  • Grouped UITableView shows blank space when section is empty

    Hello, I have a grouped UITableView where not all sections may be displayed at once, the table is driven by some data that not every record may have. My trouble is that the records that don't have certain sections show up as blank spaces in the table (see picture) There are no footers/headers.     I'm developing some RESTful services in WCF 4.0. I've got a method as below: [OperationContract] [WebGet(UriTemplate = "Test?format=XML&records={records}", ResponseFormat=WebMessageFormat.Xml)] public string TestXml(string records) { return "Hello XML"; } So if i navigate my browser to http://localhost:8000/Service/Test?format=XML&records=10, then everything works as exepcted. HOWEVER, i want to be able to navigate to http://localhost:8000/Service/Test?format=XML and leave off the "&records=10" portion of the URL. But now, I get a service error since the URI doesn't match the expected URI template. So how do I implement defaults for some of my query string parameters? I want to default the "records" to 10 for instance if that part is left off the query string.

  • Call webservice from Android using KSoap simply returning "error" string

    I'm trying to use ksoap to call a simple webservice. I followed this video to try to get started. When I call "getResponse()" on the envelope I just get the string "Error". There's no exceptions thrown or any other detail. I've successfully connected to a simple webservice I just setup on my local machine. Could this potentially be related to being behind a proxy server here at work?     Okay i'm experiencing some problems with the actionlink htmlhelper. I have some complicated routing as follows: routes.MapRoute("Groep_Dashboard_Route", // Route name "{EventName}/{GroupID}/Dashboard", // url with Paramters new {controller = "Group", action="Dashboard"}); routes.MapRoute("Event_Groep_Route", // Route name "{EventName}/{GroupID}/{controller}/{action}/{id}", new {controller = "Home", action = "Index"}); My problem is generating action links that match these patterns. The eventname parameter is really just for having a user friendly link. it doesn't do anything. Now when i'm trying for example to generate a link. that shows the dashboard of a certain groep. Like: mysite.com/testevent/20/Dashboard I'll use the following actionlink: <%: Html.ActionLink("Show dashboard", "Group", "Dashboard", new { EventName_Url = "test", GroepID = item.groepID}, null)%> What my actual result in html gives is: <a href="">Show Dashboard</a> Please bear with me i'm still new at ASP MVC.     Hi! I am using an XMLHttpRequest to POST a JSON string to PHP. The JSON object is created in JavaScript and using the JSON2.js from json.org to create an JSON string representing the object. JSON.stringify(object); Whenever the object contains a string which has a special character in it, e.g. é, JavaScript does not give any error but PHP receives an empty array [] Is there a JavaScript function which produces the exact same resutls as the PHP function htmlentities() The data is send via POST, so the following functions escape() encodeURI() encodeURIComponent() are a bit overkill.     I want to be able to read the cookies from Apache's HTTP_COOKIE string and then add includes based on the contents of that string. Now I want to be able to parse the string for something like Name=Bob.     Hello, I have a C# program that will open a text file, parse it for certain criteria using a RegEx statement, and then write a new text file with the changed criteria. For example: I have a text file with a bunch of machine codes in it such as: X0.109Y0Z1.G0H2E1 My C# program will take this and turn it into: X0.109Y0G54G0T3 G43Z1.H2M08 (Note: the T3 value is really the H value (H2 in this case) + 1). T = H + 1 It works great, because the line usually always starts with X so the RegEx statement always matches.     Hello, another issue where I seem to have found an solution for ObjC but not MonoTouch. I want a NSUrl from an URL (as string). The string may contain whitespace and backslashes. Why is NSUrl returning null for such string, even though these are valid urls in a browser? BOOST_FUSION_ADAPT_STRUCT (MyStruct, (vector<string>, stringVector) (vector<double>, doubleVector)) My parse function parses the line and returns true and after qi::phrase_parse (iterBegin, iterEnd, myrule, boost::spirit::ascii::space, var) ; I'm expecting var.stringVector and var.doubleVector are properly filled. but it is not the case. My question is; how do I make my templated data structure inherit from a singleton so you can only have one float type of this structure? I have tested both seperate and have found no problems.   • WPF DataGrid cannot Add a row when datasource is empty

    CanUserAddRows="True" only 'works' when there's already data in the itemsource of the data grid. If it just so happens that there are no rows in the original list of items, then the datagrid doesn't display a 'placeholder' row for entering new items, even though I've set CanUserAddRows="True".     Hey, I currently have a Currency Format method: private string FormatCurrency(double moneyIn) { CultureInfo ci = new CultureInfo("en-GB"); return moneyIn.ToString("c", ci); } I'm looking to adapt this to shorten the string as the currency get's larger. Kind of like how stack overflow goes from 999 to 1k instead of 1000 (or 1.6k instead of 1555). I imagine that this is a relativly easy task however is there any built in function for it or would you just have to manually manipulate the string? Thanks

  • Birt 2.5.2 report generates empty table data when run from a cron job

    I've got a shell script that runs genReport.sh in order to create a .pdf formatted report, and it works perfectly when it's run from the command line. The data source for the report is a ClearQuest database. When it's run from a CRON job the .pdf file is created, except that only the various report and column headers are displayed, and the data of the report is missing. There are no errors reported to STDERR during the execution of the script. This screams "environment variable" to me. Currently, the shell script is defining the following: CQ_HOME BIRT_HOME ODBCINI ODBCINST LD_LIBRARY_PATH If it's an environmental thing, what part of the environment am I missing?

  • Why is XCode Organizer console sometimes empty when I connect my iPhone

    When testing my iPhone app I have found it incredibly useful to log information to the console window. I think it is amazing that I can send out an adhoc build to my co-workers and if they experience problems I am able to plug their iPhone into my mac and grab their console output. However, sometimes the console window is blank when we do this. Why is this the case? The code has been built with logging enabled. Besides that, it seems that the console output, when I see it, contains information about not only my app, but other iphone system logging. Thanks for any insight you can provide.
