  • One Comcast Business Gateway, One Router, Two Web Servers

    I have a Comcast business account with a router and a web server (info) attached. behind the router there are multiple computers and a second web server (info) which also serves as a file server. (info) has two nics in it. One direct to comcast and one connected to the router. It needs to serve the world it's websites. It needs however, to also be able to see all the internal computers and (com)'s served files. With just 1 nic (the one connected to the router, not comcast), (info) works fine but no one outside can see it. (com) services port 80 and (info) needs to handle port 80 as well. I have two domain names registered, and 5 static ip's from comcast. right now h t t p: / /www.graceamazing.com handled by (com) works fine and h t t p: / /www.graceamazing.com:1307 handled by (info) works fine. but as soon as I enable the 2nd nic in (info) h t t p: / /www.graceamazing.info runs extremely slow (Horribly slow). however, h t t p: / /www.graceamazing.com:1307 and .com work fine. (com) has an ip address via the router 70.89.233.41 (info) has a ip addy of 70.89.233.46 via comcast (2nd nic) and a internal ip of 192.168.x.100 via static behind the router. Any suggestions or changes to make that will make h t t p: / /www.graceamazing.info perform with the same speed it has when going through h t t p: / /graceamazing.com:1307 is there a setting I should check / could have misssed?

    I have a class C that I want to better understand before I implement a change. Right now, ip address 192.168.0.1 255.255.255.192 ip address 192.168.0.65 255.255.255.240 secondary So, where is the 192.168.0.64 address in that mix? 192.168.0.63 should be the broadcast for the first one, and 192.168.0.65 should be the cisco secondary ip. And ... How then do I add a /28 (255.255.255.240) right before this segment: ip address 192.168.0.249 255.255.255.248 secondary In fact, I'll probably want to add it as a subinterface Can anyone help me to better understand whats going on and then how to do it?

  • Problem routing between directly connected Subnets w/ ASA-5510

    This is an issue I've been struggling with for quite some time, with a seemingly simple answer (Aren't all IT problems?). And that is the problem of passing traffic between two directly connected subnets with an ASA While I'm aware that best practice is to have Internet - Firewall - Router, in many cases this isn't possible. For example, In have an ASA with two interfaces, named OutsideNetwork (10.19.200.3/24) and InternalNetwork (10.19.4.254/24). You'd expect Outside to be able to get to, say, 10.19.4.1, or at LEAST 10.19.4.254, but pinging the interface gives only bad news. Result of the command: "ping OutsideNetwork 10.19.4.254" Type escape sequence to abort. Sending 5, 100-byte ICMP Echos to 10.19.4.254, timeout is 2 seconds: ????? Success rate is 0 percent (0/5) Naturally, you'd assume that you could add a static route, to no avail. [ERROR] route Outsidenetwork 10.19.4.0 255.255.255.0 10.19.4.254 1 Cannot add route, connected route exists At this point, you might gander if its a NAT or Access list problem. access-list Outsidenetwork_access_in extended permit ip any any access-list Internalnetwork_access_in extended permit ip any any There is no dynamic nat (or static nat for that matter), and Unnatted traffic is permitted. When I try pinging the above address (10.19.4.254 from Outsidenetwork), I get this error message from level 0 logging (debugging). Routing failed to locate next hop for icmp from NP Identity Ifc:10.19.200.3/0 to Outsidenetwork:10.19.4.1/0 This led me to set same-security traffic permit, and assigned the same, lesser and greater security numbers between the two interfaces. Am I overlooking something obvious? Is there a command to set static routes that are classified higher than connected routes?

    A building with 4 floors, each floor is divided as follows; 15 users for accounting, 15 users for finance and 15 users for marketing (i.e 45 user in each floor). Data center is located on the ground floor, with 45 servers to be divided into 15 for all the accounting users in the four floors, another 15 for the finance and the last 15 for the marketing. (i.e each 15 server for each one of the above categories are separated from the other 15 and so on) What is the proper subnetting design for such scenario? Knowing that we are allowed to use anything we want!

  • Masking a Drawable/Bitmap on Android

    I'm currently looking for a way to use a black and white bitmap to mask the alpha channel of another bitmap or Drawable on Android. I'm curious as to what the best way to do this is. I certainly have a couple of ideas for how to do this, but they are not optimal. I need to be able to apply a new mask to the image every so often (the black and white bitmap will change every few seconds). Any feedback on how to achieve this would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi, I'm fairly new to Shoes and ran into two problems. First I want to set a mask using a partially transparent png, like this: mask do image "images/stencilMask.png" end Is this possible somehow or can only vector shapes be used? Apart from that, I noticed a small bug(?) when trying to set a transparent color as a stroke on any kind of text, like this: title "Hello", :stroke => rgb(1.0, 0.0, 0.0, 0.5) The transparency simply isn't applied.     I want to setup a jailed SFTP account for a subfolder of another user's home folder, but want the owner of everything in that subfolder to stay the same, including new files and folders uploaded and created by the sftp user, while still allowing access to the files and folders of that subfolder as if the SFTP user was the parent user. rawny bawb-sftp /home/rawny <- rawny owns this /home/rawny/sftp <- rawny owns this too, but bawb-sftp can upload to it, edit files, etc bawb-sftp uploads a file /home/rawny/sftp/lol.txt rawny should still own the file, as if he made it in the first place, even though bawb-sftp was the one that uploaded it. Basically I guess I'm asking for an sftp jail that acts as a highly limited passthrough/puppet for another user?

  • UITableView not rotating even after using autoresize mask and shouldAutororateForInterfaceOrientatio

    I have a UIView, that contains a navigation bar, and UITableView. I implemented a UIViewController that implements a UITableViewDelegate. I over-rided the shouldAutorotateForInterfaceOrientation for the UIView to return YES for landscape and portrait mode. But the View does not seem to rotate. I did a similar thing without the Navigation bar and the Tableview and the view rotates. Is is something i am missing.

    Hello all, Two things: Firstly - I have version 2 of a website located in a folder named v2, and I want to redirect any traffic that is NOT a child of the v2 folder, to www.example.com/v2 The old site located in the root was created in iWeb and has a LOT of subfolders and sub-subfolders. So: www.example.com/v2 = New site www.example.com/Page.html www.example.com/category/Page.html ww.example.com/category/subcategory/Page.html = All generic examples of what I need to redirect. Secondly, and I don't know if this is possible, I want to hide /v2/ in the URL, so that visitors will just see www.example.com/page even though they are actually on www.example.com/v2/page Links are hardcoded to the v2 folder, like so <a href="v2/contact.html" Any help is MOST appreciated. I've spent hours trying to figure this out, but I'm only just learning about htaccess and regular expressions, and am totally confused. Thanks so much!

    I want to be able to create a greyscale image with no alpha from a png in the app bundle. This works, and I get an image created: // Create graphics context the size of the overlapping rectangle UIGraphicsBeginImageContext(rectangleOfOverlap.size); CGContextRef ctx = UIGraphicsGetCurrentContext(); // More stuff CGContextDrawImage(ctx, drawRect2, [UIImage imageNamed:@"Image 01.png"].CGImage); // Create the new UIImage from the context UIImage *newImage = UIGraphicsGetImageFromCurrentImageContext(); However the resulting image is 32 bits per pixel and has an alpha channel, so when I use CGCreateImageWithMask it doesn't work. I've tried creating a bitmap context thus: CGColorSpaceRef colorSpace = CGColorSpaceCreateDeviceGray(); CGContextRef ctx =CGBitmapContextCreate(nil, rectangleOfOverlap.size.width, rectangleOfOverlap.size.height, 8, rectangleOfOverlap.size.width , colorSpace, kCGImageAlphaNone); UIGraphicsGetImageFromCurrentImageContext returns zero and the resulting image is not created.     Okay so I am launching a cloned e-commerce site. I want to create a rewrite rule for the image folder for the second site to fetch images from the first site. RewriteRule ^alice.gif$ www.rhinomart.com/images/h_home.gif When I go to alice.gif directly through the browser it simply redirects me to the rhinomart.com URL and image. How do I prevent the redirect from occurring? When I go to http://www.acnbiz.net/alice.gif it should fetch alice.gif directly from Rhinomart.com/images and not redirect. is it possible???

    Is there a way I can specify an input mask to the EditText control in Android? I want be able to specify something like ### - ## - #### for a Social Security Number. This will cause any invalid input to be rejected automatically (example, I type alphabetical characters instead of numeric digits).     I'm trying to find a way to handle several bitfield cases that include optional, required, and not allowed positions. yy?nnn?y 11000001 ?yyy?nnn 01110000 nn?yyy?n 00011100 ?nnn?yyy 00000111 In these four cases, the ? indicates that the bit can be either 1 or 0 while y indicates a 1 is required and n indicates that a 0 is required. The bits to the left/right of the required bits can be anything and the remaining bits must be 0. Is there a masking method I can use to test if an input bit set satisfies one of these cases?

But does anyone have any suggestions about how to rewrite the macro to avoid the warning? Or, failing that, how to redesign the macro interface for this? Thanks in advance

  • masking a UIImage

    I'm working on an app that can change the borders or a rectangular UIImage. The borders will vary, but will look like the UIImage was cut out with scissors, or something to that affect. What is the best way to do this? My first thought is to prep a bunch of transparent PNGs with the correct border effect I'm looking for, and then somehow use that as a mask for my UIImage. Is this the right path? Or is there a more flexible programmatic way to do this?
