  • Ubuntu 11.10 - Everytime i am trying to connect to my box using SSH, its failing not connecting

    I have noticed some error during the Linux boot. They seem to continue to occur after the boot adding lines to the log every few seconds. Once booted this normally does not appear to be causing any problems. However, around 1 in 10 boots results in a kernel panic and the computer has on two or three occasions suddenly rebooted after being powered on for a number of hours. I presume the cause of the reboot is a kernel panic as well. I am running Ubuntu 11.10 and I have had Ubuntu installed on the computer for around a year. I have googled around and not found anything useful. I have provided the kernel log lines and the output of smartctl.   • Everytime i am trying to connect to my box using SSH, its failing not connecting

    Hi, Its been a couple of weeks that some sites just keeps on hanging. e.g. Facebooks = static.ak.fbcdn.net FLicker = l.yimg.com GoogleAnalytics I've googled and found many problems like this and some answers which are outdated or just doesn't solve the problem. I did: Cookies clearing, ran cc cleaner and several other nifty methods. None solved my problem?? Only with facebook, if I enter https:// manually instead of http:// on every url on facebook, it works and when it does the redirection to http://, everytime I have to type 's' on the address bar to make it https:// It is driving me nuts coz I'm developing Facebook App and this problem in being pain in my ass.   • jQuery Selectors: how to access an a tag, whose span has a specific class?

    I'm messing around with FullCalendar jQuery calendar, and qTips, so that I can display more information about the event upon mouseover. I've added a summary element to the FullCalendar js, and also my server code. I then added a new qTip in the eventMouseover method, based on the span class, which works prefectly. However, if the event stretches over a couple of days, the qTip only works (because it is a span tag), on the text itself, not the entire blue strip. What I want to do is to assign the qTip to the a tag, and make the a tags display block. This works currently: eventMouseover: function(event){ $('span[class=fc-event-title]').each(function() { if( $(this).text() == event.title ) { $(this).qtip({ content: event.summary, style: { border: { width: 1, radius: 5, color: '#6699CC' }, width: 200 } }); } }); but I can't figure out how to select the a tag where it contains a span with class of fc-event-title. But the thing is, I am not allowed to even touch the template. It's totally template independent. So, I have to add the meta tag only by doing something in my plugin code. I have tried wp_head action hook, but it is not working. Any idea of a workaround or anything to get the meta tag inside the head tags of the pages dynamically.

    For clarity I am using C# 3.5/Asp.Net MVC 2 Here is what I have done: I wanted the ability to add/remove functionality to an object at run-time. So I simply added a generic object dictionary to my class like this: public Dictionary<int, object> Components { get; set; } Then I can add/remove any kind of .Net object into this dictionary at run-time. To insert an object I do something like this: var tag = new Tag(); myObject.Components.Add((int)Types.Components.Tag, tag); Then to retrieve I just do this: if(myObject.Components.ContainsKey((int)Types.Components.Tag)) { var tag = myObject.Components[(int)Types.Components.Tag] as Tag; if(tag != null) { //do stuff } } Somehow I feel sneaky doing this.     If a "server-enabled" HTML tag is in a Web form, like this -- <p runat="server"/> -- is there any way for me to attach to its rendering? I assume once they have runat="server", they must have a lifecycle of some kind. I'd like to attach some code to the rendering of any HTML tag so enabled. So, whenever a template author puts runat="server" on a tag, I can catch the PreRender (or anything else) and execute some code. Possible?

  • How do I get my text to be direction from right to left without using a p tag?

    I have a dynamically appearing div on a page. I would like to be able to hide the div with a button at the top right corner of the div. One way I have found to do this is to use a p tag, like so: <p dir="RTL">button</p> If this is the first line of HTML within the div, it will put the button in the upper right hand corner of the div. However, it gives me a new line above and a new line below, so, the button isn't really where I want it to be. The "dir" attribute doesn't seem to work with a span tag, and if I display the p tag inline using css p { display:inline; } the button is no longer right aligned. Instead it stays in the left hand corner. Is there a way to get this button in the upper right hand corner without two unnecessary new lines and without a bunch of  ?

    Here's the page: http://www.gammagoochee.com/media/ WP is adding a p tag on line 55 between the end of my header and the beginning of my post content. I am using Raw HTML Pro, and the post starts with content surrounded by [raw] tags. There is no content between the last tag in my header, and the beginning of my post. This doesn't happen on my other site pages, and the only difference is that this page is using a template, but the template is the same in this part of the page. All the template does differently than the other site pages is add a sidebar. Anyone have any ideas whatsoever why WP is adding this p tag, and/or how I can prevent it? Thanks so much!

    Using ThunderBird 3 on Windows 7. When I get a mail with a link, I usually click it, if I know what it's about. Sadly, Thunderbird switches to Firefox which is opening the new tab. I'm active on several forums and get several of these messages per day. I don't want to click a link, be forced into firefox, go back to thunderbird, click a link, be forced into Firefox, etc... Is there an option to disable this? If not, I can see myself quitting Thunderbird altogheter and simply using web-based email checking instead of using an app.

  • Why do my Google sitelinks show gibberish for a PDF link?

    I have a website which Google lists nicely along with site links. One of the site links - to a PDF file - shows un-human gibberish e.g 67,8;45:: 56 83 @7<1. (7/0;,*;: /59( (7/0;,;<7, <7)(60:4 (9<7 /+ +2, VU I thought it might be due to the PDF's title property so I changed it. But there hasn't been an improvement to the site link. Other PDF site links are fine and display the title property as desired. Does anyone know how I might rectify this problem or what might be the cause? My uninformed guess is it's some transliteration problem between code and display text which, I suppose, means I ought to recondition the PDF file in some way. Not sure how.

My questions are: will Googlebot receive the prerendered version, or allow JavaScript to instead invoke pushState, etc. if it doesn't make the direct request, will it wait for AJAX content to be loaded? does Googlebot implement pushState, so it will show the proper URL in search results?

    I have Ubuntu 12.04 on an older desktop PC, and I am finding it much harder to connect to a wifi connection than it should be. I have an iPhone with which I want to tether to it with Mifi 4.0, but I need to install ipheth which I can't do without internet on that computer. I am typing from my other windows pc with which i can download and move hings with thumb drives, but haven't gotten keryx to work. I also found a D-Link DWL-G520 HIGH SPEED 2.4GHZ (802.11G) WIRELESS 108MBPS PCI ADAPTER which I installed, but can't find a driver to put on a flashdrive to use it. If anybody has any ideas, they are appreciated. I am a noob, and I don't want to have to move the comp. downstairs to plug into the modem. PS: I also have a netgear USB network adapter, which doesn't work with my Ubuntu.

I've add a new document submitting form there user can enter a list of tags separated with commas (new tag will be added, if not exist already).     Hi everyone (my first post!), I have an HQL question (in Groovy/Grails) I was hoping someone could help me with. I have a simple Asset object with a one-to-many Tags collection. class Asset { Set tags static hasMany = [tags:Tag] } class Tag { String name } What I'm trying to do in HQL: A user passes in some tags in params.tags (ex: groovy grails rocks) and wants to return Asset(s) that have those tags, and only those exact tags. Here's my HQL that returns Assets if one or more of the tags are present in an Assets tags: SELECT DISTINCT a FROM Asset a LEFT JOIN a.tags t WHERE t IN (:tags) assetList = Asset.executeQuery( hql, [tags:tokenizedTagListFromParams] The above code works perfect, but its really like an OR. If any of the tag(s) are found, it will return that Asset. I only want to return Assets that have those exact same tags (in number as well). Every time a new tag is created, I new Tag(name:xxx).save() so I can get the Tag instances and unique ID's for each tag that was asked for. I also tried converting the passed in tags to a list of Tag instances with Tag.findByName(t1) for each tag, and also a list of (unique) Tag Id's into the HQL above with no luck.
