    Hi I want to have a drop down menu where a user can select from several predefined options but i also want to give him the option of inserting a user specific value, i was thinking having one of the options as "user specific" which will in turn allow the user to insert a user specif entry in a text box that appears or is editable when user selects the "user specific" option. any one have any ideas how i can implement this is HTML and Javascript? thank you

  • Display "custom" view (various images, various text). Should I use UIWebView?

    First: No, none of the content should be loaded from the web. All content parts are shipped with the main bundle. I have n images and mass of text (including lists). Instead of building all view parts programmatically in objective-c if was thinking of using an UIWebView and build "only" the HTML dynamically. Does anything speaks against it? How does UIWebView work with local content? Links and resources welcome. Thanks

  • How can i share data/text with other apps that will accept it?

    I have an app that creates a new data entry in a sqlite db with several columns. I would like to have a simple share button on the final activity so they can share the results (or even a simple text field) with apps that accept it (email, mms, twitter, etc..). I did some reading on ContentProviders but the more I read, the more I'm thinking i'm heading down the wrong path. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

    Hello, When i develop a project i create a folder in my project called libs. And in this folder i place all the library jars that i use. Is there a way to add just the libs folder to the class path so that i do not have to add each individual jar? I was thinking something along the lines of a variable or creating a user library.     I'm having an issue with bad requests from certain search parameters. An example URL: http://www.foo.com/washington/forums/search/%26 Results in a bad request. The rewriter config line looks like this: <rewrite url="^(.*)/forums/search/(.*)" to="~/Pages/Forums/Overview.aspx?Address=$1&amp;q=$2" processing="stop" /> I'm thinking it's an issue with the Regex...?   • Deserialize JSON, sometimes value is an array, sometimes "" (blank string).

    I am trying to deserialize a field: "presenters":[{...},{...}] but some of the rows come back with only: "presenters":"" When the serializer gets to the row with that empty string I get: Error converting value "" to type 'System.Collections.Generic.List`1[DataPrototype.Model.Presenter]'. Am I right in thinking that I need a JsonConverter that will change the empty string into an empty List?

The data model is imported into some software from time to time and we don't want it to try to import the meta data files.     Hi What are the possible ways of representing data in memory in .Net (or in general)? It would be great if data could be sorted and looked up by key (or multiple keys). We are thinking to use collections, arrays, list of collections/arrays. One object would be in several collections (one sorted asc, other desc, etc.).   • Ajax auto-populate from field when another form field is filled out

    Has anyone used javascript/ajax to take data from one form field and put it into another? I'm trying to create a form that when one text input is filled out a second is auto-populated with the first letter of the word that is in the first text input. I'm thinking I can limit the second text input to one character to help get the desired result, but I'm not having luck finding the javascript to get the second text input to auto-populate from the first. Any suggestions?

  • VMware convert to Virtualbox?

    I downloaded a Kali Linux ISO VMware image thinking that it would be able to run in Virtualbox as well. However, this only seems to be the case with .vmdk files, and my image is a .vm.tar.gz file. Virtualbox does not recognize it as a valid ISO file, and I am not sure how to convert it. The entire thing is kali-linux-1.0-i386-gnome-vm.tar.gz The goal is to be able to run this in a Virtualbox, is there any way to convert this from VMware to Virtualbox?

    I am hoping to create 3 (non-negative) quasi-random numbers that sum to one, and repeat over and over. Basically I am trying to partition something into three random parts over many trials. While I am aware of a= runif(3,0,1) I was thinking that I could use 1-a as the max in the next run if, but it seems messy. But these of course don't sum to one. Any thoughts, oh wise stackoverflow-ers?
