• jQuery, drop image on overlaping target

  I am using jQuery to detect drop on target, the target in question is a image. If i drag one image upon another, and then drop it, it shall replace the target source with the dropped source. This works fine until two images lies upon each other. Some of the images lies next to each other and some times the target images overlap. if i drop, both the visible image and the image beneath is replaced with the dragged image. I hope the problem is clear and their is any good solution

• ( Flex ) How can we get an imagesnapshot of the entire component without scrollbars?

  Hi there I can take snapshot of a component. But the problem is the component is lil bigger with scroll bars. The saved image has scrollbars (only the visible area is getting saved). What i need is I want the entire component to be saved as an image. This exact functionality is available while we print the component using FlexPrintJob, where by setting the FlexPrintJobScaleType.NONE. But here in my case i want it to be saved using ImageSnapShot ( not thru FlexPrintJob ). Thanks Advance, Sriss

• Blackberry: Simulator stuck up launching through JDE 5.x

  Hi, When i try to build my project in Blackberry JDE 5.0.0.25. It built successfully. And then when i click on Debug menu "Go" button, simulator is launching and stuck up lanching itself forever, does't come up the simulator screen normally and visible with apps showing. When i built the same project in Blackberry JDE 4.7, it built successfully and then click on "Go", launched the simulator normally and showed the app to play with it. Could someone guide me what should be problem? Do i need to set any settings specific to BB JDE 5.x? I have just the basic hello world empty screen in my project, so don't provide any code here. • What would make offsetParent null?

  I am trying to do positioning in JavaScript. I am using a cumulative position function based on the classic quirksmode function that sums offsetTop and offsetLeft for each offsetParent until the top node. However, I am running into an issue where the element I'm interested in has no offsetParent in Firefox. In IE offsetParent exists, but offsetTop and offsetLeft all sum up to 0, so it has the same problem in effect as in Firefox. What would cause an element that is clearly visible and usable on the screen to not have an offsetParent? Or, more practically, how can I find the position of this element in order to place a drop-down beneath it?

• UIViewController prevent view from unloading

  When my iPhone app receives a Memory warning the views of UIViewControllers that are not currently visible get unloaded. In one particular controller unloading the view and the outlets is rather fatal. I'm looking for a way to prevent this view from being unloaded. I find this behavior rather stupid - I have a cache mechanism, so when a memory warning comes - I unload myself tons of data and I free enough memory, but I definitely need this view untouched. I see UIViewController has a method 'unloadViewIfReloadable', which gets called when the Memory Warning comes. Does anybody know how to tell Cocoa Touch that my view is not reloadable? Any other suggestions how to prevent my view from being unloaded on Memory Warning? Thanks in advance

• Android ScrollView issue

  Guys, We are trying to make a board with sticky notes. We have used ScrollView in which we have LinearLayout. We have four columns. If there are more than 3 notes in one column, scrollview comes up. Issue is, if I try to move Row 5 column 1 note to Row 1 Column 2, scroll views hides all the notes. If we scroll to top of the board, notes become visible again. Any idea what's the issue ? Thanks Salman

• Obfuscate strings in Python

  I have a password string that must be passed to a method. Everything works fine but I don't feel comfortable storing the password in clear text. Is there a way to obfuscate the string or to truly encrypt it? I'm aware that obfuscation can be reverse engineered, but I think I should at least try to cover up the password a bit. At the very least it wont be visible to a indexing program, or a stray eye giving a quick look at my code. I am aware of pyobfuscate but I don't want the whole program obfuscated, just one string and possibly the whole line itself where the variable is defined. Target platform is GNU Linux Generic (If that makes a difference)

• Dynamically add a new row as Add in UITableView in edit mode?

  I have a table view with 0 or n rows of data from datastore. I added a customized Edit button on the right of the view's navigation bar. By default, when the edit button is clicked, in the action event, I set the view as edit mode: [self.tableView setEditing:YES animated:YES]; I would like to add a row at the end of the table view with Add button as an accessory on the left when the table view is in edit mode. And the "Add" row will not be displayed when the view is not in edit mode. This is very similar to the case of iPhon'e Contacts application when a contact is in edit mode. I am not sure if I need to add a row dynamically, and how if so? An alternative way I guess is to add more row when tableView:numberOfRowsInSection: is called? If later is the case, I have to make it hidden when the view is not in edit mode and visible when the view is in edit.

I know there are tools such as baksmali / smali to disassemble / re-assemble given classes.dex from .apk, but not sure limitation what could be modified from there on? I'm trying to add additional activity, to modify starting launcher activity (may be from androidmanifest.xml) from original apk, then re-pack and sign to make complete single .apk... all need to be done out of build time, no raw source or build structure visible, only .apk as input... ANY IDEA?

• Flex Datagrid File Download old value

  Hi, We use a AIR client and WAMP server. Got a weird issue with Flex datagrid. When I download an image by double clicking on a datagrid row, the file gets downloaded correctly. But when I go on to select another row for download, even though the correct parameters are being passed, it again prompts download of old file. Upon cancelling that and trying again, it picks up the selected row.   Hello everyone! I'm having a problem with printing. Is it possible to print a (customized) DataGrid which doesn't fit the page? a) Using a ViewBox to make it fit one page. My problem here is that I can get the PrintableArea.Width and PrintableArea.Height in the PrintPage EventHandler, from the PrintPageEventArgs, but in that Event Handler I can't set the size of an UIElement before it gets printed. b) Multiple pages. Is it possible somehow to print the whole DataGrid, even the parts which are not visible (don't fit the page) and to somehow make the PrintableArea only a part of the DataGrid?

  While reskining GridView (ListView with more columns), I ran into a problem, that I couldn't change the color of the Highlighted row. The Highlight color was still in system default. I finally managed to change the color of the selected row, but the highlight is still visible around the border of the row plus i need to get rid of the Highlight in the ColumnHeaders. • deny iframe javascript to scroll parent window

  I've a site with banner ads, loaded using iframes. The banner ads always scroll the parent window when the banner doesn't complety fit into the visible region. This is really annoying and I'd like to deny the javascript of the iframes to scroll the main window. Here is what I already tried: Move the iframe src code to another domain. Normally js from another domain should not be allowed to access the parent window, is it?! This doesn't work. Overwrite window.moveTo, window.scrollTo, window.scrollBy in parent with my own functions. This doesn't seem to work neither, as none of these functions seems to be called. :-( Any help would be really great :-)

• iPhoneOS SDK - Remove Corner Rounding from views (iPad problem)

  Hi Guys This might be a little bit picky, but in the iPad SplitViewController setup, there are 2 views. Each of the views has a very small black corner rounding. (This is probably the same with iPhone apps too). This rounding is visible in the image below. What I would like to do is remove the black rounding, so the UI doesnt get these two little bumps along the bottom. Has anyone done this, or know how to? -Its surely possible. I have so far come across some features that achieve this like the RequiredFieldValidator inside an update panels. However, these are specific to a single task. What are my options to achieve these client side updates in Visual Studio? At the moment I don't know any JavaScript, so I would prefer another solution if it exists.

• Displaying UserControls based on the type a TreeView selection is bound to

  I am making an app in WPF in a style similar to Windows Explorer, with a TreeView on the left and a pane on the right. I want the contents of the right pane to change depending on the type of the selected element in the TreeView. For example, say the top level in the Tree View contains objects of class "A", and if you expand the "A" object you'll see a list of "B" objects as children of the "A" object. If the "A" object is selected, I want the right pane to show a user control for "A", and if "B" is selected I want the right pane to show a user control for "B". I've currently got this working by: setting up the TreeView with one HierarchialDataTemplate per type adding all the UserControls to the right pane, but collapsed implementing SelectedItemChanged on the TreeView, and setting the appropriate usercontrol to visible and the others to collapsed. However, I'm sure there's a better/more elegant way to switch out the views based on the type the selection is bound to, perhaps by making more use of data binding... any ideas?

• iPhone: scroll view with arbitrary page/"settling" boundaries?

  Hi all, I'm trying to figure out if I can get what I want out of UIScrollView through some trickery or whether I need to roll my own scroll view: I have a series of items in row that I want to scroll through. One item should always be centered in the view, but other items should be visible to either side. In other words, I want normal scrolling and edge bouncing, but I want the deceleration when the user ends a touch to naturally settle at some specified stop point. (Actually now that I think of it, this behavior is similar to coverflow in this respect.) I know UIScrollView doesn't do this out of the box, but does anyone have suggestions for how it might be made to do this, or if anyone's spotted any code that accomplishes something similar (I'm loathe to reimplement all the math for deceleration and edge bounce) Thanks!

• Why are the contents of my UITableViewCell disappearing?

  Hey everyone, I am learning about using the checkmark cell accessory and am wondering why the contents of my cell is disappearing when toggling it. • Prototype mouseleave for two connected elements

  I have created a small navigation element that is positioned right on top of another element. It is only shown when a user mousenters/mouseovers the main element. I am having some trouble with the prototype. I would like this small nav element to be hidden when a user mouses out of the main box, but I would also like the small nav element to remain visible if a user mouses out of the main box but mouses into the small nav at the same time. This is my attempt so far with some pseudo-code to hopefully explain: $('main_box').observe('mouseenter', function(){ $('small_div').show() }) $('main_box').observe('mouseleave', function(){ if this element is $('small_div') then Event.stop() $('small_div').observe('mouseleave', function(){ if this element is $('main_box') Event.stop observe $('main_box') mouseleave else $('small_div').hide(); }) else $('small_div').hide(); }) The main thing I'm having trouble with is figuring out what element the mouse is over at a given point in time.   Hello everyone, I've got the following two commands for imagemagick in the command line: convert in.png container-mask.png +matte -compose CopyOpacity -composite out.png composite container.png out.png -compose multiply final.png Those two commands include 3 files: in.png: the file that should be masked container-mask.png: the back/white mask of the areas of container.png where in.png should be visible container.png image that includes the container for in.png, the one that has been masked in black/white with container-mask.png Now the question is how to transpose this commands into PHP calls.
