  • Getting java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: javax.servlet.ServletContext in junit

    I'm using spring mvc in my application and I'm writing junit test cases for a DAO. But when I run the test, I get an error java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: javax.servlet.ServletContext. In the stacktrace, I see that this error is caused during getApplicationContext. In my applicationContext, I havent defined any servlet. Servlet mapping is done only in web.xml so I dont understand why I'm getting this error. I used git-svn to convert an SVN repo to git on github: $ git svn clone -s http://svn.osqa.net/svnroot/osqa/ osqa $ cd osqa $ git remote add origin [email protected]:turian/osqa.git $ git push origin master I then made a few changes in my git repo, committed, and pushed to github. Now, I am on a new machine. I want to take upstream SVN changes, merge them with my github repo, and push them to my github repo. This documentation says: "If you ever lose your local copy, just run the import again with the same settings, and you’ll get another working directory with all the necessary SVN metainfo." So I did the following. But none of the commands work as desired. How do I track upstream SVN changes using git-svn and github?     hi, i am looking for a way to implement the "gcd" function used in matlab in another language but i really cant understand the way it functions. it says in http://www.mathworks.com/access/helpdesk/help/techdoc/ref/gcd.html that: "[G,C,D] = gcd(A,B) returns both the greatest common divisor array G, and the arrays C and D, which satisfy the equation: A(i).*C(i) + B(i).*D(i) = G(i)." but it says nothing about how it calculates C and D. i would be grateful if someone has a clearer idea about this subject! thanks:)

    If you use stl containers together with reference_wrappers of POD types, the following code works just fine: int i = 3; std::vector< boost::reference_wrapper<int> > is; is.push_back(boost::ref(i)); std::cout << (std::find(is.begin(),is.end(),i)!=is.end()) << std::endl; However, if you use non-POD types such as (contrived example): struct Integer { int value; bool operator==(const Integer& rhs) const { return value==rhs.value; } bool operator!=(const Integer& rhs) const { return !(*this == rhs); } }; It doesn't suffice to declare those comparison operators, instead you have to declare: bool operator==(const boost::reference_wrapper<Integer>& lhs, const Integer& rhs) { return boost::unwrap_ref(lhs)==rhs; } And possibly also: bool operator==(const Integer& lhs, const boost::reference_wrapper<Integer>& rhs) { return lhs==boost::unwrap_ref(rhs); } In order to get the equivalent code to work: Integer j = { 0 }; std::vector< boost::reference_wrapper<Integer> > js; js.push_back(boost::ref(j)); std::cout << (std::find(js.begin(),js.end(),j)!=js.end()) << std::endl; Now, I'm wondering if this is really the way it's meant to be done, since it seems impractical. It just seems there should be a simpler solution, e.g. templates: template<class T> bool operator==(const boost::reference_wrapper<T>& lhs, const T& rhs) { return boost::unwrap_ref(lhs)==rhs; } template<class T> bool operator==(const T& lhs, const boost::reference_wrapper<T>& rhs) { return lhs==boost::unwrap_ref(rhs); } There's probably a good reason why reference_wrapper behaves the way it does (possibly to accomodate non-POD types without comparison operators?). Maybe there already is an elegant solution and I just haven't found it.

    When I try to create a new branch tracking a remote branch, I get this: che@nok ~/prj/git-ipc $ git branch -t test main/some_remote_branch error: Not tracking: ambiguous information for ref refs/remotes/main/some_remote_branch The source seems to somehow search for branches to track and throws me out because it finds less more than one, but I don't exactly get what it's looking for since I already told it what to track on the command line. Can anybody tell me what's going on and how to fix it?

  • Why do we need to use out keyword while calling a method

    When a method is defined with an out parameter, why do I have to specify the out keyword when calling it. Its already there in the method definition, and the runtime should know that any parameter passed will be an out parameter. It would make sense if the compiler will accept the argument with or without out keyword, with different semantic, but if you MUST add the keyword to make the code compile, whats the use? Shouldn't the compiler handle it automatically? Same for ref

I am about to start a project, and although my mySql is OK, I can't get my head around what required for this: I have a table of web addresses. id,url 1,http://www.url1.com 2,http://www.url2.com 3,http://www.url3.com 4,http://www.url4.com I have a table of users. id,name 1,fred bloggs 2,john bloggs 3,amy bloggs I have a table of categories. id,name 1,science 2,tech 3,adult 4,stackoverflow I have a table of categories the user likes as numerical ref relating to the category unique ref. For example: user,category 1,4 1,6 1,7 1,10 2,3 2,4 3,5 . . . I have a table of scores relating to each website address. When a user visits one of these sites and says they like it, it's stored like so: url_ref,category 4,2 4,3 4,6 4,2 4,3 5,2 5,3 . . . So based on the above data, URL 4 would score (in it's own right) as follows: 2=2 3=2 6=1 What I was hoping to do was pick out a random URL from over 2,000,000 records based on the current users interests. So if the logged in user likes categories 1,2,3 then I would like to ORDER BY a score generated based on their interest. If the logged in user likes categories 2 3 and 6 then the total score would be 5. However, if the current logged in user only like categories 2 and 6, the URL score would be 3. So the order by would be in context of the logged in users interests. Think of stumbleupon. I was thinking of using a set of VIEWS to help with sub queries. I'm guessing that all 2,000,000 records will need to be looked at and based on the id of the url it will look to see what scores it has based on each selected category of the current user. So we need to know the user ID and this gets passed into the query as a constant from the start. Ain't got a clue! Chris Denman

Is this something that must be handled manually in code, or is it somehow implicit and I'm not recognizing it? Maybe through helper methods or classes? I want to apply it to math operations to ensure 3 + 5 * 10 results in 53 instead of 80.

    Hi, I've got a webapp running on a Websphere 6.1 Server which JNDI lookups for a datasource. This webapp runs fine, the Websphere server recognizes the datasource ref in the web.xml etc.. Now we added a second webapp which should use this datasource with same configuration but I only getting a NULL Object when I invoke my JNDI lookup and a ClassCastException is thrown (which is correct). Maybe one of you has some suggestions?

  • How to copy DispatcherObject (BitmapSource) into different thread?

    Hi, I am trying to figure out how can I copy DispatcherObject (in my case BitmapSource) into another thread. Use case: I have a WPF app that needs to show window in a new thread (the app is actually Outlook addin and we need to do this because Outlook has some hooks in the main UI thread and is stealing certain hotkeys that we need to use - 'lost in translation' in interop of Outlook, WPF (which we use for UI), and Winforms (we need to use certain microsoft-provided winforms controls)). With that, I have my implementation of WPFMessageBox, that is configured by setting some static properties - and and one of them is BitmapSource for icon. This is used so that in startup I can set WPFMessageBox.Icon once, and since then, every WPFMessageBox will have the same icon. The problem is that BitmapSource, which is assigned into icon, is a DispatcherObject, and when read, it will throw InvalidOperationException: "The calling thread cannot access this object because a different thread owns it.". How can I clone that BitmapSource into the actual thread? It has Clone() and CloneCurrentValue() methods, which don't work (they throw the same exception as well). It also occured to me to use originalIcon.Dispatcher.Invoke( do the cloning here ) - but the BitmapSource's Dispatcher is null, and still - I'd create a copy on a wrong thread and still couldnt use it on mine. BitmapSource.IsFrozen == true. Any idea on how to copy the BitmapSource into different thread (without completely reconstructing it from an image file in a new thread)? However, when I try to pass the following: {'$ref': 'projects', '$id': '1029412409721', 'project_name': 'My Project'} Pymongo raises an error: pymongo.errors.InvalidName: key '$id' must not start with '$' It would seem that pymongo reserve the $ for the special key, leading me to wonder if it is even possible to do what I'm trying to do?
