  • Can JMX operations take interfaces as parameters?

    I'm having problems with an MBean that takes a Map<String, Object> as a parameter. If I try to execute it via JMX using a proxy object, I get an Exception: Caused by: javax.management.ReflectionException at org.jboss.mx.server.AbstractMBeanInvoker.invoke(AbstractMBeanInvoker.java:231) at org.jboss.mx.server.MBeanServerImpl.invoke(MBeanServerImpl.java:668) at sun.reflect.NativeMethodAccessorImpl.invoke0(Native Method) at sun.reflect.NativeMethodAccessorImpl.invoke(NativeMethodAccessorImpl.java:39) at sun.reflect.DelegatingMethodAccessorImpl.invoke(DelegatingMethodAccessorImpl.java:25) at java.lang.reflect.Method.invoke(Method.java:597) Caused by: java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Unable to find operation updateProperties(java.util.HashMap) It appears that it attempts to use the actual implementation class rather than the interface, and doesn't check if this is a child of the required interface. The same thing happens for extended classes (for example declare HashMap, pass in LinkedHashMap). Does this mean it's impossible to use an interface for such methods? At the moment I'm getting around it by changing the method signature to accept a HashMap, but it seems odd that I wouldn't be able to use interfaces (or extended classes) in my MBeans. Edit: The proxy object is being created by an in-house utility class called JmxInvocationHandler.   • How to get attributes from both relative and absolute positioning

    I have a footer that i want to attach to the bottom of the page using bottom:0px. However, I also want to center it by using margin-left:auto; and margin-right:auto;. Effectively, this will stick the footer to the bottom of the page while keeping it centered vertically. Unfortunately, these cannot be used together as bottom:0px requires position:relative while margin-left:auto and margin-right:auto require position:absolute. How can I get both of these attributes onto the same div without creating a container? If not possible, what is a clean way of getting both these attributes? My problem was, each subnet machine can't ping each other. for example. 192.168.11.101 can't ping 192.168.21.101 but can ping 192.168.128.1 192.168.31.101 can't ping 192.168.21.101 but can ping 192.168.128.1 I am also try to using route add -net 192.168.11.0 netmask 255.255.255.0 gw 192.168.11.1 (and also 192.168.21.0/192.168.31.0) at this multi-lan-port machine. But still won't work. Does anyone can help ? Thanks.

  • Dynamic object property populator (without reflection)

    I want to populate an object's properties without using reflection in a manner similar to the DynamicBuilder on CodeProject. The CodeProject example is tailored for populating entities using a DataReader or DataRecord. I use this in several DALs to good effect. Now I want to modify it to use a dictionary or other data agnostic object so that I can use it in non DAL code --places I currently use reflection. I know almost nothing about OpCodes and IL. I just know that it works well and is faster than reflection. I have tried to modify the CodeProject example and because of my ignorance with IL, I have gotten stuck on two lines. One of them deals with dbnulls and I'm pretty sure I can just lose it, but I don't know if the lines preceding and following it are related and which of them will also need to go. The other, I think, is the one that pulled the value out of the datarecord before and now needs to pull it out of the dictionary. I think I can replace the "getValueMethod" with my "property.Value" but I'm not sure. I'm open to alternative/better ways of skinning this cat too.   • Core Data: Fetch all entities in a to-many-relationship of a particular object?

    Hi there, in my iPhone application I am using simple Core Data Model with two entities (Item and Property): Item name properties Property name value item Item has one attribute (name) and one one-to-many-relationship (properties). Its inverse relationship is item. Property has two attributes the according inverse relationship. Now I want to show my data in table views on two levels. The first one lists all items; when one row is selected, a new UITableViewController is pushed onto my UINavigationController's stack. The new UITableView is supposed to show all properties (i.e. their names) of the selected item. To achieve this, I use a NSFetchedResultsController stored in an instance variable. On the first level, everything works fine when setting up the NSFetchedResultsController like this: -(NSFetchedResultsController *) fetchedResultsController { if (fetchedResultsController) return fetchedResultsController; // goal: tell the FRC to fetch all item objects. I create a new Property instance via Property *p = [NSEntityDescription insertNewObjectForEntityForName:@"Property" inManagedObjectContext:self.moContext];, set up the relationships and call [self.moContext save:&error]. This seems to work, as error is still nil and the object gets saved (I can see the number of properties when logging the Item instance, see above). However, the delegate methods are not fired. This seems to me due to the possibly messed up fetchRequest(Controller). Any ideas? Did I mess up the second fetch request? Is this the right way to fetch all entities in a to-many-relationship for a particular instance at all?

I used YAML.load_file to load the hieradata file, and got a correct hash object. Can anybody help?

    As a developer for the .NET platform, I like to "explore" a platform, framework or API by browsing through the API documentation which explains what everything is - everything is covered and when I use tools like Reflector or Object Browser then I get to know for certain what I'm working with. When I'm writing my own software I can use tools like the Object Test Bench to explore and work with my classes directly. I'm looking for something similar, but for PowerShell - and ones that avoid text-mode.     I've just started experimenting with WPF templates vs. styles and I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. The goal below is to alternate the colors of the options in the menu. The code works fine with just the , but when I copy and paste/rename it for the second segment of "MenuChoiceOdd" I get the following error: Provide value on 'System.Windows.Baml2006.TypeConverterMarkupExtension' threw an exception.   • Ubuntu 11.04 VM shows a black screen in VMware Player

    I have a Ubuntu Server 11.04 64 bit VM running on VMware Player 3.1.4 that only shows a black screen. No matter what I try, the screen remains black. The VM has worked the first time. When I reset the machine, it shows the VMware loader and a flickering _ for about a second. Then the screen turns black again. VM settings: Memory: 512MB Processors: 1 HD: 20GB CD: auto detect Floppy: auto detect Network adapter: NAT USB controller: present soundcard: auto detect printer: present display: auto detect I just created a fresh VM and the same happens, so it seems that the problem is consistent.

  • Getting Perl DBD::mysql working on OS X 10.7?

    I can't seem to get Perl & MySQL to talk to each other on OS X 10.7 Lion. I did all the installs by the book, I used Oracle's PKG installer for the latest MySQL Community Server, and I installed DBI and DBD::mysql via CPAN. There were not problems at all during the install, but, when I try to USE DBD::mysql to connect to my local DB server I get the following error: install_driver(mysql) failed: Can't load '/Library/Perl/5.12/darwin-thread-multi-2level/auto/DBD/mysql/mysql.bundle' for module DBD::mysql: dlopen(/Library/Perl/5.12/darwin-thread-multi-2level/auto/DBD/mysql/mysql.bundle, 1): Library not loaded: /usr/local/mysql/lib/libmysqlclient.16.dylib Referenced from: /Library/Perl/5.12/darwin-thread-multi-2level/auto/DBD/mysql/mysql.bundle Reason: image not found at /System/Library/Perl/5.12/darwin-thread-multi-2level/DynaLoader.pm line 204. at (eval 3) line 3 Compilation failed in require at (eval 3) line 3. Perhaps a required shared library or dll isn't installed where expected After a lot of googling all I could find were suggested hacks, so I gave this one a go: http://arkoftech.wordpress.com/2011/02/10/fixing-dbdmysql-for-mysql-5-5-89-under-macos-10-6-x/ I had to update some of the paths in the instructions since on Lion it's Perl 5.12 not 5.10.     Notepad++ does auto-complete for html and also for JavaScript. but the auto-completion depends on file extension.html file supports completion for html only. Is there a way to enable auto-completion for javascript in the script tag of an html file? I mean, other than copying the auto-completion keyword list from "javascript.xml" to "html.xml" files... As suggested on stackoverflow, asking on superuser, as I could not find a satisfactory answer there. If anyone has any idea, please let me know! (I hope I am not the only one having this kind of an requirement! :))
