  Someone asked me today if the time zone of a specific instance of SQL Server could be changed to match the country which that instance served. Some database products allow you to set this at an engine level which made me wonder if your data’s time fields “move” with the time zone setting of the database server instance?  If something was logged as happening at 9am Paris time it happened then, if I change my database server parameters did that event now happen at 9am New York time?  Perhaps...(read more)

I would like to move all those projects to a single virtual host (with a single IP address). My question is, how google handles links within different domain names but same ip address. Is there some penalization for it? Could this lead to lower page rank?

I use CCbezier to make the sprite move, like this: sprite->runaction(x) Now I want the sprite to stop its current action (moving) and later resume it. I can make the sprite stop by using: sprite->stopaction(x) but if I do that, I can't resume the movement. How can I do that?

• is it possible to have duplicated folders on /home folder new partition as an error?

  i move my home directory to it's own partition but i end with what it seems to be a duplicated home folders (there are 2 accounts admin and everyones account) i have "admin and everyones" folders and then i have in hide ".ecryptfs" inside i had again "admin and everyones" folder inside there is .encryptfs and .private inside each account cant read it's content as seems encrypted. which of both folders im able to delete the ones inside .encryptfs or the other showing in unhide mode "admin and everyones"? it seems is dulpicated as have the same file size.

  i need to know if its possible to share a folder, so that i can open the files in it from ubuntu and windows at the time im using windows but im planning to move back to ubuntu but my problem would be losing some compatibility that windows offers me when im doing college work, and that can be a pain, so my plan is to dual boot and have both OS. but i dont want to be loging in and out of each OS in order to work or share files so is ther a way to share folders or files between, lets say, ubuntu 14.0 and windows 7?

  I am designing a tactical turn based game. The maps are 2d, but do have varying level-layers and blocking objects/terrain. I'm looking for an algorithm for pathfinding which will allow me to show an opaque shape representing all of the possible max-distance pixels that a mob can move to, knowing the mob's max pixel distance. Any thoughts on this, or do I just need to write a good pathfinding algorithm and use it to find the cutoff points for any direction in which an obstacle exists?

Engines can rotate around the center of circle and create thrust.   Well i'm running 2 different distro's of linux right now and I decided to make my ubuntu partition my primary partition larger so I took 119.53 GiB out of my other distro's partition and it became unallocated and then I figured Gparted would when I right click on it to resize/move give me the option of using it to make another partition bigger but it did not so I went google searching online and in one post I saw it said you had to format the unallocated space so I formatted it to ext4 the same as my primary partition but still no options to add it to any thing what do I do?

Now I wanna find out how to make that if I hit the Enter key the tile's texture change to another. • Wubi installation: I get os freezes which make me have to hard reboot

  Wubi installation has been going a success for me, but one problem is that I get freezes, My Mouse works I can move it round but I can't click or right click. Sometimes my keyboard works and so I can shutdown safely using commands, but other times the keyboard doesn't work. One example of this is when I was running minecraft and youtube. and to off the laptop the only way was to hard reboot. Does anyone have a solution to this?

  I'm not sure of any of the terminology, so I'll have to explain things simply, to make sure you understand what I'm saying. I'm using Gnome 3, and when I bring the mouse to the bottom right of the screen, a bar pops up, with icons of some things that are running in the background (at the moment, mine has "Update Manager", "Removable Devices", "caffeine-cup"). Is there any way to move these items to the bar at the top of the screen, alongside the icons for volume, network connectivity and universal access (how do I get rid of that btw)? Thanks

My problem is that the game keeps flowing while animations runs. How can I make the flow suspend until movement is done? I use entity modifiers for the gems animations.
