Compare them as c-strings?

    I'm trying to put together a very simple REST-style interface for communicating with our partners.   • [Linux] domain socket "sendto" encounter "errno 111, connection refused"

    I am using domain socket to get values from another process, like A to get a value from B, It works well for months. But recently, A is failed during "sendto" message to B with "errno 111, connection refused" occasionally. I checked the B domain socket bind file, it is exists. I also do some tests in another machine, also works well. So, does anyone encounter this problem before? Can anyone have some clues what might be probably wrong in this scenario? Thanks very much.

  • Executing an exe with arguments using Powershell

    This is what I want to execute: c:\Program Files (x86)\SEQUEL ViewPoint\viewpoint.exe /Setvar((POSTSTR $POSTSTR)(POSTEND $POSTEND)) /G:C:\viewpointfile.vpt /D:C:($BEGDATE to $TODDATE).xls This is what I have tried: $a = "/Setvar((POSTSTR $POSTSTR)(POSTEND $POSTEND))" $b = "/G:C:\viewpointfile.vpt" $c = "/D:C:($BEGDATE to $TODDATE).xls" $Viewpoint = "c:\Program Files (x86)\SEQUEL ViewPoint\viewpoint.exe" &$Viewpoint $a $b $c When I execute this I receive an error stating: File C:\viewpointfile.vpt "/D:C:($BEGDATE to $TODDATE).xls" not found! I'm not sure where it gets the extra quotes from. If I run the command with just $a and $b it runs fine. Any help would be greatly appreciated. When I run this as a command in cmd.exe it executes perfectly. So something on Powershells end must be messing up the output. Is there any other way to go about executing this command using Powershell?

  • Merge Primary Keys - Cascade Update

    Is there a way to merge two primary keys into one and then cascade update all affected relationships? Here's the scenario: Customers (idCustomer int PK, Company varchar(50), etc) CustomerContacts (idCustomerContact int PK, idCustomer int FK, Name varchar(50), etc) CustomerNotes (idCustomerNote int PK, idCustomer int FK, Note Text, etc) Sometimes customers need to be merged into one. For example, you have a customer with the id of 1 and another with the id of 2. You want to merge both, so that everything that was 2 is now 1. I know I could write a script that updates all affected tables one by one, but I'd like to make it more future proof by using the cascade rules, so I don't have to update the script every time there is a new relationship added. Any ideas?

  • CakePHP model useTable with SQL Views

    I'm in the process converting our CakePHP-built website from Pervasive to SQL Server 2005. After a lot of hassle the setup I've gotten to work is using the ADODB driver with 'connect' as odbc_mssql. This connects to our database and builds the SQL queries just fine. However, here's the rub: one of our Models was associated with an SQL view in Pervasive. I ported over the view, but it appears using the set up that I have that CakePHP can't find the View in SQL Server. Couldn't find much after some Google searches - has anyone else run into a problem like this? Is there a solution/workaround, or is there some redesign in my future?

  • Turing's Craft exercise stumped me... seems too easy.

    "Write a for loop that prints the integers 1 through 40, separated by spaces or new lines. You may use only one variable, count which has already been declared as an integer." So I use... for(count = 1; count <= 40; count++) { cout << " " << count; } but they are using stdio.h as the only header and cout is not recognized. It hints that the output format should be (" ",count), but I can't figure out what print function to use. stdio.h can use fprintf or fwrite, but I don't have enough parameters for either function. Any ideas?

  • Why wouldn't an S3 ACL "stick"?

    We would like to set an ACL to allow access to one of our buckets with a partner account. We've tested the process on a test account and everything works fine. On our production account/buckets, however, we can set the ACL and see the update but as soon as we attempt to access the bucket from the other account we get a forbidden response. Afterwards, when we look at the ACL list for the bucket, the permission is gone. We've tried using both Amazon's new S3 tool in the AWS Management Console and CloudBerry Explorer and both tools exhibit exactly the same behavior. Using the same process to update an ACL from our test account works as expected ( the ACL update "sticks" ). What would cause the ACL to not "stick"? Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix/workaround the problem?

    Here's a Ruby OO head scratcher for ya, brought about by this Rails scenario: class Product < ActiveRecord::Base has_many(:prices) # define private helper methods end module PrintProduct attr_accessor(:isbn) # override methods in ActiveRecord::Base end class Book < Product include PrintProduct end Product is the base class of all products. Books are kept in the products table via STI. The PrintProduct module brings some common behavior and state to descendants of Product. Book is used inside fields_for blocks in views. This works for me, but I found some odd behavior: After form submission, inside my controller, if I call a method on a book that is defined in PrintProduct, and that method calls a helper method defined in Product, which in turn calls the prices method defined by has_many, I'll get an error complaining that Book#prices is not found. Why is that? Book is a direct descendant of Product! More interesting is the following.. As I developed this hierarchy PrintProduct started to become more of an abstract ActiveRecord::Base, so I thought it prudent to redefine everything as such: class Product < ActiveRecord::Base end class PrintProduct < Product end class Book < PrintProduct end All method definitions, etc. are the same. In this case, however, my web form won't load because the attributes defined by attr_accessor (which are "virtual attributes" referenced by the form but not persisted in the DB) aren't found. I'll get an error saying that there is no method Book#isbn. Why is that?? I can't see a reason why the attr_accessor attributes are not found inside my form's fields_for block when PrintProduct is a class, but they are found when PrintProduct is a Module. Any insight would be appreciated. I'm dying to know why these errors are occurring!

Not really sure what to put in a array and what no and how to adress them. Currently when i fill in the form the data gets displayed in a table.     I'm getting this error when I call a web service: "The remote server returned an error: (407) Proxy Authentication Required". I get the general idea and I can get the code to work by adding myProxy.Credentials= NetworkCredential("user", "password", "domain"); or by using DefaultCredentials in code. My problem is that the call to the web service works in production without this. It seems like there is a non code solution involving Machine.config, but what is it? At the moment I can't get to the production boxes machine.config file to see what that looks like. I tried updating my machine.config as follows, but I still get the 407 error.

Iterative there is no problem, but in the recursion version i can only get the sum of both negative and postive. How can i "check" in the recursive version that it only sums up the Postive elements?     I need to deploy a queued execution service with (generally) the following three classes of worker: A periodic, low-priority job class that takes a long time and can be processed serially; these jobs should only use 0..2 workers in the system at most. A periodic, deadline-sensitive job class that take a short to medium amount of time (say, topping out at 5 minutes) An ad-hoc job class, that is higher priority than #1, but can interleave with #2. Any workers from class #2 that are inactive when this type of job comes in should handle it, without ever starving the pool of workers for #2 All three job classes are the same task, the only difference between them is how they're requested; they'll take the same input and generate the same output, but each one has different performance guarantees. How can I implement this using celery?

  • Treating a fat webservice in .net 3.5 c#

    I'm dealing with an obese 3rd party webservice that returns about 3mb of data for a simple search results, about 50% of the data in that response is junk. Would it make sense then to remap this data to my own result object and ditch the response so I'm storing 1-2 mb in memory for filtering and sorting rather than using the web-responses own object and using 2-4 or am I missing a point? So far I've been accessing the webservice from a separate project and using a new class to provide the interaction and to handle the persistence so my project looks like this |- Web (mvc2 proj) |- DAL (database/storage fluent-nhibernate) |- SVCGateway (interaction layer + webservice related models) |- Services -------------- |- Tests |- Specs I'm trying to make the application behave fast and I also need to store the result set temporarily in case a customer goes to view the product and wants to go back to the results. (Service returns only 500 of possible 14K results). So basically I'm looking for confirmation that I'm doing the right thing in pushing the results into my own objects or if I'm breaking some rule or even if there's a better way of handling it.
