  • regular expression to remove original message from reply mail using in java ?

    - by ravi ravi
In my forum, users can reply through email. I am handling mails from their reply. When they are replying the original message getting appended. I want to get only the reply message not the original message. I have to write regular expression for gmail & hotmail. I written regex for gmail as follows : \n.wrote:(?s).--End of Post-- It is removing the original message except date. I want to remove the date also. before removing the original message : " hi 33 On Tue, May 11, 2010 at 4:18 PM, Mmmmm, Rrrrr wrote: The following update has been posted to this discussion: test as user 222 [$MESSAGE_SIGNATURE_HEADER$] --End of Post-- " When I use the above regex it is filtering as follows : " hi 33 On Tue, May 11, 2010 at 4:18 PM, Mmmmm, Rrrrr " Here i want only the actual message 'hi 33' not that date. How can I filter the date using above regex? Also I need regex for Hotmail also. I appreciate for any reply. Thanks in advance.

  • How can I add HTML formating to 'Swift Mail tutorial based' PHP email?

    - by Daniel
Hello, I have developed a competition page for a client, and they wish for the email the customer receives be more than simply text. The tutorial I used only provided simple text, within the 'send body message'. I am required to add html to thank the customer for entering, with introducing images to this email. The code is: //send the welcome letter function send_email($info){ //format each email $body = format_email($info,'html'); $body_plain_txt = format_email($info,'txt'); //setup the mailer $transport = Swift_MailTransport::newInstance(); $mailer = Swift_Mailer::newInstance($transport); $message = Swift_Message::newInstance(); $message ->setSubject('Thanks for entering the competition'); $message ->setFrom(array('[email protected]' => 'FromEmailExample')); $message ->setTo(array($info['email'] => $info['name'])); $message ->setBody('Thanks for entering the competition, we will be in touch if you are a lucky winner.'); $result = $mailer->send($message); return $result; } This function.php sheet is working and the customer is recieving their email ok, I just need to change the ('Thanks for entering the competition, we will be in touch if you are a lucky winner.') to have HTML instead... Please, if you can, provide me with an example of how I can integrate HTML into this function. Cheers in advance. :-)

  • Is there any way to send a mail from within my iPhone application?

    - by Mustafa
I want to send an email from within my iPhone application, primarily because i don't want to quit my application. Is there ANY way to do that? Solution: 1) I found this open source API which does that: http://code.google.com/p/skpsmtpmessage/ Anyone can write their own smtp client for this purpose. (If you can invest that much time - that is) 2) Use a web service to send the message details and handle message sending functionality at server end. Thanks.

  • Avoid being blocked by web mail companies for mass/bulk emailing ?

    - by Johannes
Our company is sending out a lot of emails per day and planning to send even more in future. (thousands) Also there are mass mailouts as well in the ten thousands every now and then. Anybody has experience with hotmail, yahoo (web.de, gmx.net) and similar webmail companies blocking your emails because "too many from the same source in a period of time" have been sent to them? What can be done about it? Spreading email mailouts over a whole day/night? At what rate? (we are talking about legal emailing just to make sure...)

  • How can I retrieve an e-mail, open a .msg attachment, and parse the attachment, in ASP.NET?

    - by Brisbe42
I need to be able to make a program that looks through a mailbox of bounced messages, where the messages come back with the initial message in a .msg attachment, and open the .msg attachment for processing in ASP.NET 2.0. Is there any sort of code that might help in this? I've been looking at http://stackoverflow.com/questions/44383/reading-email-using-pop3-in-c as a starting point, but can't figure out how best to open the attachment from there, or if there's some easier way I'm missing.

  • SPF record doesn't work (not sure which DNS server to tweak)

    - by Ion
Problem: Google (and perhaps others) marks our emails as SPF neutral. Let me give you some background about the setup: initially got a dedicated server (Hetzner) with Plesk installed to host a domain/web application, let's say: bigjaws.com. Plesk automatically creates a DNS zone for it with some records for the various services it provides out of the box, e.g. webmail.bigjaws.com as a CNAME to bigjaws.com to provide Horde/whatever, etc. Let me point out four relevant of these records (where XXX.XXX.XXX.158 is our dedicated IP): bigjaws.com. A XXX.XXX.XXX.158 mail.bigjaws.com. A XXX.XXX.XXX.158 bigjaws.com MX (10) mail.bigjaws.com. bigjaws.com. TXT v=spf1 +a +mx -all The above records are not(?) valid anymore though, because after using this dedicated server for a while, our site got bigger and bigger so we decided to move our operations over to AWS (EC2, RDS, ELB, etc), but we retained the mail functionality as is, i.e. emails from [email protected] are sent by connecting to our dedicated server where Plesk takes care of things. This was decided in order not to setup anything from scratch. Of course for all DNS-related things we now use Route53. In Route53 I have the following records: mail.schoox.com. A XXX.XXX.XXX.158 bigjaws.com. MX (10) mail.bigjaws.com bigjaws.com. SPF "v=spf1 +ip4:XXX.XXX.XXX.158 +mx ~all" From my understanding of SPF, the SPF status should have been passed: I designate that all email being sent by bigjaws.com from XXX.XXX.XXX.158 are valid/not spam (I added +mx there but I'm not sure if needed). When a mail server receives an email, doesn't it lookup the SPF record of the domain and checks against the IP it got the email from? Checking with spfquery: root@box:~# spfquery -ip XXX.XXX.XXX.158 -sender [email protected] -rcpt-to [email protected] StartError Context: Failed to query MAIL-FROM ErrorCode: (2) Could not find a valid SPF record Error: No DNS data for 'bigjaws.com'. EndError noneneutral Please see http://www.openspf.org/Why?id=employee1%40bigjaws.com&ip=XXX.XXX.XXX.158&receiver=spfquery : Reason: default spfquery: XXX.XXX.XXX.158 is neither permitted nor denied by domain of bigjaws.com Received-SPF: neutral (spfquery: XXX.XXX.XXX.158 is neither permitted nor denied by domain of bigjaws.com) client-ip=XXX.XXX.XXX.158; [email protected]; If I go to the address listed above (openspf.org) it tells me that the message should have been accepted(!): spfquery rejected a message that claimed an envelope sender address of [email protected]. spfquery received a message from static.158.XXX.XXX.XXX.clients.your-server.de (XXX.XXX.XXX.158) that claimed an envelope sender address of [email protected]. The domain bigjaws.com has authorized static.158.XXX.XXX.XXX.clients.your-server.de (XXX.XXX.XXX.158) to send mail on its behalf, so the message should have been accepted. It is impossible for us to say why it was rejected. What should I do? If the problem persists, contact the bigjaws.com postmaster. Also, here are some headers from an email sent by one of our [email protected] addresses to a gmail.com address (by the way, bigjaws.de listed in the "Received: from" field was the initial domain hosted on the dedicated server before adding the .com one -- both are still listed as separate subscriptions under Plesk). • "Mail merge"-like functionality in Dreamweaver, or in any other web editing tool?

    - by Chris Farmer
I have inherited several related, low-traffic web sites to manage and edit. These sites are implemented with static html, and they've accrued lots of stray tags and other cruft. I want to try to clean these up and migrate them to some common page template framework to simplify design and data changes and improve overall consistency. The pages will change on the timescale of weeks, and since the current web hosting plan does not support any dynamic server technologies, I was hoping to just use Dreamweaver or some other tool to merge my content data with some templating structure. I'd like to do content updates every several days and then run the content back through my templates, resulting in new static html that I can upload to the host. Do any tools support this kind of poor-man's data-driven web application? Are there better ways to approach this problem, aside from moving to a new hosting plan and using ASP.NET or PHP?

  • How can I keep curl output out of mail from my cronjob?

  • A web application that uses someone else's mail server?

    - by John
I'm building a web application, call it http://mywebapp.com, where a user should be able to create a newsletter and email it to everyone in his user account's contact list. So he can check mark all his friends, select an html template, fill in the body content, and send. The only catch to this is that after the user sends the email, the recipient must NOT be allowed to trace the source of the email back to http://mywebapp.com. The reason for this condition is because the user is a "reseller" of my business who wants to appear as if he's an independent business. If liability issues arise due to the reseller's unduly usage, I do not want to be caught up in the legal issues. Hence, I do not want anything about my business or technology to be traceable back to me by newsletter recipients. What's the best way to achieve this?

  • Any way to detect SMS to E-Mail Gateways?

    - by Paul
I want to create a PHP app that can send text messages. There are different gateways for different email carriers. Is there any library I could use that would be able to lookup or detect which gateway to use just by passing the phone number into it? This way I can take whatever email address I get out and use PHP's email functions to send a message. Thanks in advance!
