Yes we can cast INT to a WCHAR array using WCHAR*, but when we are retrieving back the result (WCHAR[] to INT), I just realize that we need to read size of 2 from WCHAR array since INT is 4 BYTEs which is equal to 2 WCHARs. • C# PropertyGrid drag drop

  I'm trying to implement drag/drop support to a propertygrid in C# using VS2005 (.NET 2.0). The propertygrid can handle the dragenter etc. events, but there doesn't seem to be a way to get the griditem under the pointer during a drag event. The best I've been able to get so far is to use the selectedgriditem property to retrieve a custom propertydescriptor and set the value, but this requires a grid item to already be selected before starting the drag/drop operation. Has anyone had any luck with implementing this? Thanks :-)

• Trouble using Prototype JS

  I have three files named like: AjxDm.php db_test website.php What I am trying to do is AjxDm.php in this file I click and I am using Ajax.Request and it directed me to the db_test.php. In this file I am retrieving a value from the database and I assign the value into a dropdown. Again when I try to select one of the options in the dropdown it is direceting me to the Website.php using Ajax.Request with the dropdown selected value and retrieve data from database and display. The problem is that when I call from AjxDm.php to Db_test it works but when I select option in db_test.php it doesn't find a JavaScript function which direct me to the website.php. What can I do to make it work?

  So I have made a stripe payment option in my app. When I click the button pay now, it shows me that the payment is successful. and when I go to my stripe account and go to stripe-test and check logs, I can see my test payment with the code 200 OK. But this payment doesn't show in stripe-test events, or in stripe-test payments.   Hi all, I have a Silverlight 4 Business Project where I have enabled the ASP.NET Authentication/Authorization role information. I would like to pass the currently authenticated user's account information from the app.xaml.cs codebehind to a different XAML page, but I have no idea how that is done, or if it's even possible. My goal is to databind the IsEnabled property of various buttons of my target XAML page, based on whether the current user is in a particular admin related role or not. The Application_UserLoaded event handler of app.xaml.cs seems to be the safest event handler to initiate this task because it fires only after the user's account information is loaded from the server.   It seemed a trivial matter at the beginning but so far I had not managed to get unique identifier for a given resource using SPARKQL. What I mean is given, let say, rdf:Description rdf:about="http://..." and then some properties identifying this resource, what I want to do is to first find this very resource and then retrieve all the triples given some uri. I have tried naive approaches by writing statements in a WHERE clause such as ?x rdf:about ?y and ?x rdfs:about ?y. I hope I am being precise.

OK, but how to retrieve that user name in the controller ? Is it possible without registering System.Security.Principal namespace in the controller ? In the other words - the controller must know whose user wants to do some action (e.g. change account data). I could store it's name in the Html.Hidden control on each View but I don't want to have a mess in my Views

• Is it possible to use Integrated Windows Auth when Server isn't on the domain?

  Our production web servers ARE NOT part of the domain, but we'd like people to be able to log in automatically since they are logged into the domain on their PC. Is there anyway to get the browser (IE7+) to send the appropriate information to the server (IIS6) so I can retrieve the ServerVariables["AUTH_USER"] or ServerVariables["LOGON_USER"]? I presume the answer is no since if I set the security for windows auth to "on" and anonymous access to "off", then the server wouldn't know what do do with any user information for a domain which it has no knowledge of. I just want to know for sure before I give the SSO team a "not possible" answer.

• url encoded forward slashes breaking my codeigniter app

  i’m trying to create a url string that works like this: /app/process/example.com/index.html so in other words, /app/process/$URL i then retrieve the url with $this->uri->segment(3); the forward slashes in the URL will of course be a problem accessing uri segments, so i’ll go ahead and url encode the URL portion: /app/process/example.com%2Findex.html .. but now I just get a 404 saying ... Not Found The requested URL /app/process/example.com/index.html was not found on this server. it appears that my url encoding of forward slashes breaks CI’s URI parser. what can i do to get around this problem?

  I want to be able to maintain certain objects between application restarts. To do that, I want to write specific cached items out to disk in Global.asax Application_End() function and re-load them back on Application_Start(). I currently have a cache helper class, which uses the following method to return the cached value: return HttpContext.Current.Cache[key]; Problem: during Application_End(), HttpContext.Current is null since there is no web request (it's an automated cleanup procedure) - therefore, I cannot access .Cache[] to retrieve any of the items to save to disk. Question: how can I access the cache items during Application_End()?

  The scenario I want two different protocols interact with each other is as below: A and B is two different protocols. First A will interact with the server and retrieve some values. Only after A finishes retrieving the values , B will start to interact with the server. Now my problem is that is there an elegant way to initial B when A retrieves the values. Currently I just initial B in A's data process function. But i don't think that this is an elegant way. What I mean an elegant way is that the initialization of B is done by a flow controller or something like that, but not another protocol. Is there an elegant way? such using defered or any other things. I'm just new to twisted, not knowing very much about defered.... Thank you very much!

• Looping through values in NSDictionary throws fault

• Portable and Secure Document Repository

  I'm trying to find a document manager/repository (WinXP) that can be used from a USB disk. I would like a tool that will allow you to add all documents into a single repository (or a secure file system). Ideally you would login to this portable application to add or retrieve a document and document shouldn't be accessible outside of the application. I have found an application called Benubird Pro (app is portable) that allows you to add files to a single repository, but downsides are that it is not secure and the repository is always stored on the PC and not on the USB disk.   I'm pretty experienced with Perl and Ruby but new to Python so I'm hoping someone can show me the Pythonic way to accomplish the following task. I want to compare several lines against multiple regular expressions and retrieve the matching group. In Ruby it would be something like this: STDIN.each_line do |line| case line when /^A:(.*?)$/ then puts "FOO: #{$1}" when /^B:(.*?)$/ then puts "BAR: #{$1}" # when ... else puts "NO MATCH: #{line}" end end My attempts in Python are turning out pretty ugly because the matching group is returned from a call to match/search on a regular expression and Python has no assignment in conditionals or switch statements. What's the Pythonic way to do (or think!) about this problem?

• some OVERLAPS using WSASend not returning in a timely manner using GetQueuedCompletionStatus?

  Background: I'm using CreateIoCompletionPort, WSASend/Recv, and GetQueuedCompletionStatus to do overlapped socket io on my server. For flow control, when sending to the client, I only allow several WSASend() to be called when all pending OVERLAPs have popped off the IOCP. Problem: Recently, there are occassions when the OVERLAPs do not get returned to the IOCP. The thread calling GetQueuedCompletionStatus does not get them and they remain in my local pending queue. I've verified that the client DOES receive the data off the socket and the socket is connected. No errors were returned when the WSASend() calls were made. The OVERLAPs simply "never" come back without an external stimulus like the following: Disconnecting the socket from the client or server, immediately allows the GetQueuedCompletionStatus thread to retrieve the OVERLAPs Making additional calls to WSASend(), sometimes several are needed, before all the OVERLAPs suddenly pop off the queue. Question: Has anyone seen this type of behavior? Any ideas on what is causing this? Thanks, Geoffrey

• database table in Magento does not exist: sales_flat_shipment_grid

  We're using Magento 1.4.0.1 and want to use an extension from a 3rd party developer. The extension does not work, because of a join to the table "sales_flat_shipment_grid": $collection = $model->getCollection()->join('sales/shipment_grid', 'increment_id=shipment', array('order_increment_id'=>'order_increment_id', 'shipping_name' =>'shipping_name'), null,'left'); Unfortunately this table does not exist n our database. So the error "Can't retrieve entity config: sales/shipment_grid" appears. If I comment this part out, the extension is working, but I guess, it does not proper work. Does anybody know something about this table? There are a backend-option for the catalog to use the "flat table" option, but this is only for the catalog. And the tables already exists, no matter which option is checked. Thank you a lot! :-)

  I am using rails freeze 1.2.3 to run a rails app. Because the app is on a remote machine, I used ssh tunnel (ssh -l -L) to show the app on my screen. When I ran it, it correctly prompted the login page, after I put in the info, I got this error: OCIError in ServiceController Error while trying to retrieve text for error ORA-12154 I have tried the same app on a different machine w/o using freeze (because that machine has rails version 1.2.3 while current one has 2.0.2). Is that where the error comes from? Thanks.

• Simple WCF question.

  So I am learning WCF and I have run across an issue that I believe has to do with Instance Control/State but I am not sure. Workflow is as follows, Basic client/server paradigm. The client calls a Method RetrieveBusinessObjects(criteria) and the server calls the datalayer and then puts them in an IList on the server side. It does not return this list to the calling Client. The client would then call a method say DisplayBusinessObjects() which would retrieve the IList from the Server, serialize them, bring them across the wire and display them. If i try this using the WCFTestClient it works. If I run it from an actual client then I get back an BusinessObject[] of size 0. Which to me indicates I had no objects to return. Is that a state mgmt issue or am I missing something?

  I'm trying to add some additional key/value pairs to an NSMutableDictionary, using: Tag *tag1 = [results1 objectAtIndex:0]; [resultsDict setObject:[tag1 retrieveTextUpToDepth:1] forKey:@"image_url"]; Tag *tag2 = [results2 objectAtIndex:0]; [resultsDict setValue:[tag2 retrieveTextUpToDepth:1] forKey:@"majority"]; This adds the k/v pairs with no problem, except when I come to retrieve them, some of the values have been wrapped with double quotes: po extendedDataDictionary: "image_url" = "/images/mpsL/11727.jpeg"; majority = 3460; Both keys and values are NSStrings, with no quotes - so I'm stumped as to where they're appearing from. Is there any way of preventing this? Or am I going to have to live with it and try to strip off the quotes once I've retrieved the value? Thanks...

  Is it considered better practice and/or more efficient to create a 'reset' function for a particular object that clears/defaults all the necessary member variables to allow for further operations, or to simply construct a new object from outside? I've seen both methods employed a lot, but I can't decide which one is better. Of course, for classes that represent database connections, you'd have to use a reset method rather than constructing a new one resulting in needless connecting/disconnecting, but I'm talking more in terms of abstraction classes. Can anyone give me some real-world examples of when to use each method? In my particular case I'm thinking mostly in terms of ORM or the Model in MVC. For example, if I would want to retrieve a bunch of database objects for display and modify them in one operation.
