• MS Access Draw line around detail section that can grow

  This really shouldn't be hard, I just can't figure out how to do it. I am making a proposal report that needs to have a border around it. The problem is to get the vertical lines on the side. I can't figure out how to get a line to grow and shrink based on the height of the detail section. I have used Crystal reports and sure wish Microsoft would learn a few things in regards to MS Access report writing! I am very comfortable with VBA so have no fears there. :-) Thanks, Jeff

• Scrollbar within a scrollbar only make the inner scrollbar jump to id

  I have a page that requires a scrollbar - http://www.aus-media.com/dev/site_BYJ/schedule-pricing/pricing.html You will notice (unless you are running at a high resolution with a big screen) that there is an outer scrollbar for the main page as well as an inner scrollbar for the content. When you click on one of the sub items e.g. payments you will notice that the outer page scrolls down as well as the inner scrollbar. Does anybody know of a way to only scroll the inner scrollbar, so only it jumps to the id? Thanks guys Nik

  Ok I'm a newbie at Android programming, have a hard time with the graphics part. Understand the beauty of creating layout in XML file, but lost how to access various elements, especially a View element to draw on it. Catching button events and responding to, for example changing title bar text and changing View background color works fine, but how the heck do I access and more importantly draw on the view defined in main.xml UPDATE: That for your suggestion, however besides that I need a View, not ImageView and you are missing a parameter on canvas.drawText and an ending bracket, it does not work. Now this is most likely because you missed the fact that I am a newbie and assuming I can fill in any blanks. I hope somebody can break this down for me and provide a solution, and perhaps explain why I can't just create a View element in my main.xml layotu file and draw on it in code.

• location.hash in an iframe scrolls the parent window

  Hi all. I have a page with an iframe. Inside the iframe is code (that I can't change) that sets location.hash to the id of an element in the iframe window. This has the unwanted effect of scrolling my outermost browser window so that the top of the window touches the top of the iframe. This is quite annoying as I have a toolbar above the iframe that is vital to my app. Is there any way of preventing the setting of location.hash affecting the scroll position of the main window? Will preventDefault help me out here? Thanks!

  Hi There, can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong. I am trying to load a UIScrollView in a UIView. I am using IB to load the items and what not. the come I am using in the ViewController isnt working. :( I have it under the ViewDidLoad - (void)viewDidLoad { [scrollView setScrollEnabled:YES]; [scrollView setContentSize:CGSizeMake(768, 1300)]; } Whats wrong with it. • Flash in firefox does not start unitl they show in page

  I have this little problem. My client wanted two distinct swf on a web page: a viewer on top and a slideshow of images at bottom. Clicking a link on the slideshow make the viewer load a movie, by means of LocalConnection api. The slideshow has a default, so when the page is loaded a default movie start. This works nice on all browser. The only problem I have is on firefox. When screen resolution is too low, or the monitor is too small (netbook) the slideshow remain hidden until scrolling. Therefore at page loading it doesn't start and the main viewer don't get instructed on playing the default video. As soon as I scroll the page, and the slideshow swf display on page, it starts and everything works fine. Do you know if there are any solution to this ? I cannot change the design, I must have two distinct swf, they come from a library he has, and I am trying to reuse components. thanks Leonardo

• br line-height in safari and chrome leaving gap

  In my HTML I have a div and inside the div I have different vertical spacing between lines of text. I achieve this by using breaks and defining the height, i.e. <br /><br class="height5" /> or height2 or height10 or whatever. In my stylesheet I define it like: br.height2 {line-height:2px;} br.height5 {line-height:5px;} This is working in IE6+ FF2+ and Opera but for some reason there are huge gaps in Safari and Chrome (like those two browsers are ignoring it and just applying regular breaks). I tried testing with larger line-heights like 20px or 30px and Safari and Chrome recognize those. They seem to be ignoring anything under 5-10 pixels. Help? Thanks!

  Can anyone point me to an example of code for a page that begins to automatically scroll when the user is idle for an amount of time? I think this is slightly beyond my skill set. I think JQuery or something similar might be appropriate but I just can't seem to figure it out. I'm designing a site for the nonprofit I work for and we don't have the money to hire a programmer. • How to troubleshoot deallocation of object in uitableview?

  I have a table view with tall cells. About 300 in height. The cells are custom and have an associated nib. In cellForRowAtIndexPath, I access an object in an array using indexPath.row. The object has properties, which I assign to labels on the custom cell. This works fine for the first two cells. Once I scroll enough for the third cell to get created, the app crashes. • Ajax Div Maintain Height

  Greetings, I have a list of user comments on a page, with a next button which makes an Ajax call to get the second set of comments. The problem is, the height of the comments div temporarily becomes very small while the loading bar is in place. This makes the user need to scroll back down to see the new comments The issue can be seen at the bottom of this page by clicking "Next" comments. Is there a way to force the div to maintain its height through Javascript? I do not want to hard code the div height in case a page has 3 or less comments.

• UITableView details as a subview

  Hi all, I have a UITableView in iPhone with enough cell to make it scrollable. I would like to have a subview display whenever I click on a cell, rather than using the navigation controller behaviour. The problem is that I cannot calculate the CGRect exactly to have the subview always centered in page, because the CGRect is calculated from top of table, and if I scroll table and click cell, the subview will be added out of screen. The solution could be easy, but I don't know if it's possible: identify the portion of the current viewable area of the UITableView and obtain in some way the frame and therefore origin and size, then build a subview based on such coordinates. Do you think it's possible without writing not too much code ? thanks Leonardo

  I'm trying to display a list of open tab names in a listview or listbox (recommendations?). Been going through the different type of binding options and I'm able to bind to a single tab name but it displays vertical instead of horizontal. Unfortunately this doesn't worked correctly. It scrolls down, but not always, and not always to the bottom. Any hints?

• Replicate behavior of Android browser

  Hi all, I am writing for Android, and I can't figure out how to replicate the effect of the Android browser where the progress bar is at the top of the screen, with the webview below it, yet when you scroll down, the bar scrolls with the page. I've tried placing both the webview and the progress bar into a scrollview, but when I do that, the webview becomes completely unresponsive and will not load (or respond to any commands, for that matter). Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! P.S., I'm using the Eclipse IDE, and I'd like to to continue using the 1.5 SDK if possible to maintain backwards compatibility (and just to be able use my own application -- my phone isn't getting 2.1 for a couple of months).

• How can I make two "user" editable areas in Wordpress?

  Hi all, is there a way to have two posting areas in Wordpress, for clients who can not go into any HTML? Basically the template has 3 columns. One is vertical nav, thats no prob. Second is like a "sidebar" but where the main post will go, a skinny column. Third is large, "main area" size, but will also be user editable content. Does that make sense?   This one's got me stumped. Usually with a little CSS juggling here and there I am able to solve most IE7 CSS bugs, but not this one! Head on over to the example page and view it in IE7, you will soon see that when mousing over the (vertical) drop down menu on the left of the page, it opens the sub menu WAY over to the right. I have pulled every last hair out! If it helps, the menu was made with 'Sothink DHTML Menu 9' As always, all replies are much appreciated.

• C#: How to change the region containing MDI children?

  When creating a MDI parent, the entire "inside" of the form is made the MDI region. If you add a menustrip to the MDI parent, the MDI region is scaled down a bit to make room for the menustrip. But if you add a panel to the top of the MDI parent, the entire inside is still the MDI region. Which means that you can move MDI children up behind the panel, and hide their title line. If you move MDI children behind a menustrip, scrollbars appear, and you can scroll higher up to access the title line. But the scrollbars doesn't appear when you are using a panel instead of a menustrip. Because the MDI region doesn't know about the panel, I suppose. How can I scale the MDI region to start below a given Y value?

  Hi, I'm new to winforms and have tried to track down an answer to the following with no luck ... I have a panel in winforms and add to it a Rectangle that is wider than the panel itself. I've set the panel AutoScroll property to true however the panels horizontal scrollbar never appears. Why is this? And how do I get the scrollbar to scroll?
