    I have just downloaded the fresh copy of phppowerpoint and added the following line of code 'phppowerpoint' = MODPATH.'phppowerpoint', and now my page got blank and I got the following error: The character encoding of the HTML document was not declared. The document will render with garbled text in some browser configurations if the document contains characters from outside the US-ASCII range. The character encoding of the page must to be declared in the document or in the transfer protocol. Any thoughts? Thanks.

  • Mercurial Workflow for small team

    I'm working in a team of 3 developers and we have recently switched from CVS to Mercurial. We are using Mercurial by having local repositories on each of our workstations and pulling/pushing to a development server. I'm not sure this is the best workflow, as it is easy to forget to Push after a Commit, and 3 way merge conflicts can cause a real headache. Is there a better workflow we could use, as I think the complexity of distributed VC is outweighing the benefits at the moment. Thanks

    A lot of times I need to delete a folder and copy another one with the same name. Always this is a place to trouble. What is the best way do do this? The error I got when I trying to commit: Error: Directory Error: '..\trunk\bin\MVCContrib\InputBuilderTemplates\.svn' Error: containing working copy admin area is missing Error: Please execute the 'Cleanup' command. The error I got when I trying to cleanup: '..\trunk\bin\MVCContrib\InputBuilderTemplates\.svn' is not a working copy directory.

    I have a large cross-cutting commit that I would like to split up according to the authors whose code was affected, both to increase the reviewers' familiarity with the code they're reviewing, and to divide the review burden equitably. I realize that the blame may be mixed within a given hunk, in which case it would be nice to either collect multiple reviewers or just choose the most "blameworthy" one (breaking ties arbitrarily is fine).

  • Will git-svn send file permission changes to a SVN repository?

    I'm using git-svn in a svn environment. When i check out .sh files they do not get the +x flag. So i change that manually, but now git tells me the file has been modified. My question is: If i'd stage + commit those +x changes, will git push them to the svn server when i "git svn dcommit"? This is not what i want, i just want git to 'memorize' the +x changes locally but not to try to send file permission changes to the svn repository.

  • @Transactional in Spring+Hibernate

    I an using Spring 3.1 + Hibernate 4.x in my web application. In my DAO, i am saving User type object as following sessionFactory.getCurrentSession().save(user); But getting following exception: org.hibernate.HibernateException: save is not valid without active transaction I googled and found similar question on SO, with following solution: Session session=getSessionFactory().getCurrentSession(); Transaction trans=session.beginTransaction(); session.save(entity); trans.commit(); That solves the problem. But in that solution, there is lot of mess of beginning and committing the transactions manually. Can't i use sessionFactory.getCurrentSession().save(user); directly without begin/commit of transactions manually? I try to use @Transactional on my service/dao methods too, but the problem persists.     The answer to this must be somewhere but I'm not finding it -- can anyone help me understand why in Gedit, if I have a page of code there is no extra trailing blank line, but then when I do a file comparison for my svn commit it shows an extra line being added at the end of the file? I have a feeling that Gedit is automatically adding an ending line break. But why, I have no idea...

    Hi Let's say that I have a desktop pc and a laptop, and sometimes I work on the desktop and sometimes I work on the laptop. What is the easiest way to move a git repository back and forth? I want the git repositories to be identical, so that I can continue where I left of at the other computer. I would like to make sure that I have the same branches and tags on both of the computers. Thanks Johan Note: I know how to do this with SubVersion, but I'm curious on how this would work with git. If it is easier, I can use a third pc as classical server that the two pc:s can sync against. Note: Both computers are running Linux. Update: So let's try XANI:s idea with a bare git repo on a server, and the push command syntax from KingCrunch. In this example there is two clients and one server. So let's create the server part first. ssh user@server mkdir -p ~/git_test/workspace cd ~/git_test/workspace git --bare init So then from one of the other computers I try to get a copy of the repo with clone: git clone user@server:~/git_test/workspace/ Initialized empty Git repository in /home/user/git_test/repo1/workspace/.git/ warning: You appear to have cloned an empty repository. Then go into that repo and add a file: cd workspace/ echo "test1" > testfile1.txt git add testfile1.txt git commit testfile1.txt -m "Added file testfile1.txt" git push origin master Now the server is updated with testfile1.txt. Anyway, let's see if we can get this file from the other computer. mkdir -p ~/git_test/repo2 cd ~/git_test/repo2 git clone user@server:~/git_test/workspace/ cd workspace/ git pull And now we can see the testfile. At this point we can edit it with some more content and update the server again. echo "test2" >> testfile1.txt git add testfile1.txt git commit -m "Test2" git push origin master Then we go back to the first client and do a git pull to see the updated file. And now I can move back and forth between the two computers, and add a third if I like to.

    If I drag and drop tracked .cs files to new folders in VS2008 with VisualSVN what message should I see when I commit the .cs file? I see added (+) shouldn't I see a "move"? I'm asking because I'm getting ready to do a major refactoring (including moving lots of files) and I don't want to lose my version history on these files. I have created three gitolite users user1, user2 and user3. Now, my question is that when user1 clone or commit or push or pull changes, then it only should change user1's working directory, and same as user2 and user3. How would you enforce that with Gitolite?

  • Jump to 'git add -i' patch command (5) directly

    How can I get "git add -i" to start up in patch mode directly without having to type "5" + Enter? I know about "git add -p", but it's not the same as it doesn't show me a list of files to select from first. This is very annoying because I'd like to jump between "git add -i" and "git commit" very quickly to turn my dirty tree into some nice looking commits.

    I'm using the Ruby SVN bindings built with SWIG. Here's a little tutorial. When I do this @repository = Svn::Repos.open('/path/to/repository') I can access the repository fine. But when I do this @repository = Svn::Repos.open('svn://localhost/some/path') It fails with /SourceCache/subversion/subversion-35/subversion/subversion/libsvn_subr/io.c:2710: 2: Can't open file 'svn://localhost/format': No such file or directory When I do this from the command line, I do get output svn ls svn://localhost/some/path Any ideas why I can't use the svn:// protocol?

  • GCommit doesn't work with fugitive.vim under windows xp?

    I've just discovered fugitive.vim, which is pretty cool. However, I've run into a problem (this is using windows xp, msys git 1.7, fugitive.vim 1.1, and gvim 7.2). Adding files to the index and checking the status works just fine, but when I do a :GCommit, a command prompt flashes for a second and nothing happens. No way to type a commit message and nothing is committed. Is this a bug? Am I doing something wrong?
