• Show last command with up arrow on a linux c shell

  I have implemented a simple linux shell in c. Now, I am adding some features and one I immediately thought about was to be able to show the last commands with the up arrow. Question 1: However, I have no idea how to accomplish this. Do you? Question 2: Any comment on how to store the "history" commands are also appreciated. I suppose something like a queue which allows access to all elements would be a good idea. Am I wrong? Do I have to implement it or is there already some good implementation out there I should know about? Thanks.

• Show javascript execution progress

  I have some javascript functions that take about 1 to 3 seconds. (some loops or mooML templating code.) During this time, the browser is just frozen. I tried showing a "loading" animation (gif image) before starting the operation and hiding it afterwords. but it just doesnt work. The browser freezes before it could render the image and hides it immediately when the function ends. Is there anything I can do to tell the browser to update the screen before going into javascript execution., Something like Application.DoEvents or background worker threads. So any comments/suggestions about how to show javascript execution progress. My primary target browser is IE6, but should also work on all latest browsers

  I have built a Library project (DLL) in .NET. And sometimes I use the DLL along with its PDB file as a reference in some other projects. Now in the new project, I cant browse through the code of the DLL to debug. I can only see the definitions of class/methods/variables. That's by using "show definition" by browsing through the "class view" However, only in case of an exception I the contents of the DLL opens and I could see the entire code of the DLL from the new project. How could I see the contents (code) of the DLL before an exception occur?

  Hello, I'm trying to track the error thrown by SQL Server 2005. The problem is SQL Server reports it in my native language so it's hard for me to google it. I think that the core issue would be avialable in English in SQL Server LOGS. I'm running SQL Server Management Studio Express, going to "Management" node, and then SQL Server Logs. I can see the list of logs but I cannot enter them, the only available option in context menu is Refresh. Could you help me to show the contents of those logs?

  I am creating a e-learning application , where the students (wireless) connect to the teachers machine, the teacher hosts a tomcat server. the teacher has a set of HTML web-pages(each of which can be thought of as a slide). and the students can view a web slide-show on his/her browser... the problem is.... i want the pages on the students browser to be redirected according to the teachers input.. in short: i want the server to automatically redirect all the client browsers to the next page when the teacher wants it to be so... how do i do it?? • Safari does not show images, but FireFox does

  I have a website that I am working on: http://keramed.com in FireFox on my Mac the image on the main page shows up. (The Endoshield DSEK Graft Injector) Now check in Safari and the image does not show up. I have tried taking the original .PSD and saving it as a .jpg or .png and it does not matter. I have commented out all stylesheets and this still does not solve it. The rest of my images are showing up, just not thing one. I just dont understand I am stumped. EDIT: Photoshop says it is an RGB 8-bit image.

  Currently there is a bug in WordPress if you have a Posts Page set under: Settings-Reading-A Static Page-Posts Page If there are posts, than the page (e.g. with a slug called news) displays the post, and uses index.php from the theme. But, with this configuration, if there are no posts, then it calls the theme's 404 page. This is definitely a bug, and has been submitted (Ticket #10822). It should be letting index.php show whatever it wants upon !have_posts(), but right now the page doesn't seem to be called at all. My question is: is there a workaround for this bug without modifying core wp files? I'd be open to a plugin, theme changes, a custom page template, htaccess changes, etc.

• Silverlight datagrid don't show any data with anonymous query RIA services

I have an anonymous linq query that I bind to a datagrid, when I debug it brings alright the data but it doesn't show in the datagrid, I suspect that the request to RIA services isn't completed before I bound it to the datagrid. I could use the LoadOperation<() Completed event. But it only works with Defined Entities so how can I do that?   I need to show an UIScrollView with some pages for present the app to user when launched for the first time. My slides are working correctly, lefting the logic to present it. Is a good practice to set the UIScrollViewController as root controller and set a NSUserDefault variable to control the presentation and redirect to main controller or set the main ViewController as root normally and call the presentation view if needed is a better approach?   Hi, I have a page where i in my masterpage have a toolbar with a "Home" button to the far left. This button is not in a contentplaceholder but on the page. I want to have the opportunity for derived pages to add their own controls or whatever to the toolbar to be whown after the "home" button. But how to do this? I have tried to put in a content placeholder, but it seems that i cannot get it to show inline with the other stuff, it breaks and the content of the contentplaceholder is shown below the button instead. anyone know how to solve this? /Brian
