  looking for recommendations on ESX4 OS - VMFS version3: RAID-5 : matching the stripe size with VMFS block size? (64K, 128K etc) RAID controller options: "adaptive read ahead, write-back" on PERC 6i 90% VMs on server are Windows (2008, 2003, Vista etc, SQL 2005 etc) i have read that smaller stipes are good for writes and larger for reads. Since this is virtual env, not sure whats good.

  Does anyone know how to embed a video in a powerpoint presentation in such a way that it can be moved to another computer? Possible solutions I'm considering: Actually embed the video file into the powerpoint file. This would be ideal, but I don't know how to do this. Insert a reference to the video into the presentation. I need this to be a relative path, though, not an absolute path. EDIT: I forgot to mention I'm using powerpoint 2003

  Hi all, I have a linux (Slackware) machine and the time/date is like, June 23rd 2003, 10:00am (It's 11 here) and I am not able to set the time to have it correct.   Whenever I start my VM (Server 2003) it fails to pick up an IP address. It doesnt matter whether bridged or host and affects more than one image. If I set a static iP in the image on the same subnet as the host I cant ping anything on the network. Any ideas?

  I am trying to make an export of a list in SharePoint to an Excel spreadsheet. I have added all needed fields to my default view of the list, (like Publishing Start Date / End date) but some fields (like Publishing Start Date / End date) don't show up in Excel. Any idea? EDIT: My setup is a MOSS standard edition, the needed fields (Publishing Start Date / End date) are standard SharePoint publishing fields. The versions of Excel I tried it with are 2003 and 2007

I can browse a cube from BIDS on the same VM, but when I try to browse the same cube on a windows 7 (home premium) networked machine, I get a connection error. The error suggests checking the datasource settings which I have, and when I click "test connection" on the datasource it is successful. Looking for probably causes and solutions?

  In a Word document (2003) I'm using Header outlinining (where headings are put into the style Heading 1, Heading 2, Heading 3 and so on). How do I put in the page header the current style header name (of any depth) like "Most Recent Header, continued"? • Weird Excel bar diagram behaviour

  I have a very simple question. I want to have a diagram with the following table: Apple 30 40 50 Pears 200 300 400 Bananas 10 20 30 The weird thing is, when I try to draw a bar diagram the order of the bars changes. So Excel first draws the bananas, then the pears, and finally the apple bar... Is there anyway to tell Excel 2003 to keep the original order? Thank you very much
