• CDN with South America peering points / edge nodes

  Hello, Does anyone one know of a CDN (Content Delivery Network) with true South American peering points or edge nodes? This seems to be quite rare. It seems that most CDNs serve Central and South America from Texas. However, our application requires low latency in Brazil, so this is not a good solution for us. We would like to avoid having to set up servers in South America just for this piece of the application, but may end up doing that. Thanks, Bill

• Twitter authentication without authorization

  I wish to get the tweeter usename of a visitor to my site. I do not wish to post statuses or access any other information. I'd be happy to use OAuth, possibly with a 'Sign in with Twitter' button, but this then takes the user to a page which requests authorization for the application, that I wish to avoid. • is it possible to start coda slider on a hidden div?

  i have a div id=holder, and inside a coda slider. it works alright, but to avoid the flickering in certain browsers, i decided to make holder display:none, and then display:block on $(document).ready The problem is that, for some reason, when the parent div is display:none, the coda slider doesnt have any effect. any workarounds or ideas for this issue? thanks!

  I'm using interface builder's tag feature to access some UILabels I'm instantiating in a xib file. Since this a UITextViewCell I want to avoid superfluous method calls, but I want to do it right too. Thus when I do: UILabel *label = (UILabel *)[cell viewWithTag:1]; I'm wondering if I should wrap it up like so: if([[cell viewWithTag:1] isKindOfClass [UITableViewCell class]]) { UILabel *label = (UILabel *)[cell viewWithTag:1]; } Any discussion on this would be appreciated.   I am using the following command to grep stuff in subdirs find . | xargs grep -s 's:text' However, this also finds stuff like <s:textfield name="sdfsf"...../> What can I do to avoid that so it just finds stuff like <s:text name="sdfsdf"/> OR for that matter....also finds <s:text somethingElse="lkjkj" name="lkkj" basically s:text and name should be on same line....

I'd like to say "give me all the files in this folder (or subfolder) that were modified after X/Y/ZZZZ" and dump those files to a folder other than the folder they would normally go to. I know enough powershell to hack about and get this done, eventually, but I'm hoping to avoid that.

  Basically, I know how to create graph data structures and use Dijkstra's algorithm in programming languages where side effects are allowed. Typically, graph algorithms use a structure to mark certain nodes as 'visited', but this has side effects, which I'm trying to avoid. I can think of one way to implement this in a functional language, but it basically requires passing around large amounts of state to different functions, and I'm wondering if there is a more space-efficient solution.

• Installing Ruby 1.9.1 on Ubuntu?

  I wonder about installing the latest version of Ruby on Ubuntu 9.04. Now I can run through the ./configure and make stuff fine, but what I wonder about: how to avoid conflicts with the packaging system? For example if some other package I install depends on Ruby, wouldn't the package manager install the (outdated) Ruby package and in the worst case overwrite my files? So I think I need some way to tell Ubuntu that Ruby is in fact already installed?

  (Can't believe this hasn't already been asked, but I can't find a dup) In Visual Studio with lots of projects, when I first open the solution, I sometimes get the warning Object of type "X" cannot be converted to object of type "X". Generally rebuilding seems to make it go away, but does anyone know what this is caused by, and how to avoid it? UPDATE I read somewhere that deleting all your resx files and rebuilding can help. I unthinkingly tried this. Not a good idea...

  I'm trying to match a SEDOL (exactly 7 chars: 6 alpha-numeric chars followed by 1 numeric char) My regex ([A-Z 0-9]{6})[0-9]{1} matches correctly but strings greater than 7 chars that begin with a valid match also match (if you see what I mean :)). For example: B3KMJP4 matches correctly but so does: B3KMJP4x which shouldn't match. Can anyone show me how to avoid this?

Is anyone familiar with some decent tutorials on some of the intricacies of this library? Maybe just some better docs?
