• VS2008 project with Entity Framework model results in "always dirty" compile

  In VS 2008, I have a simple .csproj that contains an Entity Framework .edmx (V1) file. Every time I build the project, the output DLL is updated, even though nothing has changed. I have reproduced this in the simplest-possible project (containing one ordinary .cs file and one edmx model). If I remove the edmx model and build repeatedly, the output assembly will not be touched. If I add the edmx model and build repeatedly, the output assembly is modified each time. This is a problem because the real project is a dependency of dozens of other projects and it is wreaking havoc with what times when working in higher layers of the application. Is this a known problem? Any way to fix it? Thanks!

  Again i rewrite my question with more details i.e. I am developing a website in Asp.net 2.0 in that i'm tracking the user's some details like their id,no of page hitted and time of hitting etc, in a LogfileDate(the LogfileDate contains whole day summary of all users) saved inside a folder(Folder is inside my project). And at another day when a new logfileDate created i want to mail the previous day Logfile and delete that file after sending. Everything happened but when It is going to delete its shows file is accessed by another process. So I need to refresh that folder after sending mail so that it got free with buffer. I'm not using IIS and i dont want it to use.

• How easy would it be to refactor a small JSP/Servlet/JDBC project to SpringMVC/Hibernate

  With reference to this post, I am considering starting a new web-based Java project. Since I don't know Spring/Hibernate I was concerned if it's a bad plan to start learning them while creating a new project, especially since it will slow down the early development. One idea I had was to write a prototype using tech I do know, namely JSP/Servlets/JDBC, since I can get this running much quicker with my current knowledge. I could then throw the whole thing away and start over with Spring, etc, but I'd like to consider how easy it would be to refactor a smallish project from JSP/Servlets/JDB to SpringMVC/Hibernate? My DB could of course be re-used but what about other code... would I expect to save most of it plugged into an MVC framework, or is the paradigm shift big enough this would cause more trouble than it avoids? Please use the other question for more general advice on choosing technologies

  I'm using subclipse, and always when delete a folder in Eclipse, and try to commit it, the following errors raise: svn: Item <folder> is out of date svn: DELETE of <folder>: 409 Conflict (http://myintranet) Deleting and commiting via command line works fine, but what's wrong with doing it via subclipse? Is anyone more experiencing this problem? • Eclipse content assist with maven project not picking up all classes

  I'm using Eclipse 3.5.0, and have imported a maven project using the import maven project from SCM wizard (M2 plugin). I have a jar file as a dependency in my pom. and inside the jar is a complicated schema - with quite a number of XSD's. But the content assist doesn't seem to pick up the schema at all, nor a number of other classes in the dependency list. yet for another module in the same project it seems to work ok. Does anyone know why this is? it's driving me mad!

But when I used this on 'temporary internet files' folder in windows, am getting this error. Please help to sort out this issue.

  I'm trying to get the Hackbook for Android project to work in Eclipse. One of the things I need to do is remove that invalid reference and include that project I made. I did this before, but then I started over and now it doesn't work. Here is where I add the project.   I have created a dll in C++ using a Class Library project in Visual Studio. I need to call a method in the dll from a C# application. I got to know there are 2 approches. One is to add the dll project reference to C# project or use DllExport to export method. However when I tried in both ways it always gives the following error when the dll method is called in runtime. An unhandled exception of type 'System.BadImageFormatException' occurred in TestClient.exe Additional information: An attempt was made to load a program with an incorrect format. • JAR file folder for eclipse projects

  I'm trying to create a centralized folder (in some kind of a "meta project" in my eclipse workspace) for commonly used JAR files for referenced projects in this workspace. It should work similar to the WEB-INF/lib folder for web projects but also apply to non web projects, and automatically scan and add all jar files in this folder. I tried to create a user library with these jar files and reference them in the project but I still have to add every new jar manually to the user library (and don't know if it is referenced relative of absoulute) and Tomcat (WTP) doesn't seem to take these files (Run As - Run on Server) into its classpath (and I don't want to duplicate the jars and put them into WEB-INF/lib). Any ideas?

  I´m trying to make a Powershell script that reports if there´s a file older than x minutes on remote folder. The folder is often unavailable for me bacause of the high load and I found out when there is no connection it doesn´t report an error but continues with zero in $pocet.count. It means it reports everything is ok when the folder is unavailable. I was thinking about using if(Test-Path..) but what about it became unavailable just after passing Test-Path? Does anyone has a solution please? Thank you in advance

I wanted to keep things as simple as possible so I've set up Additional Include Directories via the Project properties. I've also set up additional library files via Tools - Options - Projects and Solutions - VC++ Directories. However, my issue is that I really need to set up Additional library PATHs, because I am using an SDK which does inline linking of libraries. I could just tell each one of the participants to manually add the library path to their MSVS2008 environment, but it would be handy if I could integrate the RELATIVE library path in the project itself.

• Adding packages from different SVN repositories in a single project

  Hello all I am trying to create a project whose source code comes from 2 different SVN repositories. When I do the svn co pathToRepoA currentDirectory to checkout all the code from the 1st repo, it runs fine. Now, when I try to checkout some specific packages from the 2nd repo by doing svn co pathToRepoB/src/main/java/somespecificpackage currentDirectory/src/main/java/nameOfNewPackage into the same project, it gives me an error that the current directory is already a working directory of a different URL (which is an obvious error). How do I overcome this problem so that I can integrate code (some specific packages) from different repositories into a single project. Thanks!

I'll use mostly PHP, MySQL, JavaScript and Ajax. But I have never made a project like this before. I have only made like CMS-systems and so on. Do you guys have any tips on how I should structure this project? I'm also not so used to Object-oriented programming, but I guess I should consider this. Do seasoned iPhone developers still use templates when creating new projects? How difficult is it to add functionality to a template project that isn't initially included in the template? With this we have just created a repository in a network folder (by just right clicking - TortiseSVN - create repository) , than all we have done is our developers have checked out from this directory. How do we go about doing this in xcode. I know subversion is integrated with xcode and I am pretty confident of doing everything (from tutorials) except for the creation of the repository.   So, I noticed that I can organize apps into folders (HTC Incredible). However these folders are fairly limited in their capabilities. I want to implement an activity that extends the "base" folder activity (at the very least I want to add the ability to rearrange items in folders), but I can't figure out the class name... So, what's the name of the class that is used when adding a "New Folder" to the Home screen? PS I did take a look at the Android developer website. But the discussion there revolves mostly around content providers. I assume that's not quite what I need since I'd have to create a separate content provider for each new folder, or am I misunderstanding something?

  I'm having some problem with wamp. I can't seem to have an folder called icons. This is where I keep all my icons used on the site. The problem is all my icons are not showing up. If I rename it to something else it works. But I can't seem to have a folder called icons for some reason. I've tried deleting it and made a new folder called icons but it just wont let me. Here is a trick  to solve the issue.   When you open the project you have seen that in Reference there is some dll that have yellow icon. This means that dll are missing or not found in your configuration or system.   Now remember that dll name. Remove them from reference and add them from adding reference. I telling you to remove so VS will not prevent you to add new version of same assembly. Add all those assembly. Those dll will be following : System.Web.Mvc Razor and Webpages Dll.   Remember that in MVC3 we use old version of these assembly. Now When you done by adding all assembly then now open web.config.   There is 2 web.config file in our mvc project.  One is in root folder and second in Views folder. You need to update all those version no. This is not a big deal if you know the name of assembly. Now if you web.config show you assembly version as 3.000.00 then 3 would be replaced with 4 or 5 according to version no. Same thing need to applied all dll for both web.config.   Note :- In VS Template Views goes in ~/Views folder but if someone use any other folder then Views for views and those folder have also web.config then remember to update them also. Your project will be compile and make no warning and error but that certainly not work. for examples areas/views and themes/views that contain web.config also need to be updated with newer assembly version no.   After done these thing you can compile your project and it will be work as it should be Thanks for read my post.   Okay, we have a SAN using Failover Cluster Management on a pair of 2008 servers. We created shares on here before and they are usable. Now when I go to create a new share I get the following error message: "Flags for the SMB Shared folder cannot be configured. This shared resource does not exist" Does not allow me to create the share then. Haven't been able to find any good docs out there to help me through this error. Any advice would be appreciated.

• nginx tmp file folder runing out of diskspace

  I get mysql diskspace error Can't create/write to file '/tmp/#sql_777_0.MYI' (Errcode: 28) mainly because my ngnix server is writing file into the tmp folder which doesn't get clean up.. i added this command as per instructions on the nginx manual to the crontab but doesn't seems to be doing the trick, (i don't understand what it does too) 0 */1 * * * /usr/sbin/tmpwatch -am 1 /tmp/nginx_client then i had to do this commands mannually cd /tmp/nginx_client find -name * | xargs rm i need to know what should i do to automate this clean up ? is there way to increase the /tmp/ - /var/tmp/ size without reformatting or doing any dangerous things ? Can i change the location of the MYSQL - TMP files ?
