  As a side-project I'm trying to create an app that scans license plates from passing cars from my living-room window. I have hooked up a high resolution camera to my system to capture (moving) images into my c# app. Now all I need is a way to interpret these images into something readable.   I've noticed that if you sent a query string routevalue through asp.net mvc you end up with all whitespaces urlencoded into "%20". What is the best way of overriding this formatting as I would like whitespace to be converted into the "+" sign? I was thinking of perhaps using a custom Route object or a class that derives from IRouteHandler but would appreciate any advice you might have.

  I am calling a PreferenceActivity from another activity and then updating the application state (ie: changing the font size) on onActivityResult, based on the preference changes. I was thinking it would be better to put the state update logic in the PreferenceActivity. That way I don't have the duplicate the logic in each activity that calls the PreferenceActivity. • Redundant assert statements in .NET unit test framework

  Isn't it true that every assert statement can be translated to an Assert.IsTrue, since by definition, you are asserting whether something is true or false? Why is it that test frameworks introduce options like AreEquals, IsNotNull, and especially IsFalse? I feel I spend too much time thinking about which Assert to use when I write unit tests.
