new List<int>(); the_list.Add(1); the_list.Add(2); the_list.Add(3); string[] the_array = new string[the_list.Count]; for(var i = 0 ; i < the_array.Count; ++i) the_array[i] = the_list[i].ToString(); ...which looks to be very ugly to me. Is there an easier way? Note: I'm looking for an easier way - not necessarily a faster way.

Does anyone have any ideas?

  • Problem with literal arguments in the PATTERN string for a python 2to3 fixer

    Hi folks. I'm writing a fixer for the 2to3 tool in python. In my pattern string, I have a section where I'd like to match an empty string as an argument, or an empty unicode string. The relevant chunk of my pattern looks like: (args='""' | args='u""') My issue is the second option never matches. Even if it's alone, it won't match. However, if I simply say args=any and then output args, I can catch cases where args is exactly equal to the second option. Is there some weird unicode handling thing going on? Why won't the second literal option ever match?

    For a project, I have to convert a binary string into (an array of) bytes and write it out to a file in binary. Say that I have a sentence converted into a code string using a huffman encoding. For example, if the sentence was: "hello" h = 00 e = 01, l = 10, o = 11 Then the string representation would be 0001101011. How would I convert that into a byte? <-- If that question doesn't make sense it's because I know little about bits/byte bitwise shifting and all that has to do with manipulating 1's and 0's.

" matches found"; } else { echo "match NOT found"; } On top of this the "books" inside the preg_match_all should become a $var Anyone an idea how to count correctly?

  • Regular Expression to return the contents of a HTML tag received as a string of text

    I have a string in my code that I receive that contains some html tags. It is not part of the HTML page being displayed so I cannot grab the html tag contents using the DOM (i.e. document.getElementById('tag id').firstChild.data); So, for example within the string of text would appear a tag like this: 12 My question is how would I use a regular expression to access the '12' numeric digit in this example? This quantity could be any number of digits (i.e. it is not always a double digit). I have tried some regular expressions, but always end up getting the full span tag returned along with the contents. I only want the '12' in the example above, not the surrounding tag. The id of the tags will always be 'myQty' in the string of text I receive. Thanks in advance for any help!

    I'm doing some error debugging trying to get the errors on our website down to a minimum and there seems to be an error that is popping up quite a lot Conversion from string "" to type 'Double' is not valid. I'm unable to replicate this problem but I can see that it is happening. I've been looking through the code in one of the pages and strolled across this Dim varWeek As String If varWeek < 10 Then 'Do something' End If Could this be causing the problem as it is trying to see if a String is less than 10 which is an Integer? As I said before as I am unable to see this error in the first place so changing this to an Integer doesn't change anything on my system. Thanks.

    The pickle module seems to use string escape characters when pickling; this becomes inefficient e.g. on numpy arrays. Consider the following z = numpy.zeros(1000, numpy.uint8) len(z.dumps()) len(cPickle.dumps(z.dumps())) The lengths are 1133 characters and 4249 characters respectively. z.dumps() reveals something like "\x00\x00" (actual zeros in string), but pickle seems to be using the string's repr() function, yielding "'\x00\x00'" (zeros being ascii zeros). i.e. ("0" in z.dumps() == False) and ("0" in cPickle.dumps(z.dumps()) == True)

I am handling the request and doing the business part in my application and as a acknowledgement I need to send XML string as Response to the same Page which POSTED the request to my Application. I was successful in retrieving the input from Request using the following code NameValueCollection postPageCollection = Request.Form; foreach (string name in postPageCollection.AllKeys) { ... = postPageCollection[name]); } But i am not sure how to send back the response along with XML String to the site(different domain)? EDIT: How to get the URL from where the POST happened.

  • SQLCe local db in temp- path in connectionstring?

    Hi, I have SQL Ce db in my app, which is included in my app directory. While debugging its OK, but when published and run with setup.exe, it retrieves "file not found" in temporary directory the app is ran from. I would like to run from standard location, but I dont know how to change it. I am using this string: SqlCeConnection connection = new SqlCeConnection("Data Source=database.sdf;Persist Security Info=False;"); When I run setup.exe, the app never starts, stating that in its temporary directory the db file was not found. When I run app.exe, it works. I do not understand it...:( EDIT: I can see that in the VS project settings, there is connection string and there is "Data Source=|DataDirectory|\Database.sdf" The path should be something like local directory?     Hello, As part of our product's installation process, a database is attached to the server. We use EXEC sp_attach_db in order to attach it to MSSQL. The problem occures when we try to attach it with "SQL Authentication" connection string - the database is attached to the server as read-only, thus preventing any write access from being performed This is driving us nuts... it's working just fine with Windows Authentication, and the only difference is the connection string... I tried googling for it but no mention for such a scenario is found. Any ideas anyone? It's important to mention that the MDF/LDF physical files are not set with "ReadOnly" attribute, so this is not the problem.

    Given a string of text that is both adjacent to a span and inside of a div, what are some methods to modify just that text, leaving the surrounding HTML intact? For example: <div id="my-div">modify this text<span id="my-span"></span></div> I have tried things like $('#my-div').html(function(i, elem){blah;}); but this seems to cause the span to be deleted and a new span to be added, because some styling is lost. I realize that it would be best to wrap the text string in its own HTML tags before applying client-side code, but that is out of my control.
