    I know PHP 5 has some object oriented similarities but it's not a true OOP environment still right? Also does it have a true compiler? I see compiling of scripts which still means procedural. I assume it's not a real compiler in that any PHP compilers out there do not create assemblies?

    As I understand it, you can enter any non-structured information into a document-oriented database. Let's imagine a document like this: { name: 'John Blank', yearOfBirth: 1960 } Later, in a new version, this structure is refactored to { firstname: 'John', lastname: 'Blank', yearOfBirth: 1960 } How do you do this with Document-Oriented databases? Do you have to prepare merge-scripts, that alter all your entries in the database? Or are there better ways you can handle changes in the structure?

What it does is that it will automatically open any file given as a command line argument and in this case print the content of that file. If no file is given it will instead read from standard input. while ( <> ) { print $_; } Is there a way to do something similar in Python without having to explicitly open each file?

    Hi all I am using the markitup editor to get the value for one of my fields and storing it a sql server 2008 db. Now I guess the problem is people having script tags and javascript in the editor and injecting malicious scripts and I have my validate input turned false. So can anyone suggest me a way to write a custom validation method that maybe checks for script tags and removes them...or just guide me through the steps i need to do ?...also are there other things also that I should be worried about..?

    I haven't quite figured this out. EVERY piece of documentation I've found covers how to use xdebug to debug scripts running in Apache. I need to debug a php CLI script. So, for instance, how do I pass the XDEBUG_SESSION_START variable in to get xdebug to kick on? I'm specifically trying to debug a CakePHP shell.     Is there a way to check the syntax of a SQLite3 script without running it? Basically, I'm looking for the SQLite3 equivalent of ruby -c script.rb, perl -c script.pl, php --syntax-check script.php, etc. I've thought of using explain, but most of the scripts I'd like to check are kept around for reference purposes (and don't necessarily have an associated database). Using explain would also make it hard to use with something like Syntastic. (That is, I'm only wanting to check syntax, not semantics.)

    Are there any libraries or frameworks that provide the functionality of a browser, but do not need to actually render physically onto the screen? I want to automate navigation on web pages (Mechanize does this, for example), but I want the full browser experience, including Javascript. Thus, I'd like to have a virtual browser of some sort, that I can use to "click on links" programmatically, have DOM elements and JS scripts render within it, and manipulate these elements. Solution preferably in Python, but I can manage others.
