    I have just found a very good resource about Hekaton (In-memory OLTP feature in the SQL Server 2014). On the Codeplex site you can find the newest Hekaton samples - https://msftdbprodsamples.codeplex.com/releases/view/114491. The latest samples we have were related to the CTP2 version but the newest will work with the RTM version.There are some issues fixed you might find if you tried to run the previous samples on the RTM version:Update (Apr 28, 2014): Fixed an issue where the isolation level for sample stored procedures demonstrating integrity checks was too low. The transaction isolation level for the following stored procedures was updated: Sales.uspInsertSpecialOfferProductinmem, Sales.uspDeleteSpecialOfferinmem, Production.uspInsertProductinmem, and Production.uspDeleteProductinmem.

  • How to use the Value of a Selected Value from a DropDownList populated with AJAX/PHP

    Hi, I have form with two dropdownlists (lets say A and B). When I select a value from A, B is being populated accordingly using AJAX In the same page I have a button, that when pressed, posts the values of the selected items of the dropdownlists to another PHP page. The problem I am having is that the selected value of B is returned as Blank/Empty. Is there a way to store the selected value of a dropdownlist populated using AJAX?   • Preserving Bitmap values when creating a new Bitmap from System.Drawing.Image

    I'm trying to create a resized image from a bitmap, set a new height/width and a new resolution and save it to PNG. I can do this either from directly A) Image.FromFile(filename) or B) New Bitmap(imageSource) to create the the A Bitmap to be passed to B. Both work okay schmokay, but A does not allow me to set a new width/height on creation (but it does allow me to preserve values with useIcm=True) and B does not allow me to preseve values. Okay, now on to some code and examples: Dim sourceBitmap As New Bitmap(imagePath & myImage1Name) <-not good at all (#1 overload). Doesn't preserve things like HorizontalResolution or PixelFormat on .Save Dim sourceBitmap2 As Bitmap = Image.FromFile(imagePath & myImage1Name, True) <-not good (#5 overload). it does preserve things like HorizontalResolution or PixelFormat on .Save, but it doesn't allow me to initialize image at a new size. Dim targetBitmap As New Bitmap(sourceBitmap2, newWidth, newHeight) <-not good. Even though sourceBitmap2 (see #2 above) was initialized with useIcm=True, it doesn't matter once I've passed it in as the source in targetBitmap. Basically, I'm looking for a way to contruct a New Bitmap with both something like useIcm=True and set the width/height at the same time (Width/Height are read-only properties once it's created). I've gone down the Graphics.DrawImage route as well and it's the same - Graphics.FromImage(sourceBitmap) does not preserve values. Why do I need these values to be preserved? Because I need to convert these pictures to PNG (for file size) with a new resolution and keep the same physical dimensions (w/h in inches) for printing. I know the new pixel width/height needed based on the resolution values I'll pass in with .SetResolution(xDpi,yDpi) to preserve physical dimensions, so that's not the problem. The issue is things like the PixelFormatSize need to remain unchanged (yes, I've tried EncoderParameters - they don't work. I can give you the gory details if you like, but suffice it to say for now, they just don't work). Whew, got that off my chest! Okay, anyone who really knows how all this works can help?

    Within my ListField, I want to be able to take any given long String, and just be able to wrap the first line within the width of the screen, and just take the remaining string and display it below and ellipsis the rest. Is there a better way to do this sort of thing, since I am fresh out of ideas?

  • Make Div overlay ENTIRE page (not just viewport)??

    Hello, So I have a problem that I think is quite common but I have yet to find a good solution for. I want to make an overlay div cover the ENTIRE page... NOT just the viewport. I don't understand why this is so hard to do... I've tried setting body, html heights to 100% etc but that isn't working.   • Ubuntu 12.04. Compiz Failure. Computer has nothing to use

    I updated to Ubuntu 12.04 with Compiz..now Compiz is failing and I have no tool bars or ways of getting to applications except for firefox from a link presented from sending an error report. How am I supposed to: Fix this mess with no navigation to get to the terminal, or software center. When will this problem be fixed? When I updated the system why didn't it change me back to the crappy Unity interface (No offense). If it can't be fixed how do I get my files back?

    Hi, I am all in favor of CSS based layouts, but this one I just can't figure out. Again this is easy with the table. Delete the column and "Content" expands. Beautiful. I have looked through many examples (and "holy grails") of liquid and table less three-column CSS based layouts, but I have not found one which is not using some kind of margin-left for the middle column ("Content"). Any margin-left will suck once "Left" is gone as "Content" will just stay at it's place. I'm just about to switch to old school table based layout for this problem, so I'm hoping someone has some idea - I don't care about excess markup, wrappers and the like, I would just like to know how to solve this with plain CSS. Btw: look at how easy equal height columns are... Cheers PS: No CSS3 please

  • Cannot login via Unity login screen after upgrade to 12.04

    Logging in via the shell accessed through Ctrl+Alt-F1 and logging in as guest via the graphical user interface work 0O When I try to log into my standard user account via the graphical interface, the screen flashes to black for a couple of seconds and bumps me back to a pristine login screen. Entering a wrong password for my user account yields the standard error message - my user account and credential verification seem to be OK. I suppose that my individual graphics configuration causes problems ... I'm not sure how to reset that. I've tried stopping the UI via sudo service lightdm stop executed sudo nvidia-xconfig and restarted the UI sudo service lightdm start to no avail. My workstation has a Nvidia GeForce 560-448 graphics card. I've tried getting this fixed with the latest Nvidia 64-bit drivers (cURL'ed from the official website), that is 295.49 and the latest beta driver 302.07. Anybody have an idea how to get this fixed? Your help is appreciated :)

    Totem never works right in my experience. My latest problem is that totem will not display some video Thumbnails. I fixed the problem by installing ffmpegthumbnailer and using this to generate thumbnails. But unfortunately it appears to have only fixed the problem within Nautilus. Shotwell, it seems, is still relying on Totem for its thumbnails because all the same videos that Totem wouldn't show Thumbnails for, Shotwell still won't either--even though Nautilus is now showing thumbnails for them because of ffmpegthumbnailer. How do I get Shotwell to use ffmpegthumbnailer instead of Totem for video thumbnails?

    I have an image class (VisionImage) that is a black box to me. I'm attempting to serialize the image object to file using Serialization Surrogates as explained on this page. Upon further inspection, the object and the resulting image are both marked as disposed.     I've just started a programming job where I'm applying my 'How to code' knowledge to what I'm being taught of 'How to Program' (They are different!). As well of this I'm taught how to capture requirements from clients, so as to start a new project. How do I do this for a nebulous personal project? I say nebulous, as I often find halfway through programming something, I want to expand what my program will do, or alter the result. Eventually I'm tangled in code, and have to restart. This can be frustrating and off putting. Conversely when given a fixed task, and fixed requirements, it's much easier to programme from a - b. So how do I plan a personal programming project?
